Despite the universe suffering from Wang Yang's terrifying attack and even its laws being affected, the cosmos possessed a powerful self-healing ability. Over an endless period, it would gradually recover. Wang Yang reflected on how powerful his Chaotic Thunder Spirit had become as the destructive energy dissipated and the laws of the universe slowly began to restore themselves.
Within his spiritual perception, Wang Yang noticed that the Celestial members previously protected by their leader had disappeared. The destructive force had also obliterated the debris of nearby planets. Except for Earth, which Wang Yang had protected, all other fragments and celestial bodies had been completely wiped out.
This part of the universe starkly contrasted with the outside, where countless stars shone brightly, filled with divine beings. Inside, it was a void of nothingness.
Turning his gaze toward where the Celestial leader had been, Wang Yang's senses suggested that despite his spiritual perception indicating the leader's complete disappearance, something still felt off.
After a while, when the leader still had not reappeared, Wang Yang began to think he might be overthinking. Just then, he sensed a powerful aura approaching. In the distance, a distortion in space began to form, and a twisted, transparent figure reappeared.
Wang Yang narrowed his eyes as he observed. After some time, the figure stabilized—it was the Celestial leader.
"Incredible, you're still alive," Wang Yang remarked. "As expected of the Celestial leader, your vitality is truly formidable."
However, the Celestial leader didn't seem to hear Wang Yang. His eyes were filled with confusion as he searched around.
"No need to look, they're dead," Wang Yang stated.
Upon hearing Wang Yang's words, the Celestial leader turned to him, emitting an anguished roar.
"No! They were just following orders. They did nothing wrong!"
The leader's fury resonated through space, shaking the entire universe.
"They did nothing wrong?" Wang Yang chuckled. "What about the civilizations you destroyed? What did they do wrong?"
If not for Wang Yang, Earth would have been destroyed. To powerful beings like the Celestials, weakness was the only sin. They didn't care about the innocence of the weak, only whether they should destroy them.
"You dare touch Earth, you touch my reverse scale. Killing them was simply retribution for their actions," Wang Yang said calmly.
"And you, I won't spare you either. I'll send you to join them," Wang Yang continued.
The Celestial leader glared at Wang Yang, imprinting his image into his mind. This human mage had surpassed all his expectations. The previous attack had the power to annihilate him. If it continued, he might indeed be destroyed.
"Fine, then pay the price for your actions!" the Celestial leader declared, emitting a terrifying destructive aura that even made Wang Yang feel a hint of dread. Half the universe seemed to tremble.
"Ding, detected Dark Destruction Affinity. Do you wish to merge?" The system prompt sounded.
"Merging!" Wang Yang responded without hesitation.
A surge of powerful energy merged into Wang Yang, further enhancing his strength. Though he believed he was already strong, this new power was overwhelming.
Wang Yang summoned a dark spear, now more formidable, adorned with complex runes and patterns before he could examine it further, a brilliant light shot towards him, distorting space and time.
Glancing back at the blue Earth, Wang Yang resolved to protect it. He hurled the dark spear, matching the incoming light's speed. The two forces collided in a devastating explosion.
While the previous leader of the Celestials might have withstood the dark spear unscathed, this time, the spear pierced through him, shattering the void.
The Celestial leader struggled, unable to free himself. He had underestimated Wang Yang's magic, which now sealed him, draining his strength.
"What's this magic?" the leader asked, trembling.
"Dark Magic, Dark Spear," Wang Yang replied.
The leader nodded. "Your magic is indeed powerful, formidable to the extreme. Had I known its true strength, I wouldn't have opposed you."
"But if you kill me, you will regret it!" the leader warned, a mysterious smile on his face.
"If I don't kill you, I'll regret it," Wang Yang countered, raising his hand. The dark spear began to glow, emitting a destructive aura.
"No, you will regret this!" the leader shouted. "At our level, we can curse with the laws of the universe, binding you with my soul!"
Despite the encroaching destruction, the leader remained calm. Wang Yang knew of curses, like those in the comics where Deadpool's immortality stemmed from a curse, but he was not afraid.
"Very well, I curse you to be rejected by the universe, unable to use magic!" the leader declared, sacrificing his soul.
As the curse took effect, the Celestial leader began to disintegrate, not from losing vitality but from some mysterious force. Wang Yang watched without fear. With enough power, he could counteract almost anything.
Indeed, he felt rejected from the universe, as if he didn't belong. "Interesting, but what of it?"
With enough strength, even the cosmos' rejection was inconsequential. Moreover, Wang Yang's magic didn't rely solely on the universe's energy. As the curse's force merged with him, it faded, leaving him unaffected.
