They had returned to the holiday villa by five o'clock.
After a brief rest of half an hour, everyone gathered in the living room again.
"Let's review our task completion for today, starting with Zhong Xiyu," someone suggested.
The director spoke up.
Zhong Xiyu, looking downcast, said, "My task was to wake everyone up. But... Ye Wan went for a run, and Brother Chen went to the restaurant to prepare breakfast. So, I failed my task."
There was a palpable pause, during which Zhong Xiyu cast a slightly resentful glance her way.
Ye Wan pretended not to notice and continued, "My task was to persuade everyone to follow my suggestions. I failed."
Sister Ling and the others suddenly realized and couldn't help recalling Ye Wan's "I have a bold idea."
They all listened to her.
And had they followed through, the task would have been accomplished.
The only reason Ye Wan didn't complete her task was that Zhong Xiyu didn't participate.
