Chapter 232 - Chapter 232: Heads Will Roll

With that thought, Vir walked over to the large bed.

He kicked off his flip-flops and plopped down onto it.

First impression? Sheer comfort.

In all his years, he'd never slept on a bed so comfy.

A nap here would probably feel like paradise.

When he got back, he'd have to get himself one of these.

With that thought, Vir sat up.

He pulled out his medical kit and retrieved an incredibly stylish long sword from it.

Its default length was 1.6 meters, but it could freely extend and retract.

The blade had a slight curve, its color a pale blue.

The hilt was white, just the way Vir liked it.

From looks alone, this sword was right up his alley.

This was a three-million-points sword, after all.

Couldn't find a flaw even if he tried.

The more Vir looked at it, the more satisfied he felt.

But for now, he could only admire it.

Its true strength would only be known after testing it.

If the opportunity arose, he'd spar with someone tomorrow—to see how well its abilities worked.

And when Shiki showed up, he'd test the Vibro-Blade's true power.

That's right—he planned to use this sword to "treat" the Golden Lion.

Sure, he hadn't used it yet.

But based on its description...

Attaching a leg or two shouldn't be an issue.

He'd yank out the ship's rudder stuck in the guy's head while he was at it as well.

That should do it.

His injuries didn't sound too complicated to treat.

The procedure itself seemed straightforward.

But these were old wounds.

Whether the legs could actually be fixed was anyone's guess.

If he could pull it off, then fixing Red-Hair's arm should be no problem either.

For now, he'd start with the Vibro-Blade test on the legs first. As for the head, a proper craniotomy would be better.

Yup.

Standard procedure.

Chainsaw, straight to the skull.

Wonder if that guy's ever seen a scene like that.

Vir himself had never cracked open a skull with a chainsaw before.

Gotta admit, he was kinda looking forward to it.

After buying the Vibro-Blade, he was down to 900,000 negative points.

This trip with Hancock had netted him 2.5 million in total.

That was already a massive haul.

Plus, the petrification ability was insanely useful.

And now he had the Vibro-Blade.

A weapon that felt just right.

He hadn't even used it yet, but it was obvious just by looking—it wasn't some run-of-the-mill blade.

Its rank was definitely on the level of a Supreme Grade Meito—maybe even above that.

Rayleigh's little knife didn't hold a candle to this thing.

Once he got in sync with it, his combat strength would spike again.

Dealing with the Summit War? Shouldn't be a problem.

"Vir~"

At that moment, a figure phased through the wall, appearing before him and softly calling his name.

Vir sheathed the Vibro-Blade and asked, "What's up?"

Merry, hearing him, started recounting her time as a "bug" at Marine Headquarters.

The fake teeth Vir had planted on Aokiji had already been removed by the Marines.

So yesterday, Merry had been eavesdropping at their base. She had only returned not long before he used Position Swap earlier today.

"Those two Marine Admirals—no, actually, everyone got chewed out~ They were all so miserable~ Hehe~"

"Also, Luffy's grandpa got sent to some place called Impel Down."

"Then—then some purple-haired instructor showed up~ That guy said if you appeared during the war~ He'd personally teach you a lesson~"

"He was so full of himself~ There's no way he could beat you~"

Merry described the scene with vivid enthusiasm.

Vir poured himself some water into a cartoon-themed mug, sipping while listening intently.

When she finished, an image of a one-armed man popped into Vir's head.

Damn, this pirate world's full of people missing arms and legs...

Zephyr, huh.

Gunning for me?

That plan's doomed to fail.

'Cause I don't even know who I'll be by then.

Think you can recognize me?

What a joke.

No big deal.

Just small fry problems.

"Where'd you run off to during the treatment?"

After taking a sip of hot water, Vir asked again.

The little ghost had zipped off somewhere earlier—he had no idea where she'd gone.

"I went to find Yamato~! She's with Luffy right now~. They were talking about Ace, I think~."

No sooner had Merry spoken—

*BOOM!*

A loud crash.

Vir's door was kicked open.

At the same time, a figure charged toward him at full speed.

But Vir didn't flinch.

He just frowned slightly.

"VIR! VIR! ACE GOT CAUGHT! ACE GOT CAUGHT!!"

The figure shouted as he barreled toward Vir.

Upon reaching the bed, he tried to leap onto it.

Vir, leaning against the headboard, raised a hand in exasperation.

And grabbed his head mid-air.

"The hell? Talk if you wanna talk, why jump on the bed?"

Pointing at the wrecked door, he barked, "Fine, you don't know how to knock! But at least push the damn door! Who taught you to kick it?!"

Luffy, still held by Vir, blinked at the door in confusion.

"What's wrong with kicking it? That's how I always open doors on the ship."

Vir's frown deepened.

"Oh? That's how you do it, huh? And you get smacked by Nami every time, right? Nami's not here now, so I guess I'll do the honors?"

As he spoke, a sleek, blue-glowing sword appeared in Vir's hand.

But Luffy didn't have time to admire how cool it looked!

The blade was already swinging toward his neck!

Luffy panicked for real!

Vir wasn't messing around!

This guy would chop him and stitch him back together!

"AAAHHH! OKAY OKAY!! NO MORE KICKING! I'LL FIX IT! I'LL FIX THE DOOR!"

Luffy blurted out in a rush.

Just as he did, the sword stopped right in front of his neck.

Any later, and his head would've been rolling.

It was that close to grazing his skin.

With how sharp this blade was...

It would leave a mark.

And if it left a mark... treatment would be necessary.

But thankfully, he reacted fast enough.

Luffy exhaled in relief.

Vir released him.

Tch.

Vir had wanted to test the Vibro-Blade's vibration effect.

But Luffy's reflexes were too quick.

Not long after—

"Luffy! Luffy, don't mess around!"

Another voice rang out.

Yamato came rushing over.

After she'd told Luffy about Ace's situation, he'd bolted off in a panic.

It took her a moment to realize he'd probably run to Vir's room.

Worried Vir might slice him up, Yamato had hurried after him.

But when she arrived, she froze at the bizarre scene...

Luffy stood awkwardly in front of a door.

Vir, with a dark expression, was staring at it.

Then Yamato noticed something off about the door...

That door...

How to put it?

It was kinda... crooked.

Vir looked at the "fixed" door Luffy had put up. The once-vertical door was now horizontal. He silently closed his eyes.

Couldn't bear to look.

Just... couldn't.

This was some next-level nonsense.

Not just the door.

Luffy himself was...
