[ Chapter XIII (13): "KNIGHT ARENA TESTED AND DONE, VIKING ARENA UNDER TESTING, SAMURAI ARENA BEING BUILT" ]
[ "Go, Billy! Do your best little buddy, I believe in you!" ]
Amidst the cheering of the frantic crowd, the voice of one dishelved out of place looking man could be heard actively fighting against them all.
As other than the ones who bet against the Knight, only he— Arthur, the protagonist and the cause of this, is one that is actively cheering for the Viking to win this ordeal.
[ "Wh-who said that?!" ] The said Viking in the other hand— Billy Batson in the form of his adult self could be seen frantically searching the crowd, before then blocking the strike of the man in front of him.
He swong his axe and didn't hit a thing, as he then gets hit instead with the butt of his "enemy's" longsword before then getting kicked in the ankle. [ "Damn it, I los-!" ]
He spoke up... But was cut off by the Knight, so does his head as it widens it's eyes before losing the glint in it; landing on the sands nearby after raining blood on the enemy NPC that is waving at the crowd.
[ THE ARENA: VIKING VS. KNIGHT END ]
[ THE KNIGHT FACTION WINS! ]
[ "Tssssss!" ] Sucking in the air through his teeth, he watches carefully on the pit, the lifeless body of the boy superhero named SHAZAM killed by a Knight NPC...
He kinda expected something from the boy, but hmm, at the very least he did test out his For Honor Arena's mechanics, and could say that aside from needing some added touch here and there; then nothing else, to his surprise, his arena works as intended.
Worried for the soul of one Billy Batson, he then opened up his videofeed on the Lobby— as he then moves the camera to fly inside the Garden... wherein it finally found a gasping kid, in slight shock, surrounded by plants. [ "I... I think I went too far..." ]
Seeing this reaction, Arthur regrets it. As thought he turned off the pain feature of this part of his universe, he did still gave the kid a traumatic shock by having him beheaded by one of his NPCs. As that said kid was then forced into this testing of his without prompt in the first place...
Sighting to himself, he then pulled out his Inventory, ready to give the kid some chocolates and what remaining seedlings he has as repayment, and for forgiveness in forcing him to partake in a life-or-death battle in 3D, wherein he technically "died."
But before his fingertips could interract with the sent button, he noticed in his peripheral the shaking figure of Billy suddenly erupting in extreme joy— greatly confusing him in doing so. [ "Hah...?" ]
Shaking his head, he then paused all NPCs around him to shut up. As they does so, not even moving as he instead focused all of his attention to one certain Mr. Batson that is talking to the Plants with a smile; [ "Wait... what in the..." ]
[ "I-I fought a Knight! T-there was this thousands of people cheering me in the pit, and then... and then..." ] Listening in closely on the kid, he could hear the kid recount what happened from the start.
Opposite to what he initially thought, apparently this weird kid enjoyed every single second of it— so much so that he wants to experience it again, and fight the Knight, for as long as it takes for him to ultimately kill the said thing... Good kid.
Thumbs up. Arthur smiles in seeing this, as he then creates a specialized Mission just for Billy, and for the other 2 kid Players that would be performing in the other Arenas once it gets built by him.
But at the moment, he gives the System Mission to Billy Batson before then giving him the ability to enter the For Honor Arena whenever he wants too. Kill the Knight for how many times for christ sake, it'll only give him skills in the end when the System detects a noteworthy achievement.
Kill the Knight once, twice, thrice, or even a hundred times. Arthur doesn't care, he actually encourages this, especially with the unpredictable way the System moves, and how it randomly awards him for what his Players, those that is inside his Games, does. So go, you are being supported.
He watches as the starry eyed child waved goodbye at the Plants, but not before watering them, as he then takes his leave by clicking the floating For Honor Arena teleportation slot in front of him...
A circular blue light appearing under him as he then disappears from where he is. This mechanism was detected by the Arena, as the once frozen NPCs rewinds to the start... As they then moved again, everyone other than the Creator, [ "Kill the brute!" ]
Sighting, Elias then levitates away from the stand, as he then perfects the outside of Arena A (Knights), planting plants, creating stalls and buildings that wouldn't be seen from inside the arena... But still, he wants to add this detail for himself, so he did; not like it's expensive for a rich man like him.
After some time, he was finally finished, as on the side is the videofeed of Billy as the Viking again surprisingly, getting his ass handed to him before then dying... Teleporting to the Garden, then back to the preparation area of the Arena, cycle repeat.
Arthur on the other hand, he focused on modeling the ruined castle that he is about to create on the cliff. This visible from the pit when the Players play Arena A, so he rushed the creation of it; this being hollow on the inside and is merely just walls... But still, decorations. [ "Oh, wait... Was that castle originally there...?!!" ]
He listens to Billy's confuse tone in the videofeed while flying, on an area very-very far-away from Arena A, for this one he'll be creating the Arena B which is centered on Viking culture. With Arena A showing the culture of Knights, being the home turf of Knights actually, as proven by the occasional cursing of the NPCs to other hostile Factions, throwing of items and even plain hatred... Favoritism for short.
Now Arena B (Vikings) will also have that advantage, for Vikings. As this one is instead on a moving raider ship— that's what he thought, but at the moment he still hasn't created anything, and is still flying trying to reach a place far from Arena A; as so their terrains and background doesn't clash with one another, that'll be horror.
No, after for what felt like eternity... Arthur doesn't have a clock or ways to tell how long he float, so he'll use how many times his Player— Billy, died as the ruler for this scenario... So after Billy died 11 times, Arthur was finally satisfied enough as he nods at his paperwhite blank surroundings.
A canvas to a painter, a space for a developer like him to go wild in... As he does, quickly changing the floor into sea for miles-to-miles on end— the sea calm at the moment, with it changing soon enough.
Using his coding powers, he designated the area of where he is standing, as the snow biome, causing the place to have snow fall from the air; something that Arthur couldn't feel, but something his NPCs and Players inhabiting a shell created using codes could.
After ensuring that everything is well perfectly done, he then created a giant viking ship based on those he had seen in the original For Honor game he played for hours, and to those generated by the System on the 3D For Honor Game... which he spent hours in murdering, hashing, and slashing that he knows by heart.
He created about ten of them each with their own Viking insignia and culture in it, then decorated them, then made them unique to one another as they sail close to one another, but not that close to the point that they'll hit one another. After feeling satisfied, he then went out and created a nearby land covered in snow.
Houses, castles, villages you name it, but he didn't create that much due to them not being seen that much from the ship, which is the Arena B for the Players... Floating around in the air, he then places glazers after glazers, even creating some snow based monster NPCs like wolves on the forest, or in the ship but are non-combat.
Then he created the humans, he created ones that doesn't need to sleep, eat, or drink, only having minimal intelligence and is more like robots. On the village he littered them, then burly men on the ships wearing leather armor, drinking, eating, and sleeping to their heart's content— Vikings.
Coding the biggest ship to the Arena, he then created "if" scenarios that the System could based on. Probability chances of the ship crashing and such, probability of the weather being bad, probability of the sea rampaging as it all changes the action of the other non-combatant Viking NPCs...
Overall, after some time, he was engrossed by this, forgetting about his Player— Billy that is still getting killed for the nth time, not giving up, still picking Viking, and is ready to die...
After a while, Arthur was finally done in creating the Arena B. His finishing touch being the boss of this area, being the NPC that the Players would fight... After such fight though, the area designated as Arena B would reset, as the probability of the scenery also changing each time.
[ "Finally, done!" ] He floats above his creations that doesn't seem to notice him, he codded that fact there, that no one could see him, touch him, or even smell him. Seeing them prepare for the next raid of theirs, he then left them be.
He then flys away on somewhere else wherein he would create the third and final Arena, that would be the Samurai Arena... As he flies though, he thought of something and decided to code the 2nd Arena something that each and every single Player could access and enter— albeit by chance.
As of the moment there is about 81 Players active, mostly new... So for each Player active, they have the chance of being randomly kidnapped and playing 3 rounds of For Honor fighting in Arena B— that is somewhhere 1.15% chance for each one. [ "Send and done...!" ]
...
[ "So anyways, where was I." ] Jessica, always the chatty one of the newly arrived Players is talking about her childhood, about how she fell on a canal at one point and cried home... But was confused as she notices the gaze of the other grey jumpsuit wearing people around her— as they then pointed at her feet.
[ "Is my shoes that ugly?" ] But don't they all have the same shoe type? Anyways, she glanced down at her feet and noticed that she is inside a small blue circle that has the words "GoG" and "UTOPIA" in it, [ "Hey, what is thi-!" ] Before then snapping out of reality, away from the Lobby— Paradise.
[ "s... Oh wow." ] Instantaneously appearing somewhere else, that has a brighter sun compared to where she was previously. As she then scans her surroundings, noticing the sea around her, and the stench of beer that she is keenly familiar with.
[ PLEASE, PLAYER, CHOOSE YOUR FACTION ]
[ KNIGHT FACTION ]
[ VIKING FACTION ]
[ SAMURAI FACTION ]
Pass the window text that appeared in front of her, she noticed 6ft tall men going about their day, drinking, eating, sleeping on the giant wooden ship that she is on... Smiling to herself, she couldn't believe what's happening, on how she appeared here suddenly— as she then tries to get the attention of the men around her.
[ "Hello?" ] No reaction, [ "Uhh- excuse me, sir...?" ] No reaction again, [ "Can I ask, where are we?" ] Again, no reaction. As a last resort, she was about to block the way of one of the gigantic men. Did so, but weirdly enough, the said man just passed through her like she's a ghost.
[ "I-I'm a ghost!" ] Jessica looks at her hand in horror, as even though it's the same color which is brown, still, in her eyes she's a ghost. So saddened by this fact, she instead focused her gaze on floating text that they call the System— clicking the bottom most option which is Samurais. Sounds cool.
But in doing so, she didn't know that her body would change and grow 6ft tall, the same height as the men and women around her, as tall as the warboss which is looking at the sea. Her features somewhat change, but remains the same, [ "This is so cool!" ]
She watches especially as armor materialize and fit around her body comfortably, like some kind of anime, as in front of her appears a weapon— a Katana that she then holds... In doing so, she caught the attention of the people around her, causing her to be weirded out.
[ "Oh, you guys can see me- what are you doing?" ] About to make friends with them, she then quickly noticed the hostility in their eyes, as they then parted to show one-man, the tallest of them all wielding an axe or some sorts. Which he then pointed at the worried Jessica. [ "Hi also, I-I uhh- I come in peace... No-no fights!" ]
[ ARENA MISSION: "KILL THE ENEMY VIKING CHAMPION" ]
[ REWARD: +150 SYSTEM CREDITS, VIKING KILLER TITLE ]
But her heart beat stops moving slightly as she then notices the text in front of her appear, she reads it carefully in confusion... As she then realized that yes, she is in fact at the moment, screwed. [ "Oh damn..." ]
