It was located in the heart of the Alcyon Empire—in the capital city of Celestria. The towering spires of its towers pierced even through morning mist, and its crest—a radiant lotus—was known to every child since birth. Yet its fame came not from prestige or high tuition. What truly made Luminar legendary was its alumni.
Everyone who wished to claim the title of Guardian in our family was required to pass through the academy. That rule had remained unbroken for centuries. In my past life, it was one of the reasons—albeit not the main—that I never sought the position.
