Zachariah's Point Of View
No sooner than I had opened my mouth to firmly decline Shaihffer's request, the second elevator let out a chime, and Chazmen stepped out beaming a sly grin like a fox in a henhouse.
"Ugh... Fuck my life..." I grumbled softly under my breath.
"Brother! What a welcomed surprise. I thought you said you had pressing matters to attend to and would not be able to meet with us today, no?" Chazmen said, embracing Shaihffer in a tight hug.
"Well, I did my best to show up anyway. Though, it appears that I've missed it entirely..." Shaihffer replied.
He looked a little despondent while he spoke, but his voice was laced with venom.
"Yes. Though it is unfortunate, I have pressing matters to attend to back home. So, if you gentlemen will excuse me, I'll be on my way." I said, using the current direction of the conversation to make my exit.
