Kellen got to speak with Gwen on the fourth day. It was normally something that wouldn't be allowed, but Kellen knew that half of it was because of what he had told Rhys, while the other half was because of who she was as a person.
Gwen wasn't the kind of person to rub this treatment in someone else's face. She also appeared to be able to get along with everyone and anyone she spoke to.
It was originally a surprise for Kellen, since he was in a meeting with Sergei, Hill, Brent, Rhys, Miro and Casper about the developments involving the gate. Kellen didn't even think anything of it, since everyone who was on the front lines was in one frame, and everyone else was beside Kellen.
He didn't even register until she walked into frame, all smiles.
"Hey bro!" She called, an infectious, wide grin on her face that had Kellen immediately going from his serious work persona into his more relaxed older brother stance.
