Chapter 122 - The Mad Men

The horse's carriage stopped in front of the Fang residence. The decorations for the wedding were already in place, an opulent display. The four guards at the door immediately stopped Guo Longtong.

"Please wait a moment," a guard said, "I will notify Mr. Ma."

"Get out of my way!" Guo Longtong shouted, his face contorted with rage. He drew Lim Peizhi's sword and pointed it at the guards, disregarding protocol.

One guard bravely grabbed Guo Longtong's right arm and twisted it, attempting to disarm him.

"Let go of me!" Guo Longtong grunted in pain, struggling.

Huang Hongse flew over and, with a powerful kick, sent the guard to the ground. "You dare to touch him, you imbecile!" she snarled.

She kicked him hard on the stomach, which caused the guard to fly backward and crash onto a tiger statue by the front door. The guard lay on the ground, muttering in pain.

The second guard swung his sword at Huang Hongse. She gracefully stepped aside and grabbed the guard's right hand with her left hand. Then she hit the guard's nose with her right fist, and blood sprayed out from his broken nose.

The other two guards swung their swords at Huang Hongse. She did two backflips, avoiding their attacks, and issued a rope talisman to one of the guards, binding him. She knocked off the sword of the other guard with her left foot and hit the guard on the back of the neck fiercely. The guard fell directly to the ground, unconscious.

Huang Hongse conjured a talisman and delivered it directly to the door, causing it to glow. She commanded, "Open!" Then the heavy, ornate door swung open.

The guard who was tied on the ground struggled hard. "You..." he stammered, unable to comprehend her power.

Huang Hongse did not respond, but merely rolled her eyes at the tied guard, dismissing him. She picked up Lim Peizhi's sword and sheathed it back. Guo Longtong, meanwhile, had grabbed a guard's sword and angrily rushed inside the Fang Residence, his fury unchecked.

The Fang family was having dinner with the Wang family, enjoying a pre-wedding meal, when Guo Longtong burst in frantically. He was waving his stolen sword everywhere, a wild figure. He was so angry that he couldn't tell who was who in the room, his vision blurred by rage.

Fang Yaoting, fearing Guo Longtong might hurt someone, quickly walked over and knocked the sword out of Guo Longtong's hand. Fang Yaoting's actions caused Guo Longtong to fall to the floor with a thump.

Guo Longtong pointed his finger at Fang Yaoting from the ground and shouted, "Fang Yaoting, how dare you hit me?!"

"Are you crazy?" Fang Yaoting retorted, bewildered by the outburst.

"You shut up!" Guo Longtong shouted back, fueled by his anger. "You are not qualified to talk to me!"

Fang Yaoting walked over to help Guo Longtong up from the floor.

"Don't touch me! Don't you dare touch me!" Guo Longtong shouted as he hit Fang Yaoting's hand away, recoiling from his touch.

Huang Hongse flew out from the main entrance, having caught up, and kicked towards Fang Yaoting, sending him staggering back.

"Hongse! Kill him!" Guo Longtong shouted, his rage overriding all reason.

Huang Hongse grinned, a fierce light in her eyes. "Alright, you can die now." She threw Lim Peizhi's sword back to Guo Longtong. She then drew her own sword out of its sheath and attacked Fang Yaoting, engaging him directly.

That night, as the Fang family and Wang family ate together, Lee Dachin remained in Fang Yaoting's room, unaware of the chaos. One of the maids ran into the room, her eyes wide with panic.

"Childe Lee... Childe Lee," the maid gasped, out of breath. "There are two lunatics who broke in and began to attack Young Master Fang!"

"Do you know who they are?" Lee Dachin asked, his heart sinking with dread.

"A man and a woman," the maid stammered.

Lee Dachin, worried about Fang Yaoting's safety, immediately ran to the main dining room.

"How dare you two interrupt our dinner?" Officer Wang, present at the dinner, demanded, his voice stern.

Huang Hongse dodged Fang Yaoting's strikes by flipping backward four times, retreating into the front yard. Twenty-five officers and twenty guards rushed forward to surround Huang Hongse, engaging her in battle. Officer Wang, meanwhile, grabbed Guo Longtong's right shoulder, subduing him.

"Let go of me!" Guo Longtong struggled, still trying to fight.

The forty-five men were fighting fiercely with Huang Hongse, a testament to her formidable skill.

"Fang Yaoting, how dare you use these people to fight against Hongse?" Guo Longtong shouted, infuriated.

"You are the one who broke into this residence!" Officer Wang retorted.

"Fang Yaoting, you are a coward!" Guo Longtong shouted. He stretched out his injured arm towards Fang Yaoting. "Fight me! If you are a man, you will fight me!"

Suddenly, six officers fighting Hongse knelt on the ground, paralyzed, and hundreds of icicles appeared around the guards and officers, freezing them in place. Huang Hongse deftly avoided an attack and flipped backward toward the front door, creating distance.

Zhao Renshu walked inside furiously, his eyes blazing. "Let go of him!" He looked straight at Fang Yaoting, his face grim. "You should know my patience is limited."

Fang Yaoting walked over to Officer Wang. "Let him go," he commanded.

Officer Wang, seeing the threat from Zhao Renshu, reluctantly let go of Guo Longtong.

Guo Longtong was still very angry. He stepped forward and slapped Fang Yaoting hard across the face. "Mark my words," he spat, "I will take Dachin far, far away. You will never see him again!" He walked out and saw Lee Dachin running towards him, concern etched on his face. He grabbed Lee Dachin's hand. "We leave!" Guo Longtong dragged Lee Dachin to Zhao Renshu and Huang Hongse. "Renshu, kill them all!"

Zhao Renshu smirked. "You heard the man. Today is your unlucky day."

Guo Baiyu approached from behind Zhao Renshu, his voice calm, but firm. "Ridiculous."

"Ridiculous?" Zhao Renshu turned to Guo Baiyu, his eyes flashing. "If you saw these people besiege Hongse a moment ago, you wouldn't use that term!"

"Remove it," Guo Baiyu commanded, gesturing to the icicles and bound guards. Guo Baiyu then walked to Officer Wang. "I'm really sorry tonight. It's just a misunderstanding."

"Officer Wang," Master Fang interjected, seeking to avoid further bloodshed. "Tomorrow will be a happy day for our families. Let's go with the flow. And the one in front of you, who once rescued our family from spider-like creatures, let it pass this time."

"You are right," Officer Wang conceded, looking at the frozen guards. "Since tomorrow is a good day, there should be no killings today. Everyone can all leave."

"Let's go!" Guo Longtong said, dragging Lee Dachin out of the front door towards the carriage.

"Longtong, what are you doing?" Lee Dachin asked, resisting.

"We are leaving now!" Guo Longtong insisted.

"I won't go with you," Lee Dachin said, pulling his hand away.

"Are you crazy?" Guo Longtong asked, shocked.

"I promised him that I won't leave him," Lee Dachin replied, his voice firm.

"Dachin, he is not the only man on earth, he is getting married!" Huang Hongse tried to reason with him.

"And you are not the one he wants to marry," Zhao Renshu added, his voice laced with bitterness.

"I asked him to do it," Lee Dachin revealed, his gaze unwavering.

"Why?" Huang Yueliang asked, utterly confused.

"Master Fang knelt in front of me," Lee Dachin explained, his voice softening, "begging me to let Yaoting get married and have children to continue their family bloodline. If Yaoting marries me, I can't give him children. Yaoting disagreed, so I begged him to do it."

"He threatened you?" Guo Longtong demanded, enraged. "I have already told you that you have us to support you, so you don't have to be afraid of Fang Yaoting!"

"Longtong, you should be the person who knows me best," Lee Dachin said, a sad smile on his face. "I have always wanted to do something that makes my parents proud of me. I understand Master Fang; they have not treated me badly, and no one has forced me." He looked at his friends, tears welling in his eyes. "To be honest, the person who hurts the most is Yaoting, not me. He was put in a place where he couldn't say no."

"You have already thought about it," Ping'an observed, realizing the depth of his sacrifice.

Lee Dachin smiled, a weary but resolved expression. "Yes. I hope to see everyone tomorrow."

"We are leaving now, Dachin," Guo Baiyu said, understanding his resolve. "We will be there tomorrow."

"Count me out, I'm not coming!" Zhao Renshu laughed wildly, still angry at Fang Yaoting.

"Me too," Guo Longtong added, equally defiant.

When his friends drove away, Lee Dachin stood at the door, watching them go. He turned, and Fang Yaoting stood behind him, silent and observant.

"I thought you were leaving with them," Fang Yaoting said, his voice quiet.

Lee Dachin smiled at him. "I said, I won't leave you, and I intend to keep my word."

Fang Yaoting walked over and hugged him tightly. "Thank you," he whispered, his relief palpable.
