The city had awakened, bathing in sunlight. The streets were bustling with traffic and the clamor of the crowd.
Ling Mohan made his way unobstructed into the residential complex where Bai Xiao lived. He looked up to see that the curtains of Bai Xiao's apartment had been drawn open.
"Mr. Ling, Prince Lance is up there," one of his subordinates reported in a low voice.
Ling Mohan was momentarily startled but quickly calmed himself, "How many are there?"
"Prince Lance brought ten people, and Bai Xiao originally had six, making a total of sixteen," the subordinate answered.
"That's a bit many..." Ling Mohan frowned, clutching the hand warmer tighter.
"Mr. Ling, we can handle it, but I'm afraid it might alert the police," the subordinate said.
Ling Mohan checked the time. A plane from Country A to Country Z could take as long as twelve hours, or as quick as nine, and he had no time to waste.
