Peng Fang didn't have to guess; she could tell just from the tightening grip on her arm that Lu Huan was familiar with the people approaching them.
"Let's go." Dai Xingwei, fixing his glasses, seemed particularly interested in his schoolmate Peng Fang, flashing her a smile.
Lu Huan immediately pulled Peng Fang aside and asked quietly, "Who is he?"
"Don't you recognize those two girls?" Peng Fang retorted.
When the trio ascended the steps and saw Mi Wei holding Dai Xingwei's hand, Lu Huan had a sudden realization. This was the man Mi Wei was rumored to be marrying soon.
As the three of them brushed past and entered the cafeteria, Peng Fang gently freed her hand from Lu Huan's tight grip. Lu Huan didn't seem to mind, his gaze lingering at the entrance to the cafeteria.
Poking fun at him, Peng Fang said, "Look at you -- others might think you're pining over an old flame."
"Old flame?" Lu Huan spread his hands, "I have nothing to do with her."
