Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Daily Life-Part 1

With the biggest issues out of the way with Horvath imprisoned, my world travel problem solved, and having access to both a Merlinean and Morganian Magic teacher, all that is left is to study magic and get stronger.

I had plenty of time in this world as I have no reason to be back in my home world of Stardust anytime soon as the next big event isn't for 400 years where with all the magic I will have learned by then, making the witches easy targets.

I will be able to save Ingrid in 400 years and kill the witches, two birds, one stone.

Unless anything crazy happens, it should be relatively easy. Now, back to magic.

(4 years later)

My daily life for the last 4 years has been somehow both monotonous and exciting at the same time.

I spent every second training to get stronger, whether it is learning new magic during the day, meditating all night, teaching Balthazar Wizarding magic, learning magic from Sun Lok, and working on fusing the different magics together.

With all this, I have been pretty busy. At one point I honestly wished that Horvath had still been able to go through with his plan, it might not have been that boring then.

There were a few noteworthy events, one kf the days I had stopped by the lab only to see Dave about to make the mistake he made in the movie with the mops and the whole fantasia reference.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked as I Apparated in.

"Oh, jeez! Come on man, why'd you have to appear put of nowhere like that? You scared the hell out of me." Dave said.

"Sorry not sorry." I replied with a smirk as I looked at Dave in a oart of the Merlin Circle.

"So are you going to answer my question? What the hell are you doing?" I asked.

"Well, Becky is coming by and this place is a mess, so I was going to Enchant the equipment to clean." He admitted as my stare made him nervous just like Balthazar.

According to Dave, Balthazar and I are cut from the same cloth, he calls me a Magic Freak, not as an insult, more like I have an obsession with magic which isn't entirely inaccurate.

I looked around at Dave's lab and then back at him.

*sighs*

"You are not nearly proficient enough to do that, and we're not about to have a fantasia moment." I said with a smirk.

Dave enjoyed the joke, and nodded as he looked at the mops because he knew he planned exactly that.

"So what'd you have in mind?" He asked.

"Just go get ready, I'll take care of it." I said to which he nodded.

"Thank you, thank you so much." He said as he rushed out the room.

It had honestly been bothering me for a while how broken everything was and how dirty, so being able to use some Wizarding magic this way was really fun for me.

I started with my favorite spell.

"Reparo" I said simply for effect as I waved my hand.

I watched in fascination as things started to be fixed. Broken wires were repaired, pieces of broken walls slowly moved back into position as looked just as if they'd never been broken. Light fixtures were repaired, and cracks on floor were also fixed.

By the time the spell had done it's job, the lab looked at least 10 years newer, UT it was still covered in dirt, food, garbage, and apparently dog pee as Tank had just peed.

"Scourgify"

"Tergeo"

I said these two spells as well as the washing up spell and the basic cleaning charm all of which are simple spells and most don't even require a wand to do.

Scourgify eliminates grime, muck and dust with a simple wave of the wand.

Tergeo is a wiping charm, ideal for targeting stubborn grime.

The washing up spell is strictly used for washing dishes and the general cleaning spell will help with sweeping, moping, and other basic cleaning not already taken care of.

After about 20 minutes, the whole place was clean as a whistle and the lab now looked an extra 20 years newer with all the stubborn dirt and grime being taken care of.

A little after I finished my cleaning spree, Dave came out and he was shocked at how clean everything was and he saw that even broken things were repaired.

"It's, it's, amazing. Not only is it loads cleaner, but you even fixed a lot of the broken parts of the lab. Thanks man." Dave said.

"No problem, you gotta make an impression for your lady friend." I said with a smirk.

Dave nodded and rubbed his head sheepishly.

"Well, I know this will sound rude, but when she gets here, do you think you could make yourself scarce?" He asked.

"Don't worry, I'm not upset your kicking me out, you want your privacy. Have fun on your date man." I said as I quickly Apparated out.

That was one instance where I had some fun with magic, but over the 4 Yeats I hadn't been idle at all.

I can cast every Wizarding combat spell I'd learned before wandlessly and silently and I have learned more combat spells that I am close to being able to cast silently.

I learned some of my favorite Sorcery spells which include the Hungarian Mirror Trap Spell that Balthazar used against Horvath in the original story, the Persian Quick Rug, and the spell to bring pictures to life.

I did wonder if that last spell would enable me to bring the portraits to life in Hogwarts, but I don't think so.

I also was able to improve the Vacume Sphere spell by making it so I could absorb larger amounts of fire and dissipate them in the sphere.

I had even created a few fusion spells.

I had combined everything I knew about fire magic from both disciplines, Wizard fire making spell, Sorcerer fire creation spell, Fiendfyre, and Sun Lok's fire magic that he excelled in.

This combination came together to form the Fire Dragon Spell.

Why would I choose the form of a dragon? Three reasons.

One, dragons are always considered the most powerful creatures in almost every world where they exist, they can fly so I can manipulate the fire dragons through the air, and because I needed a spell that would affect an area rather than a singular target.

I had also learned a signature spell of Sun Lok.

(Flashback 2 years ago)

"Okay so I guess we can start with the very spell you saw me use against you, the Dragon Transformation spell." Sun Lok said as he watched my reaction.

Sun Lok had noticed some things throughout the time he'd been teaching his magic, the young man didn't care about good, evil, he just wanted to learn magic. This pure love of magic is something I've not seen in a long time and I haven't felt the simple joy of learning magic in years.

He didn't expect this. He didn't expect to find his passion for magic reignited. The last couple hundred years had been battle after battle, Merlineans vs Morganians, good vs evil. To feel what it was like to be free of that constant struggle was honestly nice. It had gotten to a point where he didn't even remember why he was working with Morgana.

What did he get for his allegiance? More pain? More suffering?

Being trapped for hundreds of years in the Grimhold. Sun Lok had just felt that he had a lot to work through.
