Qin Xi's sudden appearance immediately caught the middle-aged man's attention.
When he saw Qin Xi's face, he felt as though spring had arrived once more in his life.
"Hello, beautiful. My name is Wei Xiang, from the Wei family. May I ask your name?"
Wei Xiang's gaze was full of lecherous intent as he shamelessly looked Qin Xi up and down, lingering on certain areas with particular interest.
The young woman beside him wasn't actually his wife—just his latest fling, picked up a few days ago. Though she had some charm, compared to Qin Xi, she was like dirt beneath the heavens.
Qin Xi frowned. In Jiangzhou, anyone who introduced themselves as being from the Wei family could only mean one thing: they belonged to the Wei family, one of Jiangzhou's Four Great Clans.
Just then, Qin Yi stepped out as well. Seeing the strangers in the yard, she asked in confusion, "Sis, who are they?"
If Qin Xi alone had stunned Wei Xiang, the appearance of another stunning beauty like Qin Yi sent his heart racing with delight.
Noticing Wei Xiang's predatory gaze, Qin Xi instinctively shielded Qin Yi behind her and said coldly, "I don't care who you are. This is my home. Leave now!"
"Beautiful, I still don't know your names! Besides, this may be your home now, but soon, it'll be mine," Wei Xiang said with a smirk, his eyes flickering between the two women.
"What do you mean?" Qin Xi's frown deepened.
"This property was developed by my family. Since my woman has taken a liking to it, you'll have to move out. Of course, if you two don't mind, you could always... live with me."
Wei Xiang grinned, making no effort to hide his interest in Qin Xi and Qin Yi.
"You disgusting pig! What the hell are you saying?"
Qin Yi exploded with rage, cursing outright.
Wei Xiang's face darkened instantly. Standing only 1.6 meters tall but weighing over 100 kilograms, with a bloated face and features squeezed together unattractively, he despised any mention of his weight.
Given his status, no one dared call him fat—let alone to his face.
"You little bitch, say that again!"
Wei Xiang's eyes narrowed to slits as his anger flared.
Qin Xi sensed danger and quickly intervened, "Xiao Yi, stop talking! Go inside!"
"Sis, look at this pig's eyes—they're disgusting. It's not his fault he's ugly, but does he have to go around offending people?"
Qin Yi, oblivious to the trouble she was courting, continued mocking him.
"Slap her!" Wei Xiang barked.
One of his bodyguards immediately moved toward Qin Yi.
Only then did Qin Yi realize they were serious.
"If you don't leave, I'm calling security!"
Qin Xi frantically dialed the property management's number. "I'm a homeowner at Cloudcrest Summit. There are trespassers causing trouble here. Send someone immediately!"
The initially polite receptionist abruptly hung up upon hearing "Cloudcrest Summit."
Wei Xiang sneered. "This is a high-end villa community developed by my family. Even if this is Cloudcrest Summit, do you really think they'd dare interfere in my affairs?"
Qin Xi's heart sank. There was only one road leading here, accessible solely to residents. The fact that Wei Xiang had driven in unhindered spoke volumes.
Meanwhile, the bodyguard had reached Qin Yi and raised his hand to strike.
*Smack!*
Just as the blow was about to land, his wrist was caught midair. A dark-skinned giant now stood shielding Qin Yi. The bodyguard's face twisted in shock. "Let go!"
"Get lost!"
The giant—Samba—drove a fist into the bodyguard's chest, sending him stumbling back seven or eight steps, his eyes wide with disbelief.
"Samba!"
Qin Yi recognized him instantly, her face lighting up with relief.
Qin Xi, seeing Samba for the first time, could only stare in astonishment.
"He's here to protect us—sent by Brother-in-Law," Qin Yi explained excitedly.
A pang of bitterness shot through Qin Xi. Despite being Yang Chen's wife, she was realizing just how much Qin Yi knew about him compared to her.
Wei Xiang's expression darkened at the sight of Samba.
Samba himself was mildly surprised. His ambush punch had carried significant force—enough to incapacitate most bodyguards. Yet Wei Xiang's man had only been pushed back.
"You're dead! Both of you, take him down!"
At Wei Xiang's command, the two bodyguards charged Samba simultaneously.
Samba's eyes narrowed. "Go inside," he ordered the sisters before launching himself at the attackers.
Though highly skilled, Samba found himself evenly matched against the duo.
Wei Xiang was stunned. These were top-tier international bodyguards he'd paid a fortune for, yet together they couldn't overpower one man.
Just then, a black Volkswagen Phaeton glided into the estate. Yang Chen stepped out.
"Brother Chen!"
Samba disengaged with two rapid punches, retreating to Yang Chen's side.
Yang Chen's gaze flicked to the Rolls-Royce behind Wei Xiang, instantly gauging the man's influence. But his purpose here remained unclear.
As Yang Chen studied Wei Xiang, the latter glared back. "You! You're Yang Chen, aren't you?"
Recognizing his name meant this was personal. Yang Chen ignored him, turning to Samba. "What happened?"
Samba recounted the events—having covertly protected Qin Yi, he'd witnessed everything.
Hearing that Qin Yi had nearly been struck, Yang Chen's expression turned glacial.
Wei Xiang, incensed at being ignored, snarled, "Hey, bastard! Are you deaf? I'm talking to y—"
*Wham!*
Before he could finish, a shadow blurred past. A slap sent Wei Xiang flying.
The bodyguards froze.
So did Samba.
Yang Chen had been beside him one second; the next, he was ten meters away, delivering that slap.
The speed and force were terrifying.
Wei Xiang's female companion stood petrified, legs trembling.
Yang Chen didn't spare her a glance. Striding to where Wei Xiang lay, he looked down icily. "Leave now with your dogs if you value your life. Set foot here again, and I'll end you."
"You dare hit me? Do you know who I am?"
Wei Xiang wiped blood from his lips, staggering upright with a venomous glare.
"Who you are means nothing. This is my territory. Trespass, and you die."
Yang Chen's eyes held lethal frost.
