Chapter 355 - Kakarot

Zuke was currently in Bardock's home—despite being a member of the technologically advanced Frieza Force, the Saiyan's dwelling had a simple, rustic feel to it.

This blend of advanced technology and retro style had always been Akira Toriyama's interest, and although Zuke couldn't recall it clearly, Bardock's house did resemble the one depicted in

Dragon Ball Minus

In what appeared to be a bedroom, Zuke noticed the incubator behind Bardock.

This was a special device used by the Saiyans to nurture infants. Newborn Saiyan babies were placed inside the incubator, where they were bathed in a special nutrient solution that accelerated their growth and development.

Inside the incubator was a baby who had already grown to a noticeable size—or perhaps "baby" wasn't the right term, as the child clearly looked over a year old.

Though still small, the child's hair had already grown out, faintly resembling Bardock's hairstyle. In a few more months, it would likely look just like Bardock's.

"Is this your child?"

Zuke walked up to the incubator and looked at the child inside—he knew exactly who this was.

The undisputed protagonist of the Dragon Ball series, known as Kakarot among the Saiyans and Son Goku among the Earthlings.

According to the original storyline, Kakarot would remain in the incubator for about three years before being sent away by Bardock shortly before Frieza destroyed the Saiyans and Planet Vegeta.

At that time, Bardock had a vague premonition that Frieza was planning to move against the Saiyans. Unable to leave himself, he could only send his infant son away.

Contrary to what Raditz later claimed—that "low-class warriors are only fit to be sent to frontier planets for missions"—Kakarot was not sent to Earth as a low-class Saiyan warrior to carry out a mission.

Kakarot left Planet Vegeta carrying the hopes of Bardock and his wife, Gine. Being sent to Earth, a frontier planet, was merely an excuse.

This "mission" wasn't even recorded in the Frieza Force's archives, which is why the Frieza Force remained unaware that a Saiyan still lived on a distant frontier planet.

"Yes, his name is Kakarot."

Bardock walked over and stood beside Zuke, looking at Kakarot in the incubator with a hint of tenderness in his eyes.

The Saiyan living environment wasn't ideal. Harsh training and work conditions often made Saiyans indifferent to familial bonds.

For example, when Raditz first appeared in the original series, he showed no mercy toward Kakarot. Vegeta also spoke of his father with little respect, and even his tears were more about pride in the Saiyan race than personal grief.

However, Bardock was clearly an exception. He was one of the few Saiyans raised in such an environment who still valued family—his wife, Gine, was the same.

If not for this, Kakarot likely wouldn't have been sent away just before Frieza annihilated the Saiyans, and the story of *Dragon Ball* might never have begun.

"He also has an older brother named Raditz, who is currently serving alongside the son of King Vegeta."

When speaking of his family, Bardock's tone carried a hint of pride—though Kakarot's combat power wasn't particularly high, Raditz had shown promising potential.

"Raditz was recognized as having the potential of an elite warrior, so he's been assigned to work with King Vegeta's son... Should I call him back?"

"No need."

Zuke shook his head. Raditz was still just a child and wouldn't be of much help even if called back. It was better to let him continue working with Vegeta.

As for whether to spare Vegeta after dealing with King Vegeta, Zuke had already made up his mind—there was no reason not to keep him.

Vegeta had never been particularly attached to his father, and his character development in the later parts of the original series proved that his abrasive personality wasn't beyond redemption.

The current Vegeta was still just a child. With proper guidance, he could grow into a formidable warrior—after all, his potential had been fully realized in the original series.

As long as Vegeta had a goal to surpass, his potential would continue to explode. Even the Super Saiyan form could be achieved through sheer training.

In the original series, Vegeta's goal was to surpass Kakarot. Now, Zuke could take on that role—after all, as long as it was a Saiyan, Vegeta wasn't picky.

As for Raditz... having the potential of an elite warrior meant that with proper training, he could become a decent fighter.

However, in the original series, he neglected his training and degenerated into a low-class warrior.

Once Zuke took control of the Saiyans, it wouldn't be out of the question to subject Raditz to rigorous training—perhaps his lack of discipline in the original series was due to growing up without a father figure.

This time, Zuke planned to ensure Bardock survived, which might significantly alter Raditz's future.

"And... these guys should also come in handy."

Zuke summoned "Black Bird Requiem" and, with a wave of his hand, tossed several corpses out of the shadows, letting them fall unceremoniously to the ground.

Bardock took a closer look and realized the corpses were those of the Ginyu Force—their faces were unmistakable to the Saiyans.

After all, as elite members of the Frieza Force, they had repeatedly mocked the Saiyans, earning the hatred of many. In the original series, Jeice even said, "There's no way a Saiyan could reach that level of power," showcasing the Ginyu Force's disdain for the Saiyans.

"Although you mentioned taking down the Ginyu Force the other day, seeing it in person is still shocking... How on earth did you become so strong?"

Bardock crouched down and spread out the Ginyu Force's corpses, confirming their identities.

His face showed a mix of surprise and delight—having these corpses would make it much easier to intimidate the other Saiyans into abandoning their loyalty to King Vegeta.

However, after inspecting the bodies, Bardock grew curious:

"Why are there only four corpses? Where's Guldo from the Ginyu Force? Why is his body missing?"

Of course, it had been consumed by "Black Bird Requiem."

Naturally, Zuke wasn't about to reveal his ability to consume others' bodies to gain their powers, so he simply said:

"That guy was too weak. I accidentally destroyed his body—it shouldn't make much of a difference, right?"

Author Notes: Apologies, it seems I stepped into a rather toxic pit. I will revise it immediately. I'm truly sorry.

The parallel world's Magical Girl Illya was indeed intended to set up future plot points for the protagonist, but it seems my writing was too blunt, making it hard for readers to accept. This is my fault, and I will revise the chapter immediately. I sincerely apologize.

The revised content will roughly be: "Due to Zuke's actions in Fate/Zero, the parallel world's Kiritsugu Emiya was also affected and disappeared from the world of Magical Girl Illya. In this world, Illya lives alone with Irisviel, and her calling Zuke 'father' is a result of the Holy Grail system granting her 'modern societal status' during the Servant summoning. Thus, with Irisviel as her mother, she naturally assumed Zuke was her father."
