Narration – Gohan's POV:
It was quiet now.
The hum of the ship echoed gently, and for the first time in a while, there was no battle to prepare for, no alien tyrant to face, no disaster looming. Just… silence. And in that silence, I found myself thinking about everything.
About him.
Dad.
To the world, he's Earth's greatest warrior. To aliens like Vegeta or Frieza, he's the anomaly they never expected. To me, he's… the sun.
Warm, steady, and always watching—whether we saw him or not.
Age 3
I was never forced to fight.
Mom and Dad raised me with stories, discipline, kindness… and a lot of training disguised as playtime.
We chased birds through mountain trails to practice speed.Balanced stones on our heads while telling riddles for focus.I once broke a boulder with a punch—and Dad cooked fish bigger than me to celebrate.
He always smiled.Even when I fell.Especially when I got back up.
The Day Uncle Raditz Came (Age 4)
That day changed everything.
I remember hiding behind Mom when that scary man arrived… claiming to be Dad's brother.
But Dad? He didn't flinch. He stood calm and asked Raditz to leave. When he refused—Dad knocked him out with one blow. No death. No fear. Just power and compassion.
I saw something then.Power doesn't have to roar.Sometimes it just is.
And Raditz… he changed. He stayed with us. And he started training with me too.
The Saiyans Are Coming (Age 5)
Vegeta and Nappa came next.
Dad could've handled it himself, I knew it. We all did. But instead, he stepped aside. He watched.
And that made me mad, at first. Why wouldn't he fight?
But then… I understood.
He was letting us grow. Me. Krillin. Piccolo. Raditz. Tien. Master Roshi. Chiaotzu. Even Yamcha.
We fought together, learned to coordinate, learned what it meant to rely on each other. And when Nappa transformed into a Great Ape—Dad was already above it. But he let me do it. Even though the first time I transformed I almost killed uncle Raditz.
He trusted me.
The Space Adventure (Age 6)
Our trip to Namek wasn't just about Dragon Balls. It was a journey. We visited new planets, fought Frieza's scouts, and met alien warriors. Dad rarely intervened, even when it got rough.
He only ever stepped in when he had to.
And every time we fought—he smiled just a little. Not because we were in danger… but because we were learning.
But then Frieza came.
And Dad changed everything.
I'll never forget that light.
When Frieza had beaten all of us… when hope seemed gone…
Dad walked forward.
Just walked.
Then he appeared—hair gold as fire, aura burning like a star.
Super Saiyan.
The legend Vegeta and Nappa was spouting about over and over wasn't a myth. It was real.He was real.
And as he fought Frieza, I felt the difference. He wasn't just fighting to win. He was fighting to protect us, to give us time to heal, to give Namek a second chance.
I used to think being strong meant throwing the biggest punch. But Dad… he showed me it's more than that.
Strength is kindness. It's patience. It's knowing when to fight… and when to teach.
I still want to be strong. Strong enough to protect my family… to walk beside him, not behind.
And one day, maybe—just maybe—I'll be someone he can be proud of.
But until then…I'll keep training.I'll keep learning.And I'll keep walking this path…
Because he's my father.
And I'm Son Gohan.
