The journey through the cavern was actually quite uneventful. Ercesi led Ed around and pointed to some markings left behind by themselves and others to classify the tunnels.

"This means mushrooms are this way. They are actually quite valuable but as they originate from the mushroom god, yourself, it's mostly for sightseeing" Ercesi's explanation told Ed that tourism in a dungeon was apparently viable. More notably however it also told Ed that the lizardmen still seemed to paint him as some fungi overlord.
'I thought I would have rid myself of that image by now…' It wasn't exactly bothersome but it was also quite difficult to accept.
After all the markings were explained to Ed and Dakgu it was just a matter of avoiding dangerous tunnels and walking briskly to their destination.
