Two spectators who had been sitting side by side stared in horror as a thin crack now divided the bench between them.
"Thank goodness we weren't too close," one muttered, gulping hard.
Instructor Elric narrowed his eyes and immediately reacted, conjuring a massive magical barrier — a glowing sphere of pale blue mana that wrapped around the entire battlefield. The barrier shimmered and pulsed, growing in intensity to protect the audience.
