JUDE
"Are you going to take a sip?"
"I will. I just need a minute."
Truth is, I am so full, and the way jude is now all pressed agaisnt me on the booth is screwing with my mind a little bit. What happens after I take the beer, and it messes with me even more?
"Have you never taken a beer before?" he is looking at me.
"No?" Yes. I hate how this is all making me look. A naïve, inexperienced man. Yep, it's embarrassing on all levels.
Miko has no problem taking a sip from his big mug. I follow the tip of his tongue as he locks to the top of his lip before I realize what I am doing.
I do need to drink it, if it helps getting my hungry eyes away from my friend.
"So, how come you only had one girlfriend?"
"What?"
Miko shrugs, sitting back as he pins me with that look he always has when he wants to know more. He always leans back, eyes narrowing just a little, and his mouth curls in a disarming smile, almost to make you think the question he is asking isn't a big deal.
