Chapter 173 - Chapter 173 A Rampage.

Before Andrew could even leave the command center, there were two squads of battle droids waiting outside.

One of which was there to guard the place as a critical area, while the other one was a squad that would be guarding him.

-Nairin, where is the nearest breech?

Andrew asked over the comms.

-The nearest one is at dock number 4, the next one is at the fighter production module, and there is another near the medical module.

She gave him the three nearest positions.

The human didn't even wait till she finished speaking and moved to dock 4.

When he arrived, he saw a heated exchange between the invading aliens and the combat droids.

-The enemy is wearing armor with personal shields.

He said, observing some of the droids energy weapons fire being deflected.

However, the moment a droid equipped with an MP-5 retrieved from Earth opened fire, two of the enemies went down.

Their shields didn't even activate.

Seeing this, Andrew raised his P-90, targeted the enemy who was engaging another droid, and pulled the trigger.

A series of three bullets tore through the air before hitting the alien in the center mass, sending him down to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

-Enemy shields are set solely for the energy weapons.

He said over the comms while eliminating another alien.

The human was using a silencer on his weapon, so the enemy had no idea what was going on, as they fell one after the other.

Soon, another unit of battle droids arrived, equipped with Earth's weapons.

As soon as they joined the battle, the enemy troops started getting eliminated left and right.

Despite that, they were still pressing on, like they didn't care about their lives.

The battle lasted another twenty minutes and ended when the last enemy fell to the hail of bullets.

All together, there were fifty enemies in this one ship.

Andrew sent some droids to secure the vessel and left some more to guard the area while taking the rest and moving to the next breach.

As the battle progressed, there were more and more breaches popping up, and no one could figure out how the enemy was doing it.

They not only bypassed the sensors but even shields, without any problem.

-The tide has turned, once Andrew discovered the weakness of enemy shields, as their armor turned out to be some kind of ceramic composite, also designed to protect the wearer against the energy weapons while having little resistance to the kinetic ones.

So once the droids got equipped with firearms, the enemy troops started taking massive casualties.

To Andrew's surprise, it was not just one species of alien that was attacking his station, but multiple different species.

It wasn't unusual for Andrew, as many others also had mixed crews.

But it was a surprise because the forces from the previous wave were all single-species, or at least the ones his fleet managed to take down.

-Andrew, there is a new breach near the Med-bay, the droids are on their way, but it's uncertain if the guards can hold on until they arrive.

Sarill's voice announced while Andrew was looking over one of the dead enemies.

Hearing that, he didn't even answer and just sprinted away in the direction of the Med-bay.

The moment he arrived, he saw all the droids and drones guarding the Med-bay destroyed, and an enemy silhouette entering the compartment.

Rushing over, he arrived inside just in time to see Iliana being shot from behind as she was beating up one of the assailants.

Upon seeing this, a wave of pure rage surged through him, sweeping aside any other thought and emotion.

He roared like a wounded animal and charged at the enemy, tearing into them with reckless abandon.

Unable to open fire as there were still some patients in the regeneration tanks, he used his trusty bayonet and his whole body to tear his enemies to pieces, in a few cases literally.

The sounds of breaking bones, tearing flesh, and screams of pain filled the compartment as the furious human simply slaughtered anyone in his way, with the one who shot the doctor being ripped limb from limb in the most literal way you can imagine.

As soon as he was done with over twenty enemies that entered the Med-bay, he checked Iliana, discovering she was still alive.

Without losing a second, he placed her in the regeneration tank and activated the device.

Her vital signs were weak, but the tank stabilized her soon enough.

-Where is the nearest enemy?

Andrew asked, his voice filled with rage and pain.

The ladies saw what he did to the enemy after Iliana got hurt, and were beyond terrified at the moment.

They all knew, that it was not the best idea to piss of a human, but till now they had no idea just how deadly the man they all loved, could be when one of them was in danger.

-Generator number 5, they seem to want to turn off the power, but the droids are keeping them at bay.

Nairin answered, more of a reflex than anything else, as she was also stunned after seeing the carnage in the Med-bay.

Andrew didn't respond and simply rushed in the direction of the enemy, leaving the area to the combat droids that had just arrived.

-Vulcan, activate Terminator protocol in all droids except for the ones guarding critical areas.

The human said coldly.

At the beginning, he wanted to get some prisoners, but they dared to hurt his woman, and now they would pay.

For the next three hours, Andrew moved from one breach to another, eliminating any enemy he encountered.

Shooting, stabbing, breaking necks, and breaking spines, sometimes ripping them apart or gutting them.

Any enemy unfortunate enough to cross his path, ended up dead, and they were lucky if he just shot them or slit their throat, before moving to the next target, otherwise they died in enormous pain and agony.

One of the enemies, after witnessing his whole squad being massacred, turned tail and ran back to the ship, trying to escape, but he never got the chance as the fire from a dozen droids turned him into Swiss cheese.

During Andrew's rampage, Aelita took command of the territory, and whenever anyone asked where he was, she simply sent them the footage.

It was more than enough to stop anyone from fussing about anything, especially after she explained that one of their sisters was heavily injured by the enemy, which was the reason for his actions.

To her surprise, this didn't cause anyone to fear the human, but they all respected him even more.

In their eyes, this was a demonstration of how much he cared for his own, and it was also a statement that any attack on his people would be met with a brutal and cruel response.

-This is someone worth serving under.

One of the system masters who managed to fend off the attack on his system stated, after seeing the footage.

-If he is doing all of this just because one of his own was injured, then imagine what he would do if one were killed.

He continued.

-I'm not sure I want to even imagine that.

A female system master said and shuddered at the mere mention of what she had just seen.

The brutality of the footage terrified her, but it also made her curious about a being that was capable of such destruction to avenge someone who was not even from the same species.

The main reason most of the system masters called was to thank them for their help and ask if they needed reinforcements.

Moreover, everyone wanted to have a relay in their system to gain more sensor range and make the communication easier.

Aelita agreed to deliver some to them, but they would have to wait till after the portal in their system closed.

This was a decision made after she consulted with Tarina, and it had much bigger implications than Cherin ever could have imagined.

While Andrew was rampaging through the enemies and Aelita talked with other territories' leaders.

The battle at the portal was still raging on, if you could even call it a battle, since any ship that entered the system was immediately ripped apart.

During this time, the portals in the other systems started shutting down one after the other, signaling the end of the attack for now.

However, now they all had a bigger problem, as there were many enemy fleets around, and all of them were way more powerful than the previous ones, making everyone worried about the possibility of even surviving an attack from them.

As if this was not bad enough, there was a possibility of the portals opening back again at any moment, so no one dared to let their guard down and started preparing for another battle as best as they could.

Soon enough, the only system that was still under attack from a portal was Andrew's system.

Not that the enemy was gaining any territory or could even spread out from the portal, as the moment they arrived, they were either blasted into oblivion or simply crushed into the wreckage, which had a similar effect.

However, despite mounting losses, the enemy seemed determined to take over the system.

-I think they are waiting for their boarding teams to capture the shipyard.

Runir said, once Aelita asked her about it, since it didn't make sense for anyone to continue an attack even after losing over ten thousand ships already.

-Well, that's not happening any time soon.

Aelita shook her head while looking at the display from the camera, showing Andrew tearing through another boarding party.

-Think about it this way.

Runir's voice sounded again.

-The more of them we kill now, the less we will have to deal with later.

She grinned.

-I admire your optimism, but do try to remember that the enemy has a galaxy of a few of them at their disposal, and after what we witnessed with the Kinokians, it's safe to say that they don't care about losing a few thousand ships.

Arien chimed in on the conversation.

-They might not care about the ships, but what about the crews?

Runir asked.

-The way I see it, these ships are fully crewed, so they are losing tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of their people.

-And still they are sending more, so we can safely assume that they don't care about their crews any more than their ships.

Nairin joined the conversation.

-Whether they care or not, there has to be a limit to the number of people and ships they can send without compromising the safety of their territory.

Aelita said.

-Whatever the case, until they send a battleship or a dreadnought, they are not getting through.

Runir said confidently, knowing full well that the enemy could not send such heavy ships, and even if they did send one, the shipyard's defenses, added with the fleet and system defenses, were more than a match for it.
