Introduction
My name is Kevin Grant and this comedic epic of tradegy, family, superheroes and blah blah blah starts at the change of the century. You know, the one after the Revolution? You may know my distant cousin and his son, James and Ulysses Grant. Still can't believe they voted for that idiot after all the stuff his son was doing.
I've been around for a while and I gotta say…
The coffee in this dimension is wayyy better than it was two hundred years ago. Like, mother forgive, it's wayyy better. Oh sorry, I need to tell you my origin or something like that right?
Well this all started in fire. DC burning in 1812 to be more specific. My branch of the Grant family were volunteer militia of a sort. Defending our land annnnd we get our butts handed to us. The last thing I remember of my loving mother and sisters were their screams from the burning Colonial home we had built. The memory is hazy but after two hundred years it's hard to remember.
Did I establish burning? There's lots of burning.
So we're running right? Then we lose our… eh times were different then, but our "esteemed servant". We knew he wasn't deserting because we all almost lost each other. Long story short, we find him in this cave: dead.
So we check out the body and hey, he's holding onto the bloody palantír from Lord of the Rings. What? I fought with the dude who wrote that… kinda.
Anyways, that… thing started talking to us. Telling us promises of power and crap. Then we fell for it cuz we were idiots who like completely ignored my dear friend's dead as hell body. That's how I died… but I lived! Truth be told, the magic in that thing could hypnotize anyone. I found out after the fact how weak humans are compared to aliens from other planets who like to wear a giant 'S' on their uniforms.
After going through some, eh, "adjustments" my brothers and I were given powers from the orbs owner: Satan. After passing through hells of all sorts (there's more than one) I came back home sometime in the 1880's. It was tough but WW1 & WW2 were easy compared to the hells I've been trapped in for decades.
I was at the 1936 summer Olympics and let me just say: Hitler was a dick. Eva Braun was hot at the time though can't lie, sorry. Gosh darnit, let's just fast forward to when I get drafted into a team of women running around half naked and men running around in skin-tight condoms.
