Chapter 80 - Chapter 80 The Uchiha are...

"Hiruzen, we need to do something about those Uchiha!" Danzo stormed into the Hokage's office, not even bothering to knock.

Hiruzen sighed, calmly puffing from his pipe. "Danzo… knock next time."

Danzo ignored the comment, already pacing in front of the desk.

"They've completely neglected their duties in the Military Police Force! Crime is spiking all over the village, and those damn Uchiha are doing nothing!"

Hiruzen exhaled slowly, the smoke trailing in the air like the weight of his thoughts. "I'm aware. I've already sent ANBU to handle several incidents."

Danzo slammed his hand on the table. "That's not the only problem! Have you heard what else they're doing?"

Of course, Hiruzen had. The situation had been festering for a while now.

The Uchiha had grown distant from the village. Their performance in the Police Force had plummeted, but truthfully, the Hokage couldn't fault them entirely. He hadn't exactly supported them, delayed stipends, diverted resources, quietly undercutting their authority to fund other departments.

This plan was originally used to weaken the Uchiha's power and make them more obedient to the village. Unexpectedly, the Daimyo has requested the Uchiha Body Guard service that they didn't even know about.

This was an order from the Daimyo, and the Third Hokage couldn't decline it.

Twenty Uchiha Jonin were dispatched. They were efficient, professional, polite, and the Daimyo was thrilled.

The pay was generous, and the Clan flourished. They no longer needed Konoha's support.

So they didn't take their job in the Konoha Military Police Force seriously.

Kadoya had even reinstated an older clan system from the Warring States Period: Uchiha shinobi taking outside missions, earning money, and returning to support the clan directly. It wasn't ideal, but with Kadoya drafted into the war, he left that structure in place, for now.

His idea of an entirely new support system could be left for later.

And with the Daimyo's funds, their families were more than comfortable.

So why would they bother chasing pocket change?

Danzo's scowl deepened at Hiruzen's weak response.

"Hiruzen… do you know what else they're doing now?"

The Hokage glanced up with tired eyes. "What?"

Danzo leaned forward, his voice low and sharp.

"The Uchiha... those evil Uchiha, they are smiling!"

Hiruzen: "..."

Hiruzen blinked. "…What?"

Uchiha... smiled? What the hell is this? What does Uchiha smile mean?

A question mark forms on top of the Third Hokage's head, as he stares at his assistant with a confused expression.

There was a beat of silence. The words didn't compute.

"Explain," Hiruzen said, genuinely confused.

Danzo straightened, relaying intel from his Root operatives.

It turns out that the Uchiha in the past, when they patrolled the streets, they looked cold, arrogant, smug, or blank. The villagers hated them, but at least they knew what to expect.

Anyway, there is no positive image!

Konoha hates Uchiha. In addition to the village's mischief, their own reasons also play a big role.

It's different now.

Today, when the Uchihas were patrolling, they had smiles on their faces. They smiled at everyone they saw. That smile was disturbing and scared people. Some thought they had done something wrong and ran to save themselves.

Even those without problems were frightened by the smiles and trembled, shouting: "Don't come closer!"

Those with health problems fainted almost instantly.

Some screamed 'Don't hit me!' and ducked for cover.

A few vendors got trampled in the chaos.

A child fainted on the spot.

Even healthy shinobi froze up!

The whole village was in chaos.

Those who fled knocked down the vendors' stalls, the frightened waited for medical treatment, and those who stayed still also disrupted order.

The whole village is on edge. Smiling Uchiha are more disturbing than angry ones!

Hiruzen groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Enough. I get it."

Danzo crossed his arms, seething.

"This is a threat, Hiruzen!"

...

Back on the battlefield, Kadoya was heading toward the Iwa base camp, intending to face them all by himself.

As he moved, his instinct suddenly flared up, making him roll to his left.

Looking back, he saw there was nothing behind him.

His instinct flared again, and his body moved on its own, evading something again.

Kadoya looks around him, only seeing the surrounding trees soaked in the heavy rain of Amegakure.

Using his [Third Person POV] to get a better look at his surroundings, Kadoya spotted something behind him. A floating spirit with long pale-blue hair, the waste Dan Kato.

"Heh?"

Kadoya was confused, not sure why this waste was using the Spiritualisation Jutsu to try and take over his body.

Dan rushed toward him once again.

"Just the waste, Muda Kato." Kadoya said, causing Dan's eyes to widen.

His spiritual soul has already gotten so close to Kadoya, but it was too late, as he had already finished his hand seals.

"Fūinjutsu: Battle of Sleeping Spirits!"

A large sealing formation appeared underneath his feet, causing Dan's spiritual body to freeze mid-flight, then a spirit was pulled out from Kadoya's body.

Naori Uchiha.

Dan Kato: "!!?"

Naori: "!!?"

"So, the Waste Kato, mind telling me why you tried to take over and assassinate the Clan Head of Uzumaki?" Kadoya asks, turning to face him, his voice sounding both mocking and amused.

In the original story, Dan Kato was Tsunade's lover before he somehow got himself killed.

In the current timeline, Dan and Tsunade were never a thing, plus his relationship with her seems to be worse due to Kadoya's stunt of camping with Sunagakure, leading to Tsunade thinking it was because of Dan's incompetence that her beloved disciple got captured.

Is he now trying to kill him just because he got cockblock?

Probably...

"Tch! What kind of jutsu is this!?" Dan shouted, trying to escape, only to find himself unable to leave the barrier.

"This? It's one of my fūinjutsu that forces souls to fight it out." Kadoya said with a sinister smile.

The revelation of a fūinjutsu capable of dragging souls out of the body was something unheard of. Even the fact of extracting the soul from a body through sealing art was something that only belonged to the category of Forbidden Jutsu.

"So, mind telling me, did you betray Konoha?" Kadoya continued to ask, now in a more playful tone.

This waste couldn't do anything to him.

"Tch! My uncle was right about you, evil Uchiha." Dan said with a disdainful smile.

"Heh?"

This tone... it sounds oddly similar to the naturally good Shimura who did everything for Konoha.

"You are Danzo's secret loved child?" Kadoya suddenly asks, causing Dan's smile to freeze.

"He is my uncle, my father is his brother." He quickly explained, not wanting to be labeled Danzo's secret loved child.

"Oh..." Kadoya was somewhat amazed by this sudden change.

In the original story, Dan Kato wasn't related to Danzo; however, here, they are somehow related.

"You are just mad at me because I cockblock you from getting close to Tsunade?" Kadoya couldn't help but mock.

"Why would I ever fall into the arms of an alcoholic, gambling addict woman like her?"

He answered coldly.

Kadoya just chuckled, realizing he wasn't after Tsunade because he loved her, but because he wanted to get close to her and control the Senju. This was his original plan and was probably abandoned in the future after he truly got to know and fell in love with Tsunade.

"I see, since you have no more use..." Kadoya said in a low whisper, smirking sinisterly. "Naori, would you mind helping me take out this trash?"

He asked, turning to see Naori was munching on sunflower seeds, watching the drama.

"Can't you extend this drama a bit more?" She asks while continuing to munch on sunflower seeds.

Kadoya: "Where the hell did you even get those?"

Dan: "Evil Uchiha, are you looking down on me!?"

Dan tries to strike Kadoya, only to find out that Battle of Sleeping Spirits forced him to fight a soul, not a body, so he couldn't take over Kadoya's body.

"Alright, fine." She said lazily, before standing up, spitting out the sunflower shell and drawing her sword.

She has grown tired of trying to understand Kadoya and his bizarre abilities; every time she tried, she would get a headache, so she has now decided to just roll with it. After all, he looks quite fun doing it, maybe she could also find some enjoyment in it, too.

"Tch! You even carry the spirit of an evil woman." Dan said, reaching for a kunai before realizing he couldn't, after all, he was currently just a spirit, and all his tools were with his main body.

So how the hell can she pull out a sword!?

Dan's expression grew wary as Naori charged toward him.

Kadoya simply ignored them before looking back with his Mangekyou, his eyes locking onto the shinobi guarding Dan's body.

Then Dan's body suddenly spat out blood, collapsing on the ground, with his soul killed, his body would naturally be killed along with the soul.

After all, Dan Kato is only a Jonin, probably a Special Jonin because his strongest ability is the Spiritualisation Jutsu, his rank probably came from his connection to Danzo.

Even his Spiritualisation Jutsu, a Forbidden Jutsu, was probably obtained through his connection.

Naori is an Uchiha who created Izanami, she also has the Mangekyou Sharingan. She is at least Kage-level, a simple Jonin who got his rank through connection, won't stand a chance against her.

The ninja guarding Dan's body were alarmed, seeing him collapse on the ground, his body turned cold.

"Are you going to do anything about them?" Naori asked, standing beside Kadoya, lazily chewing on a sunflower seed. Her tone was casual, but her eyes followed the unfolding bloodshed with a quiet intensity.

"There's no need," Kadoya replied, voice calm and detached.

At that moment, a blur of motion cut through the chaos, a blue ninja frog leapt forward, its water blade slicing cleanly through a group of Jonin and Chunin.

Naori let out a soft whistle, popping another seed into her mouth. "Not bad."

She wasn't like most of the Uchiha who teetered on the edge of the curse of hatred. Naori didn't waste emotions on people she didn't care about.

The village? It meant little. But her clan? That was a different story.

So when she saw Kadoya silently dispatching Konoha shinobi with his summoned creature, she didn't flinch. She didn't ask questions.

Those shinobi had raised their hands against an Uchiha. Against her kin.

Why should she care if they died screaming beneath Kadoya's blade?

Greninja's movement was deadly and swift, cutting their body into pieces and small chunks before letting the pieces fall to the ground, becoming another casualty of war.

Greninja cancels the summoning and disappears in a puff of smoke. Naori also returns to Kadoya's body before he turns and continues heading toward the Iwagakure camp.

The Iwagakure camp was quiet until one of the sentries narrowed his eyes, spotting a lone figure approaching from a distance.

"Hey… what the hell?" he muttered. "Someone's coming this way."

Another Iwa-nin looked up. "How many?"

"Just one. Male. Red robe."

The commander frowned. "Alone? Must be a scout, or a fool. Find out what he wants."

The sentries moved quickly, lining the perimeter. As the figure drew closer, they grew tense. His steps were slow, deliberate, unhurried, as if he had all the time in the world. Something about his gait sent a chill down their spines.

It felt… familiar.

One of the shinobi, who had barely survived a prior skirmish, suddenly went pale. His breath hitched.

"No… it can't be..."

A kunai was hurled, stabbing into the ground just ahead of the figure, marking the invisible boundary of the Iwa camp.

He stopped.

Then, with a faint smirk, he channeled chakra into his voice, projecting it across the field.

"Iwagakure!"

His voice cracked through the camp like thunder. Calm, clear, confident.

"I have you all surrounded!"

Confused murmurs rippled through the crowd of Iwa-nin. A few scoffed. Was he mad?

But those who recognized those words, those who had lived through the carnage he left behind, froze in place. Their eyes widened. Their bodies trembled. Some took an instinctive step back.

More shinobi rushed to the front lines, forming a defensive wall, weapons drawn, war cries rising.

The red-robed figure kept walking.

And then a strange blade of bone burst forth from his palm. It was white as death, curved like a fang, and etched with dozens of blood-red Sharingan eyes blinking to life across its surface.

He stopped just a few paces from the frontmost Iwa-nin, gaze burning cold.

"I am Kadoya," he declared, voice calm, even as a storm of chakra swirled around him. "The Blade of Konoha."

His eyes gleamed with certainty, and the earth itself seemed to hold its breath.

"And I… have never known defeat."
