Chapter 432 - Chapter 432. Numbers Galore!

It was early in the morning, the Sun barely lighting up the sky, and dividing it into a beautiful orange-blue sheen. In the , Liu Shu was holding her two children, each of them as hungry as ever, while her Avatar leaned on the smooth and slightly soft walls of the

"After almost two and a half years since the start of the Nexus attack, Flor and the others are finally going to give it a try and mount an offensive against the ."

She had provided a comprehensive map of the tunnels around it, while she used her roots to hunt Terragores that left a certain range beyond the dangerous parts. Thanks to this, the number of Terragores has decreased very slightly over the years. Still, the threat was not over yet. With the new type of that had been growing from Liu Shu's materials, they were on a time schedule. "If they manage to capture the , almost all the objectives will be completed at the same time."

Her gaze moved into the prison rooms that she had built underground. This was a project she had been doing parallel to the . Both structures were already completed and in use.

The Colosseum was built slightly differently than usual. Instead of a large arena, it was a tall building with different floors and multiple arenas. The building was not rectangular, though. It was a hollow cylinder, with the smaller rooms built in the tall parts of the cylinder, while the center had five central arenas. Those arenas were similarly divided into 5, with the central arena being the biggest one of them all and the .

The entire structure took up a giant area, around twenty city blocks. After all, with the central arena being 250 meters in diameter, the medium ones around it being 120 meters, and the small ones 50 meters, the total area it covered was nearly 50 hectares or 0.5 square kilometers.

(AN: 50 hectares = 0.2 square miles = 128 acres = ~100 football fields).

Still, Liu Shu's city was anything but normal at that moment, and fitting a megastructure like that was really easy. Let's examine the true dimensions of Liu Shu's monster city.

The megacity Liu Shu had built had nearly reached 16 kilometers in diameter (10 miles). Turning that into hectares, it would give you around 20,000 hectares. Now, if you considered the distance to , which was around 4,000 meters (2.5 miles) from Liu Shu, and subtracted that area from the overall living space, it left you with around 15,000 hectares of space to build or 145 square kilometers (56 square miles).

One hundred forty-five square kilometers, of which 60% was focused entirely on residential , which totaled 5140 Lignified Tree Houses. Even after that, it still left more than 58 free square kilometers (22.4 square miles) to build whatever! Suppose that, to be generous, around 25% of the overall space would be used in roads and other transportation infrastructures. You still had over 21 square kilometers (8 square miles).

Liu Shu used that space for this type of extra structure. Moreover, Liu Shu had no difficulty creating underground systems and locations, as was the case for the prison system.

Liu Shu, who thought of all of that in her head, chuckled. "Numbers! My city is quite large already… The number of people that can live here, if you used every single apartment, is almost 67 million." She looked at some documents and nodded that the real population was far from that, around 21 million.

Still, that was not a small number. Compared with before the War started, the numbers had gone up exponentially. That was the case due to all the people being displaced by the powerful offensive of the Nexus. Many families, especially those who had some high-level beings in the mix, crossed the and traveled to cities around Liu Shu's large territory.

Of course, once a person approached, they were heavily screened. Liu Shu didn't want her city to be flooded with people who wouldn't follow her rules. Thankfully, the ants had also grown in numbers a lot, and they could deal with the average criminal. When there were doubts about a criminal organization being born, some high officials would notify Liu Shu, who swept the entire city and destroyed those places.

This maintained the crime at an all-time low, with petty crimes like theft being over 99.5% of all crimes. As Liu Shu was scouring the city, she noticed a group of people gathering in a relatively open space in her city. Part of that free space that Liu Shu had left without buildings was reserved for structures like the

"We lack a lot of freedom in this city."

"Right! The World Tree is unlike our previous World Tree. What does she even gain from being such a control freak?"

"We should try to protest or something against her. Create a movement against Tianlian Liu Shu."

Liu Shu didn't even have to do anything, as the second that person spoke, everyone who mentally agreed with them received a notification.

[Ding! You are growing negative feelings and opinions against World Tree Tianlian Liu Shu and are planning on taking action against them.]

[All from World Tree Tianlian Liu Shu will be stripped from you. You'll receive a heavy penalty for the next month as well.]

[All from World Trees under World Tree Tianlian Liu Shu domain won't affect you.]

[All creatures will be able to instinctively tell that you are not affected by said titles.]

[Cooldown until you regain the right to be affected by the titles: (Month, Day, Hour, Minute, Second)]

[12:00:00:00:00]

[11:29:23:59:59]

[11:29:23:59:58]

[11:29:23:59:57]

Liu Shu's Avatar also saw those messages, and her lips arched in an amused chuckle. 'You want to make trouble in my city? How about you stay isolated instead? Hahaha. Silly people, really.'

They thought that this was a place for fairness? That was only applied in the case of those who, in the first place, accepted her as the absolute ruler of the land and didn't break her laws. Liu Shu had studied, or better put, eaten a few books related to megacities, countries, law, and other similar subjects. All these books were recommended to her by Mariane, who had become of the

This library was considered by most experts the place where most knowledge was gathered. With her current , Liu Shu could print around 10 books daily. Moreover, these books were screened through her SSS Rank skill, eliminating most inaccuracies.

Plus, most people, especially those searching for knowledge, never really thought of going against Liu Shu because the was effectively free to use. The entrance fee was there so people would not abuse the place, but the price was so cheap that buying a few groceries would be even more expensive than that: only 200 to get a monthly permit and 5 per day for each book you took.

Remember, even after all this time, one of the apartments was still valued basically the same, being 4,000 per month. A city with Liu Shu's titles would receive no complaints even if the living expenses were ten times what they currently are.

After all this time, Liu Shu's profits for the were around 1,700 per month. Which in was a number a bit too big: 220,000,000,000,000 or 220 trillion. If you added the small tax Liu Shu had imposed on every city in her domain, around 2% of their profits, the numbers went a bit crazy.

Speaking of numbers! Since we are at it, let's see how many berries Liu Shu produced each month after the

: 3,000,000 -> 6,000,000 fruits.

: 1,200,000 -> 3,000,000 fruits.

: 1,200,000 -> 3,000,000 fruits.

: 1,200,000 -> 3,000,000 fruits.

: 1,388 ->1,388 fruits.

: 30,000 -> 50,000 fruits.

: 30,000 -> 50,000 fruits.

: 30,000 -> 50,000 fruits.

: 30,000 -> 50,000 fruits.

: 2,083 -> 3,541 fruits.

: 416 -> 491 fruits.

She didn't produce more of some of the fruits because Liu Shu found them a bit useless for now. Of course, the was anything but worthless. However, not too many people could eat it, hence the slight increase in production. She had over 2,000 of them in reserve, and the numbers were only growing.

To preserve these precious fruits, Sylvans and botanical experts from various races employed the commonly used FPA spell, short for Fruit Preservation Array. This large-scale magic array, enhanced with specialized Runes, was designed to prevent dead organic matter from decaying. Additional anti-pest and anti-oxidation enchantments were added to the area to ensure long-term freshness and protection from the elements.

Liu Shu, who loved playing with all these numbers, was satisfied after checking everything that was relatively important. "City, fruits, people, and profits are covered! Very nice~." She then realized something. "Ah. I was supposed to check on the group that was about to set off for the Terragore Empire!"

She moved over to them and saw Flor standing in front of several hundred thousand beings. "... And for that. For our World Tree, we shall capture the and deal with the threat once and for all!"

"HURRAH!"

"WOO!"

"LONG LIVE LADY FLOR!"

Liu Shu looked at the scene awkwardly. 'I guess she made quite the inspirational speech… I missed it. QAQ!'

Flor smiled and said, quite confident that Liu Shu was paying attention. "Do you have something extra to say, Liu Shu?"

Everyone quickly became silent, expecting something epic from the World Tree. Our Liu Shu almost broke out in a cold sweat despite being a World Tree. She said stiffly. "Fight and return alive. There is nothing to fear."

Then, she stopped. Everyone was silent for a second, making her anxiety soar beyond her canopy, until everyone exploded into cheers and chants for her. Flor nodded and smiled as well, plenty satisfied with it.

Still lost, Liu Shu patted Dewna and Eluan with a half-crying face while each monopolized one of Liu Shu's white and soft mountains for themselves. "Why are they so motivated? I don't understand. QAQ!"

Dewna, who was over two years old, looked up and smiled, milk spilling from the side of her mouth. "Ma!"

Liu Shu's depression flew away when her sweet daughter called her. She rubbed her face with Dewna and giggled. "You are so cute, my pretty sapling~. You can stay in here with Mommy forever!"

"Ma! Ma!" Dewna giggled and hugged Liu Shu's face, rubbing their cheeks together. Dewna liked Liu Shu the most because she was the tastiest of all her mothers. Moreover, the was super cozy and always at the perfect temperature and moisture for plant beings.
