Chapter 334 - Chapter 334: Angel

Yamiru swiftly detoxified Namek and immediately moved on to treat the remaining Earthlings without pause.

Though these individuals weren't as strong as Namek or Yamoshi, their survival wasn't just a matter of raw power. In the Dragon Ball world, higher combat prowess didn't necessarily equate to greater poison resistance—while experts had sturdier physiques, in an environment saturated with such potent toxins, the difference was negligible. Additionally, the weaker fighters had exerted themselves less, slowing the poison's spread compared to Yamoshi and Namek… Thus, most had held on long enough for Yamiru to arrive.

Practice makes perfect. The remaining Earthlings, guided by each other, formed a chain by placing hands on shoulders, with the first linking hands with Yamiru.

The one at the front was a boar-headed Earthling, his skin already tinged the deep red of cured ham from the toxins. Yet he grinned foolishly at Yamiru, who couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. Funny how my life keeps crossing paths with pig-men. His first friend in this world had been a boar-headed warrior, and that very friend had later saved him from Tao Pai Pai and Master Shen…

As Yamiru used the golden dragon mark to purify the toxins, Namek darted around the group, fending off the dwindling but persistent demonic foot soldiers.

The golden dragon slithered through the human chain before returning to Yamiru's wrist, letting out a satisfied burp before vanishing.

Yamiru stepped back just as Namek completed his round, seamlessly taking over the protective role—still clad in his draconic form—while Namek faced the wounded boar-man.

Inspired by Yamiru's "batch detox" method, Namek wondered: 'Could I heal everyone simultaneously too?'

After all, if these people were physically connected, treating them as a single organism might just work…

"Whoa! Namek, you can heal this many people at once now?!"

Yamoshi's sudden exclamation startled him. He'd been so focused—eyes closed, channeling his innate power—that he hadn't sensed her approach. Opening his eyes, he saw the boar-man and the entire chain of Earthlings behind him completely healed.

A smile tugged at Namek's lips. "I tried copying Yamiru. Didn't expect it to actually work…"

Turning, he froze. 'Yamoshi wasn't alone.'

His stomach dropped. The moment Yamoshi spoke, he'd left his hyper-focused state and could clearly sense her familiar energy—and only hers. Yet now, standing right behind her was someone else! Even more unnerving, no matter how intently he stared, he detected zero energy from the silver-haired woman.

It was as if she wasn't there at all.

'Even when Yamiru suppresses his energy, I can still feel a faint presence at this distance!' Namek's mind reeled. 'We can lower our energy, but erasing it completely is impossible unless we die! This person… how?!'

The woman chuckled softly, clapping in approval. "Remarkable talent! Even among the dragon race, you're exceptional."

'Dragon race?' Namek blurted, "You know about us?"

Yamiru landed nearby, eyeing the trio—Namek, Yamoshi, and the silver-haired woman—with curiosity. Her features bore an uncanny resemblance to the angel Vados.

"How'd they get out so fast…?" Mr. Popo murmured nearby, visibly puzzled. Had they flown out violently, their energy would've been detectable. Yet neither he, Yamiru, nor Namek had sensed anything.

Yamiru caught the comment. 'If that's the case, Yamoshi must've been teleported out by this angel-like woman.' Which meant…

"Is it strange to know about the dragon race?" The woman smiled. "You're not the only ones in this universe. Though, admittedly, your kind didn't exist here before…"

Namek opened his mouth but said nothing. Her words contradicted—first claiming he wasn't alone, then stating his race hadn't existed here previously. What did that mean?

Only Yamiru's mind raced ahead, piecing together the implications.

'She's definitely an angel.'

And she's from another universe.

'She said Annin is her disciple!' Yamoshi finally found a chance to interject. She turned curiously to the silver-haired woman. 'Just now, she teleported me out of the dungeon in an instant, just like Mr. Popo! So cool!'

'Instant Transmission?'

"Annin's master?"

Namek and Mr. Popo reacted in surprise.

The silver-haired woman, smiling faintly, glanced at Namek and Mr. Popo before finally settling her gaze on Yamiru. She first gave his demonic dragon form a look of mild distaste, then asked, "You seem to be the only one not surprised or curious?"

"Because I'm still too busy being shocked by the fact that I can't sense your Ki at all," Yamiru replied calmly. Years of training had honed his composure, and having met both the Dragon God and the Heavenly God in person, he wasn't easily rattled—even by an angel.

The woman chuckled lightly but didn't explain why she had no Ki. Instead, she said, "I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Sherie. Currently... I am Annin's master."

Sherie...

Yamiru suddenly recalled Annin's words from earlier in the dungeon—

Back then, when he had entered the Furnace of Eight Divisions and marveled at how she could still be alive despite such severe poisoning, Annin had replied something like:

"It's not me who's impressive—it's this furnace my master gave me... Third time using it, and it's still as amazing as ever. But this time... seems like it won't be enough. Guess I'll need a fourth..."

So, the Supreme Elderly Lord Annin really did have a master—and that master was an angel?

Even the Furnace of Eight Divisions was a gift from her?

"Third time using it", "still as amazing as ever"—what did Annin's cryptic words mean?

At the time, Yamiru hadn't paid much attention, but now, the furnace and this angelic master of Annin's seemed... suspicious. Considering the relationship between angels and the Celestial Realm, the Celestial Realm and the Underworld, and the Underworld's connection to this demonic Ki...

Yamiru felt the oppressive weight of the underworld's dark clouds blanketing Earth's surface, and a thought struck him:

Could this very angel be responsible for Earth's demonic history?
