Lian Lanlan's expression changed slightly. She hesitated for a moment before agreeing and getting out of bed to leave.
Lian Manman glanced at Lian Jizu again.
"Jizu, it's getting dark outside. Go with your Aunt Lanlan and give her a hand," Lady Zhou then said to Lian Jizu.
Lian Jizu responded verbally but didn't move his body.
"Brother Jizu, didn't you hear what Grandma said?" Lian Manman addressed Lian Jizu.
Lian Jizu looked around, feeling reluctant, but he had no choice and followed Lian Lanlan outside.
"Grandma, going back to Taicang will be pointless even if you bring more people. We won't be able to help; it will only make things worse and more rigid," Lian Manman finally spoke to Lady Zhou after sending both Lian Lanlan and Lian Jizu out.
Lady Zhou didn't reply and gave Lian Manman a skeptical look.
Lian Manman smiled faintly.
