Chapter 3 - CHAPTER THREE:

Today was the day he and McGonagall, along with a muggle-born or raised witch or wizard, get his and their stuff for their first year at Hogwarts. However, it not being Nicolas's first time at Hogwarts. It would be his first year as a student on the grounds. He got himself ready to head out with Mcgonagall when she shouted to him, "Come along, Nicolas, we have a lot to do for today", she told him as he walked out of his room and went towards the front of the cottage into the living room.

McGonagall was standing by the door in her usual green robes and black witches hat on her head her glasses placed gently on her nose as she looked over them at him "Nicolas come along now the student that will be accompanying us today is Miss Hermione Granger she's a muggle-born so do be respectful as it's Hogwarts reputation on the line" she told him, Nicolas knew better than to mess with her on this one he simply nodded and let her carry on"good now we'll apparate there so please hold on" she instructed him. It wasn't the first time Nicolas had travelled by Apparition, and it wouldn't be the last. As soon as he could, he wanted to learn the skill for himself.

He also knew unregistered amangus forms were illegal; however, after speaking to both Mcgonagall and Domboldor about it, if the dark lord should ever arise, he would learn the skill and keep it not registered until the dark lord is defeated once again. This was something no one wanted but both Nicolas and Ablus knew it was something that couldn't be avoided one day he might return and someone would have to rise to stop him and it shouldn't just be on one boy so Nicolas has devoted his life to this task as well in his forever quest in redemption for his family's sins.

As soon as they arrived outside the Granger residence, Nicolas was the first to notice they were in London. "This is convenient, not far from the leaking coldren", he noted to McGonagall, who nodded and walked to the door of the Granger's House. It was a nice house,to say the least, and even Nicolas was in awe of the looks of the house as only being a simple house, but the grangers had shown dedication in making it their home. Nicolas stood beside Nicolas as they waited for the door to answer as the door open not long after they had knocked they was Meet with a woman with bushy brown hair and brown eyes to match she was well in shape and had a ferm body she spoke with kindness in her voice "excuse me but can I help you two" she asked with mcgonagall replying "hello Mrs Granger I'm Professor McGonagall and this here is Nicolas we're here on the behalf of Hogwarts can we come inside to speak with you and miss Granger please" Nicolas never knew how mcgonagall could do it how she could be so kind but always straight to the point "Oh yes this way" Mrs Granger spoke clearly shocked "thank you" mcgonagall spoke as she stepped into the residence Nicolas followed behind her "thank you Mrs Granger" Nicolas spoke "aww it's alright your parents must be proud of what a polite boy you are" she said and Nicolas smile "she sure is" he told her as they walked Into the living room in the grangers house "one second let me get Hermione for you so you can begin" Mrs Granger spoke before rushing out to go get her daughter. "It's a nice place, mind you. I much prefer the cottage", Nicolas spoke to McGon gall ,who only smiled ."Yes, I can imagine ,so it is a lovely house the grangers have earned themselves," McGonagall told him as Mrs Granger and Hermione both came into the living room.

Nicolas and Hermione locked eyes. Her chocolate brown eyes met his icy blue eyes. He noticed her hair was much like her mother's, but she also had large front teeth, which he thought was cute but kept to himself.

Mcgonagall was the first to speak to the group "hello miss Granger I'm Professor McGonagall and this is Nicolas we're from Hogwarts the school of witchcraft and wizardry we spoke the other day and I'm here to help you get your supplies for your first year at Hogwarts" mcgonagall explained to Hermione who spoke "okay professor mcgonagall when would we be leaving" Hermione asked. Nicolas smiled he liked this girl already "well be leaving as soon as your ready" mcgonagall told her as Hermione nodded and raced out the room to get her belongings Mrs Granger spoke to mcgonagall "is there a way for us to transfer are money to your money" she asked "yes don't worry we'll have it all sorted Nicolas here will let you know how much it would be for it all" mcgonagall told her as she drank her tea that Mrs Granger made for her and Nicolas thought for a second before he spoke "it would cost you no more then £100 for all the necessary resources she'll need for hogwarts we'll go to gringots and extange that Into gellions that miss Granger will use for her hogwarts supplies" he told Mrs Granger and mcgonagall who found it hard to hide her pride in him.

Mrs Granger however, was surprised this was cheaper than she expected with Hermione's extra money as well she asked them "Would £200 be enough I know my daughter and she'll want to buy all the books she can" McGonagall was the one who responded first "that's fine dear its always good to find a student willing to learn much like Nicolas here who as a first year has a strong appetite when it comes to learning aswell" she explained to Mrs Granger who smiled knowing her daughter might be able to have someone she can befriend.

When they arrived at the leaking coldren mcgonagall was explaining more to Hermione about what it meant being a witch and what was expected of any student it left Hermione with a question "what about you are you a first year aswell" she asked Nicolas who nodded "yes I am I was raised by professor mcgonagall and would be attending hogwarts aswell" he told her "what's the muggle world like these days" Nicolas asked her as they walked through the pub "well it's great I guess just some people there aren't that great doesn't mean that all muggles are bad and what is a muggle exactly" Hermione asked Nicolas who only giggled at her confusion it was expected from a muggle-born but Still made him laugh "it's a person who doesn't have magic muggle or nomagi and there's us wizard or witch" he said gesturing to her "we can also imply the terms like magi or mage even warlocks and potion masters me myself I would like to be an auror it's are version of what you would call police" he informed her and Hermione smiled at him. He asked her a question he had since he met her mother "do you like to read" she was shy with her answer but still managed an "yes" before being quite again Nicolas smiled as they waited walked towards gringots bank with mcgonagall "so do I" he told her.

She looked at him shocked but let him carry on " I first started with wandless magic but at the moment Transfiguration is something I want to develop more with especially since it would help with becoming an auror" he told her and she had many questions for him and he happily answered them knowing what's it like to have a question left unsaid can often bug a person. They waited for McGonagall who soon returned and made their way to get their first items their wands making their way to Ollivanders Hermione was the first to ask"Why do we need wands If wandless magic is a thing" McGonagall looked at Nicolas before Hermione told her "because wandless magic is hard to master and wands are just to transfer and direct are magic" McGonagall told her before they walked Into the shop
