Chapter 86 - 86

"This is a somewhat long summary of the two years, but to be honest, this is a comedy-style novel, so I don't plan on going crazy with too many events. I'm taking a week off from this story. Why? No idea what new things to add, hahaha."

Only a few months had passed since Sengoku's official retirement as Fleet Admiral of the Marines. His departure left a void that only a man with unshakable convictions, overwhelming power, and a firm vision of balance could fill. It was then that Kuzan, known as Aokiji, took on the responsibility as the new Fleet Admiral"an appointment that left many within the World Government and the Marines stunned.

With this change, the admiral position Aokiji had held for years became vacant. And it didn't take long before a new figure rose to take it on with determination and without hesitation: Kara. Her promotion came as no surprise to those who knew her, but to the rest of the world, it was news that shook the foundations of justice. Kara, imposing, skilled, and feared, became the new Marine Admiral.

At the same time, the position vacated by Akainu, the fierce bearer of magma, was filled by a man of balanced justice and steady gaze: Issho, better known as Fujitora. His appointment was well received by many within the Marines, but what truly marked a turning point was Akainu's surprising reaction.

After months in a coma, Sakazuki Akainu awoke in a room at Marine HQ, his face hardened and his body mutilated"he had lost an arm and a leg. Upon learning that Aokiji was now Fleet Admiral, his anger was silent but absolute. Without a word, he resigned from the Marines that very day, leaving with a handful of loyal followers who still believed in his vision of absolute justice. His departure was as impactful as his presence in the war at Marineford.

Kara, however, was neither surprised nor moved. She had already anticipated that Sakazuki's ego wouldn't tolerate seeing his rival become leader. She was also unfazed by the complaints from the World Government, who, since Aokiji's appointment, had drastically reduced funding to the Marines in an obvious attempt to hinder his administration.

But what no one saw coming was the public appearance of a legendary figure, previously known only through rumors and whispers among the underworld and high command. The leader of the bounty hunter guild revealed his face to the world: a short old man with a wise smile, yet whose strength was undeniable. He was the same man who, with a single blow, had expelled Kaido from Marineford amid the chaos of war. His name: Makarov Dreyar.

And not only that: he seemed to have a personal connection with Kara. Their interaction was so natural, so full of familiarity, that to many it was clear they treated each other like family.

The name Makarov Dreyar spread like wildfire across the seas. When his guild agreed to give a share of their holdings to the Marines, sealing a treaty of mutual aid and tactical cooperation, the world changed.

The agreement was clear: the bounty hunter guild would act in coordination with the Marines during threat-level situations, and the Marines would do the same in support of the guild. Two different forces, now working as two sides of the same coin, united in their goal of eradicating pirate chaos from the world. The most interesting part was that the guild didn't just hunt criminals; it also helped struggling communities through legal contracts and protection missions, earning the people's respect.

Economically, this alliance was a rebirth for the Marines. What were previously restrictions imposed by the World Government now turned into indirect profits. Bounties for pirates still came from the Government, but a portion of those funds now made their way into Marine coffers thanks to the new arrangement. And best of all: the Government couldn't complain. After all, the pirates being captured were the very same ones they had labeled as threats.

The "Fairy Tail" guild, led by Makarov, quickly became a legend within Paradise and the Grand Line. Although it remained part of the central bounty hunter guild, it operated under its own name and with a unique identity. Inspired by this model, other bounty hunter groups founded their own guilds with different names, all affiliated with the main guild. In this way, the Bounty Hunter Guild transformed into a kind of Guild Council"a powerful, decentralized federation... backed by the Marines. Very few could compete with such power.

However, Makarov was no fool. He knew the World Government wouldn't sit idly by. He quickly identified several new members who, despite trying to blend in, carried the stench of manipulation and espionage. It was clear they were infiltrators sent to seize control from within. But Makarov was not someone easily caught off guard.

Meanwhile, in the New World, a name was beginning to resonate with force: Gildarts Clive. In just a few months, he had mastered Armament Haki and was leaping from island to island, challenging powerful pirates and solidifying his reputation as one of the guild's most feared warriors. His destructive style and overwhelming confidence made him stand out among his peers.

And then, the unthinkable happened: the Marines, along with the affiliated guilds, legally entered the New World. It was an ambitious and risky move"but one planned down to the finest detail. The guilds would occupy territories, eliminate pirate threats, and then the Marines would establish permanent bases in those areas, consolidating a network of control and order never seen before.

The balance of the world was beginning to shift.

The forces of chaos were retreating.

And a new, powerful, and unprecedented alliance was emerging from the shadows to bring forth a new era of justice.

Thanks to the rise of the bounty hunters' guild and its unexpected alliance with the Marines, the islands conquered in the New World ceased to be mere strategic control points and began to evolve into true hubs of sustainable development. Every territory liberated from pirate influence was swiftly transformed into a center of production and trade.

Guild members, alongside the Marines, would analyze the ecosystem and particular conditions of each island. If the land was fertile for certain crops, adapted plants were brought in. If the surrounding seas were rich in marine life, hatcheries and controlled fishing networks were established. Even local animals were domesticated or relocated to encourage agriculture, livestock, or tourism. Gradually, the islands stopped being conflict zones and became prosperous, self-sustaining civilizations.

Seeing this newfound stability, merchants began investing in these lands. Ports, warehouses, markets, and trade routes"protected by the guild itself"were founded. The economy blossomed. Every commercial ship was escorted by bounty hunters or specially assigned marines. A logistical network emerged like nothing seen before, with precise delivery times and routes shielded even from the Grand Line's most treacherous climates.

However, there was one line the guild could not cross: direct control of these businesses. Though they were mainly responsible for security and logistics, if the guild took complete control of the economy, it would raise red flags within the World Government. They were already being watched. Managing an immense fortune would not only draw attention"it would be considered an act of treason.

And it was then, as if he had planned it all from the shadows, that he appeared: an S-Rank member who had never shown his face in public. Silent, elegant, and with a smile that seemed to hide an entire world of secrets, his name once again echoed across the seas"Gild Tesoro.

Tesoro, as some called him, was not just an eccentric billionaire. He was the guild's hidden sponsor. A master investor. Owner of an unimaginable fortune, he had secretly financed everything from the guild's first weapons to its earliest ships. His influence on the global economy was such that he could collapse or boost markets with a mere snap of his fingers.

Kara had met him years ago, during one of her many adventures. And as was typical for her, their relationship began with a fight. A beating, to be precise. However, after the battle came a proposal: to join the guild with a vision that went beyond money. Kara didn't offer him just a position"she offered him a purpose. And as a gesture of goodwill, she gave him part of the gold from Skypiea to create his floating city, a golden paradise of luxury known as Gran Tesoro.

Issho, still part of the guild before becoming an admiral, was the one who originally protected that place. But with his rise within the Marines, that task passed to Laxus and the Raijin Team, a group of powerful guild members who took turns with other units to safeguard the city.

Two years had already passed since the Great Marineford War. The seas had grown calm... but only on the surface. Because beneath it, the currents of fate were beginning to stir.

The Straw Hat Pirates were about to return to the seas, stronger than ever. And with them, a new era of chaos and freedom was about to shake the New World. Unpredictable missions, epic clashes, and a chain of events that would challenge the balance between the Marines, the Yonkou, and the bounty hunters' guild.

Kaido and Big Mom, after Whitebeard's fall, had formed a terrifying alliance. However, after the capture of three of Kaido's commanders"who were not returned despite pressure from the World Government"their influence began to waver. Aokiji, now serving as fleet admiral, was not afraid of the Government's orders. If enemies were captured, they stayed locked up. Period.

This, combined with the growing movement of the Revolutionary Army led by Monkey D. Dragon, further strained the relationship between the Marines and the World Government. The revolutionaries were not just moving"they were gaining support.

Support that, to the Government, was coming from unknown sources.

In such a scenario, a direct war between the Marines and the Government was a terrifying possibility. If the revolutionaries managed to get the Marines on their side, the Government would be finished. That's why, even though they deeply resented Aokiji and the new direction the Marines were taking, they accepted a superficial peace. A truce filled with espionage and manipulation from the shadows.

But Kara, the new admiral, wasn't naive. She knew perfectly well that Government spies were infiltrating day after day. So she sent them on suicidal, impossible missions where their true loyalties would quickly be revealed.

Despite all this, Kara was often seen acting carefree. Sometimes she wandered around random islands, exploring new markets, eating sweets, or bothering a few recruits. Like a whimsical shadow. Like a goddess of war who, between battles, chose to toy with the world.
