Sero looked back, staring right into the eyes of Ellie, the person he has been looking for after all this time (damn, that's how he meets her? That's nuts). He didn't take his eyes off of her, not believing that this was real. After all, he was just in an unknown hallway, and the second he entered this random room, he found her. In addition, Ellie did not look like she aged in any way, as she looked exactly like she did when he lost her (why do I have the feeling that is this heading towards romance?).
However, that begged the question of what had happened, as she did not seemed to be cursed with the torture that Sero has been enduring for however long. As Sero was lost in thought, he suddenly felt himself getting embraced by someone. As he looked, he saw Ellie crying as she hugged him (romantic music plays, bahahahaha).
"I thouht yu wre dead," Ellie barely made out, still sobbing (I think that says "I thought you were dead" or something like that).
"Woah, woah, woah. Let's first help you settle down," Sero said, still shocked at what he was witnessing.
After leading her to what seems to be her bed and comforting her, Ellie finally sort of calmed down. Afterwards, Sero asked Ellie, "So, what happened?"
Ellie responded, still teary eyed, "I don't really know. I was following Domfan until I heard a loud boom and found myself in this room. Then a couple of those weird battle angels from the attack came and told me to wait here."
"Nothing else happened after?" Sero questioned.
"No, nothing else happened," she confirmed.
Suddenly, she hugged him again. "I was so worried about you all! I kept wondering where you guys were and wishing that you all were alright! But where are the others?"
Sero did not know what to say, or how to explain that three of their friends were dead (this is about to get crazy). He finally said, "Umm Ellie. I don't know how to tell you this, but here I go. Alegriso, Amayako, and Fragmo is, no longer with us."
"Umm, what does that mean? Did they leave the party or something?" Ellie asked with an innocent look in her eyes.
"It means that…" Sero started to say. "It means that they are dead, Ellie."
The truth slowly started to creep into Ellie's brain.
"No, you got to be joking right?" Ellie started to say as the truth finally dawned on her. "You have to be lying, right? There's no way that they died! It's only been a couple of minutes!"
"Wait, what?" Sero suddenly exclaimed (what the frick? Only a couple of minutes? Maybe for the reader, but definitely not him). "What do you mean a couple of minutes?"
"This can't be true," Ellie kept rambling on. "There is no way that they are dead."
Suddenly, Ellie collapsed onto the bed, startling Sero again.
"Ellie, are you good?" Sero asked, slowly looking closer at her. It seemed as if she had fainted from the shock of realizing that 3 of her friends were dead. However, that still lead to the question of what she meant by only a couple of minutes. After all, even Sero wasn't sure how much time had passed after being stuck in that hellhole.
As Sero was pondering this, he suddenly heard the doors of the room unlocking. He quickly hid underneath the bed, which was the closest hiding spot from where he was (bro didn't even care about her. He just hid XD)
Sero heard a whole bunch of footsteps approaching where he was hiding, as there was one of those royalty beds with extremely long sheets that went all the way down to the floor so you would not know that someone was hiding there. He also heard some chatting amongst the approaching people.
"She is the leader's daughter, right? Hopefully we didn't mistake her," one of them said (wait what?)
"Yeah, the leader did confirm it after all," another replied.
"Oh look, she's fast asleep," a different voice commented.
"Doesn't she look so defenseless when she's sleeping?" another one commented (woah woah woah, now that's just weird).
"Shh, don't let the leader know you said that. Anyone who dares to touch her will suffer, you know that, right?" the first voice hastily uttered.
"Why does she seem that she just recently cried? Look at how red her eyes are," the second voice suddenly pointed out.
"Probably was crying due to her being separated from those humans. After all, she did spend quite a while with them, even if it may not seem like it," the first speculated.
As the mysterious people were talking to themselves, Sero was busy trying to figure out what in the world what he just heard. First of all, a leader's daughter? Sero did not know that as they both lived under the same roof when they were kids, as his parents took her in since she seemed to have nowhere to go (wait, why are we getting this lore drop now??? The author must be horrible at organizing things). They were friends, however he realized that he did not know much about where she had come from. He just inferred that she had come from normal parents but they just abandoned her. He did not expect for her to be the daughter of a leader, especially one who lives in a home with a room as big and fancy as this. Second of all, what did that person mean by "those humans"? It seems as if they were talking as if they were of a higher species than them.
As Sero was thinking about all of this, he suddenly felt immense pressure in the room. The mysterious people seemed to have noticed this, as they suddenly became silent. He then heard them running away as the pressure became greater. It was as if his body was getting crushed by a boulder. Suddenly, the pressure released, freeing Sero from the pain of having to breathe silently to stay hidden. As Sero quietly regained his breath, he felt as if there was another figure in front of the bed now.
He suddenly heard a deep voice, whispering, "At last, I have found you, my sweet little angel."
