The monkey and its group of brothers have been very unhappy recently. They were born free, never having faced such setbacks. Especially the monkey, who has been free from the day it was born. Even back then, existences like the Buddha and the Supreme had no way to deal with it. At most, when things grew too chaotic later, combined with some other reasons, it was suppressed for some years. Yet during those years, it was a time when the monkey truly matured. Although there wasn't much advancement in cultivation, it gained a completely new understanding of life and the meaning of living. And this understanding is precisely what a cultivator needs the most.
If it hadn't been for those years of suppression, the monkey's personality wouldn't have stopped to contemplate these questions. Therefore, the monkey has never truly resented the Buddha, always maintaining respect.
