Penny blinked slowly as the elevator doors parted before her. With another nudge behind her, she stepped forward without hesitation.
"There's a car at the end," Shawn instructed. "Go in there."
She didn't answer, but she still listened. Walking past a few parked cars and her own motorbike, Penny caught sight of an unfamiliar black sedan. As they approached it, she noticed someone already seated in the driver's seat. Shawn moved toward the backseat.
"Open it and get in," he said as she lingered by the door.
Penny still didn't respond but reached for the handle. Just as she opened the door, she paused and glanced over her shoulder.
"Shawn," she whispered, "you will regret this—and it won't be me who makes sure of that."
Shawn's jaw tightened, and he pressed the gun into her back. "Go in."
