"Peter's mindset is so easy to read. He's still just a kid. He even got scared by that guy and completely forgot he's Spider-Man!"
Rhodey shook his head as he watched Spider-Man's awkward interrogation attempt.
"Hahaha! Yeah! He's trying way too hard!" Banner laughed, nodding in agreement.
Tony, looking slightly disappointed, sighed. "Oh, come on! He's actually worried about whether he sounds like a man or a woman? That interrogation was a complete failure."
"The so-called enhanced interrogation mode doesn't seem all that effective," Rhodey smirked at Tony.
"Hey! This mode wasn't designed for him in the first place, was it?" Tony rolled his eyes, though he had to admit—it was a total disaster. Maybe it was time for an upgrade.
George Stacy covered his face, unable to watch any longer. "That guy didn't even say anything, yet Peter III blurted out that he lives in Queens!"
Hearing her father's comment, the second-generation Gwen chimed in, "And then the guy confirmed it by mentioning a second shop nearby. That basically proves the third-gen Peter lives close by!"
2nd Gen Spider-Man felt a little embarrassed. Since this was a Peter Parker from another universe, anything he did would reflect on him—just like how his own actions were often compared to 1st Gen Spider-Man.
[Just when Spider-Man thought the operation was a complete bust, Aaron Davis suddenly said, "That night, you told that guy, 'If you're going to shoot, shoot me.' That was pretty gutsy."]
["I don't want those weapons around here either. My nephew lives nearby." Hearing Aaron Davis's words snapped Spider-Man out of his disappointment.]
["Who are they? What do you know about that guy with wings?"]
[Aaron Davis didn't know much. "All I know is he's a nutjob who dresses like a demon. That's it. No idea who he is or where he lives."]
[Spider-Man sighed, leaning against the car in frustration. But then Aaron stroked his chin thoughtfully and said, "But I do know where he's headed next!"]
["Really?" Spider-Man's eyes widened, and the white lenses on his mask adjusted to match his excitement.]
["Yeah! Some crazy guy I worked with before—he's supposed to be making a deal with him."]
["Hey! That's great!" Overjoyed, Spider-Man turned to leave immediately.]
[Aaron Davis watched him go and quickly shouted, "Hey, hey, hey! Hold up! I haven't even told you where yet!"]
[Spider-Man skidded to a stop, realizing his mistake. "Oh! Right! That was dumb. My bad."]
[He hurried back and leaned against the car expectantly. "Okay, okay! Where is he?"]
[Aaron gave him a deadpan look. "Can I give you some advice first?"]
["Huh?" Spider-Man tilted his head, confused.]
["You really need to learn how to interrogate people."]
[Spider-Man crossed his arms, pretending to be tough. "I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm super intimidating!"]
[Aaron didn't even dignify that with a response and just gave him the answer. "Staten Island Ferry. 11 o'clock."]
[Spider-Man immediately checked the time and panicked. "Oh, man! It's almost time! And that stuff on your hand—it dissolves in two hours!"]
[He pointed at the webbing sticking Aaron's palm to the trunk, then turned to leave.]
[Aaron's eyes widened in alarm. "Nononono! Hey! Come back and get this off me!"]
[Spider-Man backed away, pointing at him teasingly. "Two hours. That's your punishment!"]
["I've got ice cream in here!" Aaron Davis groaned, frustrated.]
["Well, you are a criminal. Actions have consequences. Enjoy your melted ice cream, Mr. Criminal!" Spider-Man waved and swung away.]
"Ugh! He looks so dumb! At least he didn't get completely played," Otto Octavius sighed. It was frustrating to watch, but at least Spider-Man hadn't entirely let Aaron Davis go. While a little personal payback was mixed in, he finally took some control.
Compared to 1st Gen Spider-Man, though, this kid was still way too inexperienced. He really needed to learn some things the hard way.
Rosa's attention was on something else. "Such a shame… that ice cream is gonna melt!"
Otto gave her a speechless look, not sure how to respond.
1st Gen Spider-Man chuckled as he suddenly had an idea—maybe he should take Gwen out for ice cream later.
[Spider-Man swung through the city toward the docks. By the time he arrived, the ferry was already pulling out of port. He tried to speed up and, at the last second, managed to latch onto it using his web, gliding over the water and landing on the ship's exterior.]
[Carefully, he climbed up the side and peeked through a window, spotting Herman inside. "Okay, listen, Karen. Activate advanced recon mode!"]
["No problem!" Karen's voice chirped as Spider-Man's mask interface adjusted, immediately enhancing his ability to hear conversations on board.]
[Vulture and Herman sat across from each other. "He's up front, on the main deck," one of them muttered.]
[Hearing this, Herman grumbled, "I hate that guy."]
[Spider-Man recognized Herman instantly, but the other guy? He had no clue. "Karen, that guy under the bridge the other night… who's the other one?"]
[Karen quickly ran a database search. "No matches found in the criminal records."]
[Just then, a notification popped up. "Incoming call from May Parker! Would you like to answer?"]
["Not now! Call her back later!" Spider-Man whispered, quickly dismissing the alert.]
[He stayed low by the window, watching as Herman prepared for the trade. "Hey, drone, tail that guy! We cannot let them get away this time!"]
[Spider-Man climbed up to the ferry's top deck, crouching silently above their heads, observing the transaction unfold below.]
["Karen, who's the guy on the left?"]
[Karen scanned his face and immediately pulled up a profile. "That's Mac Gargan, a.k.a. Scorpion. Multiple criminal offenses, including murder."]
[Karen then suggested, "Would you like me to activate instant-kill mode?"]
[Spider-Man nearly facepalmed. "NO! Karen! Stop suggesting instant-kill mode!"]
