The sun was blazing high in the sky as Blue lounged in a chair on the deck of the ship, enjoying the warmth. The gentle sound of the waves lapping against the hull filled the air. Blue lazily glanced over at Pluto, who was standing at the edge of the deck, staring out at the endless sea.
"By the way, Pluto, why aren't your sea beasts attacking?" Blue asked with a laugh, a teasing edge in his voice.
Pluto didn't turn around, his gaze still fixed on the horizon. "Because the ship is hovering on the water, you dumb idiot," he replied calmly.
Blue's eyes narrowed, and he sat up in his chair. "Why don't you come over here and say it to my face?"
Pluto smirked and turned around, starting to walk toward Blue. "With pleasure." He stopped right in front of Blue, looked him in the eye, and said, "Idiot."
Before Pluto could react, Blue's fist flew out, catching him square on the jaw. Pluto staggered back, but quickly recovered and swung back at Blue. The two began to exchange blows, neither willing to back down.
From the steering wheel, Morin, who was navigating the ship, glanced back at the commotion. "Quiet down, you two! It hasn't even been that long, and here you are fighting."
Blue, dodging a punch from Pluto, shot back, "Stay out of it, you hairy baboon!"
Suddenly, the cabin door swung open, and Rim emerged with a triumphant grin on his face. "Yes, I finally did it!"
Both Blue and Pluto stopped mid-fight, turning to look at Rim. Blue, still holding Pluto by the collar, asked, "What did you do?"
"I managed to fix her!" Rim announced proudly.
Pluto let go of Blue and walked over to Rim. "You managed to fix her? How?"
Rim shrugged modestly. "Well, it was easy because her nanobots were doing most of the work."
"When will she wake up?" Pluto asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
Rim shook his head. "I don't know. It could be anytime, or it might take longer."
Just then, Morin's voice cut through the conversation. "Hey, guys, we have company up ahead!"
The group turned their attention to the horizon, where a ship was rapidly approaching. Blue squinted at the vessel. "Are they friends?"
Morin, still focused on steering, replied, "At sea, no one has friends."
The tension on the deck thickened as the mysterious ship drew closer. The chapter ends here, with the crew bracing themselves for whatever was to come.
