Chapter 162 - Chapter 162: From Now On, Fuyuki is Duel City!

Among the remaining Servants, Minamoto no Raikou and Medusa were entirely devoted to their Masters, lacking any independent desires. Cu Chulainn had regretfully withdrawn, Jason had no say, Archer was unconscious, and Serenity obeyed Jiang You's commands without question.

As for the Masters, the Einzbern family had already obtained what they sought, leaving Illya with no further wishes. Rin Tohsaka still desperately clung to the hope of victory (though her chances were slim), Sakura had achieved her goal of killing Old Man Worm, Bazett had been disqualified, and Shirou Emiya remained unconscious.

Thus, the privilege of making a wish once again fell to Jiang You.

"How about the rate of the universe's expansion..." Jiang You began to recycle his stale joke.

"You've already used that joke!" Illya quickly interrupted Jiang You's incantation, feeling she had endured enough. "Every time the Holy Grail appears before you, it loses value. Can't you at least respect the achievements of the Three Great Houses?"

"But they haven't heard it yet," Jiang You retorted.

Jiang You believed that anything interesting was worth repeating as long as even one person hadn't heard it. Otherwise, people would continue to cling to the unrealistic fantasy that the Holy Grail was some kind of omnipotent wish-granting machine.

"Have you forgotten about those two Heroes of Justice?" Rin Tohsaka asked, glancing at the two Emiyas sprawled on the ground, looking as if they had finally found peace. Though she hadn't particularly wanted things to end this way, she knew Shirou Emiya would risk his life to achieve this outcome. She felt compelled to remind Jiang You of their efforts. "After all they've been through, shouldn't we at least consider them?"

"Oh, right!" Jiang You clapped his hands. Archer had previously mentioned wanting to blanket the entire globe with his Noble Phantasms. In a twisted way, that could fulfill his ideal of world peace, however absurd the idea. Since Shirou had gone this far, Jiang You figured helping him out wouldn't hurt.

With no one needing resurrection, Jiang You finalized his wish. He wondered if this Type-Moon World would suddenly transform into a Yu-Gi-Oh! setting.

"Then that's the wish I'll make."

Jiang You could have extended the range of his Noble Phantasm to encompass the entire globe, but he lacked the magical power to sustain it indefinitely. The Holy Grail conveniently provided that power, allowing him to casually determine the future of this world.

Knowing he couldn't remain in this Worldline forever, he added a condition to his wish: "I wish to permanently solidify the coverage of my Noble Phantasm over this entire planet!"

Centered on Jiang You, the rules of his Noble Phantasm materialized into a tangible wave, radiating outward—ten meters, then a hundred, then a thousand, then ten thousand... After engulfing all of Fuyuki City, the wave surged several kilometers further before grinding to a halt.

The solidified rules encompassed only Fuyuki City and a few neighboring towns.

"Seriously? Is that all?" Jiang You sensed the range of his Noble Phantasm. During the Fourth Holy Grail War, Kiritsugu Emiya's three Command Spells had allowed him to extend its reach across all of Fuyuki City. Now, with the Holy Grail's magical power, the coverage had barely expanded by a fraction.

"Is this the Holy Grail? What a joke! Why were you all fighting over this thing?"

"The problem lies in the nature of your request," a voice replied.

As the most powerful Magus present, Medea held considerable authority. She quickly grasped the reason for the outcome. "Altering the fundamental rules of the world is never an easy feat. While I can't explain why you personally require so little magical power for this, solidifying this rule will naturally require the Holy Grail to supply the necessary energy."

"To maintain this altered rule, the Holy Grail will now function as an integral part of your Noble Phantasm. It will provide the immense magical power needed, covering the maximum range the Grail can sustain by balancing the energy it draws from the spiritual veins."

Medea glanced at Rin Tohsaka and Illya before elaborating further. "In other words, there will never be another Holy Grail War in Fuyuki."

"That's fine. The Einzbern family will fully support Jiang You's decision," Illya replied, her gaze fixed on Sakura Matou. The Einzbern had long been aware of Jiang You's existence, and Illya no longer needed to shoulder the burden of her family's long-cherished wish alone. Consequently, they had no vested interest in whether the Holy Grail War continued.

"Compared to the Holy Grail, the current situation in Fuyuki City is what the Tohsaka Family really needs to focus on," Rin Tohsaka muttered, rubbing her temples. "Honestly, dealing with the Church after that bastard priest died was already a headache, and now this mess?"

The thought alone made her head throb. Fuyuki City might as well rename itself Duel City. Once word got out, mages and politicians from all over the world would flock here, and she'd have countless matters to manage.

Noticing the others' gazes, Sakura Matou realized she was now the de facto head of the Matou Family. She responded, "The Holy Grail never held any value for me anyway. I'm perfectly content with things as they are."

With no objections from the Three Great Houses, the Holy Grail War concluded in this utterly anticlimactic manner. Remarkably, none of the Heroic Spirits, except for a certain Cu Chulainn, suffered any harm. Truly a cause for celebration!

Soon, the people of Fuyuki City became aware of strange new knowledge blooming in their minds. Accompanied by this knowledge, they began pulling Duel Decks from thin air.

Meanwhile, Hundred Faces once again hijacked every television channel in Fuyuki City.

Citizens of Fuyuki City, congratulations on witnessing this historic moment! It's as if a myth has come to life once again! From this day forward, every resident of Fuyuki City is eligible to engage in Duels. All injuries will be nullified! Every dispute can now be resolved through Duels! From this day forward, Fuyuki shall forever be known as the Duel City! Let the Duels begin!

No one could resist the urge to participate in this miraculous phenomenon. Instantly, anyone who met another's gaze would challenge them to a Duel!

Of course, the idea of completely harmless Duels was unrealistic. Some would undoubtedly exploit the Shadow Game rules to plunder and harm others. However, all attacks and schemes would now occur in the open, giving victims a chance to react and retaliate. This was Archer's intention, and after he awakens, he will likely work with Shirou Emiya to expand the Duel system's reach.

"Alright, this part of the script is almost over. It's time for me to..."

Jiang You was interrupted as Illya grabbed his arm. The innocent-looking white-haired young girl gazed up at him with a mischievous smile, her eyes sparkling with delight. "Trying to escape our Shadow Game, my Caster?"
