Lucien's Draven:
We were still talking—Ronan and I- mostly me—when we reached the spot where the Hidden Castle should have been. The sky was already shifting into twilight, the sun dipping low behind the distant hills. I felt the warmth of our earlier excitement still thrumming in my veins, a sense of shared purpose that had grown stronger after our trip to the village.
Ronan paused, adjusting his grip on the crib we'd just purchased. "You ready?"
I nodded, setting down the rest of our bags for a moment. My magic itched beneath my skin, eager to be used. "Yeah. Let's do this."
Closing my eyes, I took a slow breath and reached for the familiar well of power deep inside me. It felt like a gentle pull, a quiet hum that resonated with the castle's enchantment. Then I whispered the words that only I knew—the incantation that allowed me to bring the Hidden Castle forth.
A soft rush of air. A faint shimmer in the space before us.
Then, like a veil lifting, the castle appeared.
