[Forest Zone 12 – After the Dragon Sighting]
When the Iron Guild guards sent the footage back, military-grade sensors confirmed what their eyes already knew: a Dragon had reappeared.
The moment command received confirmation, emergency protocols activated. Alarms echoed through the outposts, and every stationed unit went into high alert.
Backup forces were immediately dispatched—even though they all knew the truth:
If this Dragon was anything like the one from 25 years ago… no backup would make a difference.
Still, the reinforcement wasn't meant to fight—it was to buy time. Time for the global authorities to prepare, for civilians to evacuate, and for any remaining hope to take root.

[Earth – Global Authority Command Center]
In a heavily guarded facility deep underground, high-ranking officials from several nations stared at a 3D holographic projection—the Iron Guild's footage looping on screen.
There it was. Undeniable.
A Dragon.
Its wingspan alone dwarfed most Zone structures. Its presence warped light. Its energy signature was unstable, off the charts.
The lead authority figure stepped forward, voice grim.
"Send the footage to allied countries. Initiate World-Class Threat Protocol."
Across the globe, nations responded.
Superhumans—classified into threat levels and battle categories—were summoned.
Battalions mobilized. Zone Gates fortified.
The public kept in cautious darkness.
But then—
A call came in. Urgent. Confused.
"The Dragon… it appeared at the Gate for a moment… but then just flew away."
Silence fell in the command room.
"It didn't attack?" someone asked.
"No, sir. It simply passed by. No destruction. No message. Nothing."
Despite the lack of violence, the authorities remained uneasy.
"Keep your guard up. Mobilize recon units. Don't assume it's gone."
Scouting teams combed every inch of terrain around the Gate. Hours passed. No trace of the Dragon.
Eventually, the reports came in:
No presence. No energy trail. No attack.
The higher-ups relayed this to the global public through controlled broadcasts. A warning, and a reassurance.
"The Dragon has not attacked—but it has returned."
Fear hung in the air like a stormcloud.
The world had survived the last Dragon by miracle.
Would they be so lucky this time?

[Kevingu's Store – Outskirts of the City]
"Mom, it's fine. I don't need to go home," Kevingu said calmly, standing behind his dusty counter.
"Young man, you are going home, and I'm not taking no for an answer," said his stepmother, arms crossed and eyes blazing. "I already packed your things."
Earlier that day, she had been summoned along with other powerful Superhumans to prepare for deployment. But when news broke that the Dragon had left, she rushed back to the store—only to find Kevingu had done nothing.
Frustrated, she marched into his room, packed his belongings herself, and then gave her final command:
"You're coming home. It's safer there."
Kevingu sighed. "Mom… seriously?"
"Your brother and sisters are excited to see you. Don't you want to spend time with them?"
"Fine. I'm coming—but I'm not staying long. I need to watch the store."
She blinked, then laughed. "Watch what? You don't even get customers! And all you do is sleep on that damn chair all day."
Kevingu smirked. "Ouch, that was low, Mom."
Her voice softened. "You can close the store, get another job—I'll still support you, you know that, right? But no… of course, you won't. You're stubborn. Just like your father."
Then he grabbed his coat. "Let's go home, Mom."
She smiled. "That's my boy."
