The words "I'm begging you" struck Nan Sichen's heart fiercely. He said nothing.
Qin Yin was so anxious she was on the verge of tears. "Nan Sichen, I'm begging you, help me stop them! I've worked so hard just to find this evidence, I don't want it all to go to waste. I know you've never wanted me to investigate the truth behind my mom's jump all those years ago. I don't know why you don't want me to dig deeper, but now that the truth is in our hands, these two women can finally be brought to justice. Whatever happens, we can deal with it later. Please, help me stop them, alright?"
"Okay." Nan Sichen replied indifferently, then hung up the phone.
Hearing his "okay," Qin Yin knew he had agreed. But with time running so short, even if he was willing, could he manage to stop them? He'd have to get the airport authorities involved, and could any flight really be grounded for one person?
She paced anxiously back and forth in the airport.
