Chapter 27 - ch-27

The next day, Tom's education began to show results.

The three people woke up earlier than him, but they were quiet and didn't make any sound, for fear of waking Tom up again.

After breakfast, the Slytherin students and Ravenclaw came to the Charms classroom together.

Professor Flitwick has elf blood and is short in stature, but he is a very skilled spellcaster and is said to have won the duel championship when he was young.

Tom strongly suspected that it was because of his small size that he was more agile and difficult for spells to hit him, so he had a great advantage.

However, Professor Flitwick's teaching level is beyond reproach.

In the first class, he did not teach students specific spells, but instead talked about and demonstrated the various applications of spells in life.

The students were fascinated by the various magic tricks, and only after their enthusiasm was fully aroused did Professor Flitwick begin to explain the basics.

Including the correct way to hold the magic wand, the standard movements referred to by various adjectives, and some tips on exerting force.

After one class, Tom earned twenty credits, but unfortunately they were all based on knowledge or acquisition, rather than on the bonus points from the college.

And in the afternoon, it was the Defense Against the Dark Arts class that all freshmen looked forward to - except Tom, because he knew that Quirrell would not sell out as big as everyone thought, but would instead poop a lot.

This class is a complete waste of time.

But some people don't think so.

Quirrell was looking forward to this class. Or rather, it was his master who was looking forward to it. Voldemort wanted to observe Harry Potter up close - the boy who had survived a catastrophe and almost killed him, and the b*****d who had the same name as him.

Quirrell entered the classroom and the room was soon filled with the pungent smell of garlic. He explained that it was used to drive away vampires and that the hat on his head was a gift from a prince of the Black State to thank him for driving away the ghouls.

The students believed it, but Tom didn't.

For the first time, Tom raised his hand high.

"R-Riddle..." Quirrell stammered Tom's last name, "Do you have any questions?"

God knows how difficult it is for Quirrell now, Voldemort roared in his brain. This surname reminded Voldemort of his humble origins. He should not have only cast magic on the name Voldemort, but also on his real name Tom Riddle!

Tom got permission, stood up slowly and asked, "Professor, I have read in books that garlic can repel vampires, but this is Hogwarts, and Dumbledore is the greatest wizard of this century."

"I really can't imagine what kind of vampire would dare to chase you here and persecute you."

The little wizards immediately burst into laughter and nodded frequently.

That makes sense. It makes a lot of sense.

Even the young Muggle wizards who knew nothing about the wizarding world gradually understood what the name Dumbledore represented - it was an insurmountable mountain.

"I, I'm afraid he will curse me." Quirrell had already found an excuse, "Riddle, never underestimate the danger of dark creatures. We must always be vigilant."

"Your question is very interesting. Five points to Slytherin."

"I understand, thank you professor." Tom sat down again.

Just as he thought, Quirrell would use the method of adding points to calm things down. This is a sheep with plenty of wool.

In the following classes, Quirrell did not say anything meaningful at all. He just repeated what was in the book in his own words, which greatly disappointed the young wizards.

After class, Tom saw Malfoy and Harry having another verbal conflict.

Malfoy only had Harry in his eyes now. He kept bringing his followers to cause trouble for Harry and even ignored Tom, the heretic in the school.

Tom's life was very peaceful over the next few days.

Apart from attending classes every day, I spend my days dealing with the two little witches.

Hermione always dragged him to the library or found a place where no one was around to practice magic, while Daphne preferred to take walks with Tom and explore the secrets of the castle.

Apart from these two, Tom had no other friends.

Slytherin looked down on his background, and other houses looked down on Slytherin. It was unique for a Slytherin to be hated by three houses.

He felt that apart from the little snake's own problems, Snape also had half the credit.

In just a few days, Slytherin's house score was far ahead of the other three houses.

It's not that he added more points, Snape deducted more points from other houses...

"How could he do this!"

After witnessing Snape deduct two points from two Ravenclaw girls because they walked a little faster, Hermione complained angrily: "He is simply using a magnifying glass to find faults in other houses."

"Oh, it's a good thing our professor has a magnifying glass instead of making it up out of thin air," Daphne agreed sarcastically.

Tom admitted that from this point of view, Daphne was indeed a qualified Slytherin.

As long as victory is achieved, the means used are not important.

Snape's deductions were all justified, but these mistakes were the kind that could be deducted or not. You could say he was strict, but you couldn't say he was looking for trouble.

Of course, Tom felt that the two girls were most likely in trouble because of him, because Snape glared at him just now.

They happened to pass between the two men and became the targets of their anger.

"If you two keep quarreling, I'm going to starve to death."

The two little witches started arguing with each other again, and Tom had no choice but to persuade them.

This situation happened countless times within a few days. The two were simply natural enemies and would argue for a long time over any trivial matter.

"Come on, Tom. You have astronomy class tonight. You should eat more."

Daphne pulled Tom away, and Hermione bit her lip and went to the Gryffindor table.

At night, after memorizing the names of a dozen stars through the astronomical telescope, the students left the rooftop tiredly and returned to their dormitories.

It was late at night and his roommates fell asleep quickly. Tom cast a Stunning Spell on each of them, put an Disillusionment Spell on himself, and began his first night tour in Hogwarts.
