Her heart was overwhelmed with joy, tears and laughter mixed as she wiped them away, petulantly saying, "No help!"
"I just modeled for you, letting you practice, so you owe me one," he insisted.
Crystal sniffled and stood up to face him, "That depends on whether I can help with this favor."
"Only you can help," Mason Cooper stepped closer, wiping away her tears as he asked seriously, "Are you willing to take in a man who has lost an arm and could be in danger at any time? For a lifetime."
Crystal stared at him, tears welling up again, "It depends on who the man is."
"The one you see right now," Mason Cooper earnestly volunteered himself.
At that, tears in Crystal's eyes slipped down like pearls off a string, as if a switch had been flipped, unstoppable.
Mason Cooper embraced her, "Silly girl, the bag containing all my identifying documents is still here, what are you panicking about?"
