"Hehe, this was something Haruto told me!" the blonde girl said shyly, brushing her hair back behind her ear.
"He instructed me to secretly follow Sasuke and the others during the exam without being noticed."
"He also said that a pervert from Kusagakure would definitely come after them, and told me to stop him at the critical moment!"

"What?!" Orochimaru's eyes widened at the sight of the massive ball of flesh rolling toward him, instinctively sensing danger and quickly dodging to the side.
However, he suddenly felt something restraining his feet — he looked down to find vine-like tendrils erupting from the ground, wrapping tightly around him!
In desperation, Orochimaru sliced off the bindings and escaped.
Chōji continued barreling forward and slammed into a towering tree.
Crack!
With a deafening crack, the massive tree snapped clean in half.
"What terrifying strength!" Orochimaru's pupils contracted.
Had he not dodged in time, even he would have suffered serious injuries.
"This is the Akimichi Clan's signature technique!" Orochimaru narrowed his eyes, recognizing the classic teamwork of the "Ino-Shika-Chō" trio.
"These Konoha Genin are much stronger than expected."
"Idiot, don't ignore me!" Sakura shouted angrily.
The fact that this weirdo dared to target Sasuke while she wasn't looking filled her with fury.

"Why didn't you call me to fight earlier?" Naruto said while squatting on top of Shikamaru's shadow box with a grinning face.
"By the way, who was that guy we were hitting?" Naruto asked, shielding his eyes as he looked toward Orochimaru's flying figure.
"..." Everyone nearly fainted on the spot.
He had been fighting without even knowing who the enemy was?!
"Haha..." Orochimaru's eerie laughter came from a distance.
He returned, his mask shattered, exposing his true face.
He glared at the group grimly, his voice dripping with venom:
"Konoha's education standards really have improved... To think such outstanding seedlings could appear."
"Hehe!" Naruto scratched his head sheepishly, still oblivious.
"But it doesn't matter..." Orochimaru's tone turned cold.
"Today... all of you will die!"
In a flash, Orochimaru reappeared behind Sakura.
The pink-haired girl had landed the brick blow that stunned him — he would repay her first.
Bang!
Sakura was kicked flying into a thick tree, embedding into it deeply. Whether she was dead or alive was unclear.
"Sakura!" Ino screamed and rushed forward.
"And you two!" Orochimaru appeared between Ino and Shikamaru, kicking them both away with monstrous force.
"And you, little fatty! Die too!"
He lunged toward Chōji.
"What?!" Chōji's anger exploded at being called "fatty."

Chōji's body expanded massively, and he slammed down onto Orochimaru.

A huge crater formed in the ground where they collided.
As Chōji shrank back to normal size, Orochimaru stood up from the pit without a scratch.

With that, Orochimaru delivered a flying kick.
Chōji flew into the sky like a shooting star, disappearing from view.
Just as Orochimaru was about to turn and attack Naruto, a strange sound interrupted him.

The shadow box surrounding Sasuke exploded outward.
In the cloud of dust, Sasuke stood tall.
His bloodshot eyes radiated cold light.
Naruto, blown aside by the blast, watched dumbfounded.
"Yo," Sasuke said lightly, looking at the mess around him.
"Seems like I woke up just in time."
