Chapter 307 - Chapter 311-315

Chapter 311 Electromagnetic Cannon

Even if Parasite was already on his last breath and curled up in the Net, Green Arrow still wouldn't loosen the Bow and Arrow in his Hand. He had heard Superman say that Parasite was a cunning enemy, and no matter what, he couldn't let his guard down against him.

Parasite didn't answer Green Arrow's question, only weakly mumbled something. Green Arrow and Speedy pricked up their Ears and listened carefully to understand what the other party was saying.

"En...ergy." Parasite's Voice was hoarse, just like a withered old man on the verge of death. It was hard to connect him at this moment with the agile Figure from just now.

Speedy drew an Arrow from his Back and poked Parasite on the Ground with it, saying, "He's already done for."

Green Arrow frowned. Seeing this, he loosened the drawn Bowstring, but at this moment, a sudden change occurred.

At the moment Green Arrow relaxed, Parasite's originally empty Gaze turned fierce, and his weak Physical Body suddenly swelled. The Net that wrapped him made a teeth-grinding creaking Sound, and then with a bang, it Snapped open.

Green Arrow's Gaze sharpened, and he drew the Bowstring fully again. However, he wasn't aiming at Parasite, but at the Ground beside his own feet. The Arrowhead suddenly exploded when it touched the Ground, releasing a thick cloud of Smoke.

Without a moment's hesitation, Green Arrow tapped his toes on the Ground, drew another Arrow, turned around, nocked it, and shot it towards a Building not far away. Along with the sharp Arrow, a sturdy Rope shot out, connecting the Arrow and the Bow. The Arrowhead lodged in the Building, taking Green Arrow and pulling him away at an extremely high Speed.

Green Arrow rushed out of the Smoke, and his Heart suddenly jumped, because he realized that only he had rushed out. Speedy hadn't followed him out of the Smoke. You should know that Speedy was personally trained by Green Arrow. Based on Green Arrow's understanding of him, Speedy would never stand there dumbly after he released a Smoke Arrow, unless he had encountered Trouble.

With a whoosh, the Smoke was blown away by a huge force. Green Arrow's Heart sank. The originally weak Parasite had now turned into a giant strongman about two meters in Height. His Right Hand was gripping Speedy's neck, and Speedy, who was being choked, was struggling non-stop.

"Let... go of me!" Speedy gripped the sharp Arrow he had used to probe Parasite earlier and used it to continuously stab at Parasite's grabbing Hand. Unfortunately, this had no effect. This ordinary Arrowhead couldn't pierce the other party's Skin.

Parasite ignored Speedy and only looked at Green Arrow, who was already aiming at him not far away, and shouted at him, "I advise you not to act rashly Green Arrow, or I will suck dry this little yellow hat's Energy."

Green Arrow didn't speak, but he did relax the fully drawn Bowstring. This wasn't because he was frightened by Parasite's Words, but because if nothing unexpected happened, they were probably going to enter a long standoff next, and Green Arrow was just an Ordinary Person. His stamina was limited and couldn't withstand the consumption of constantly drawing the Bowstring fully for aiming.

"Not bad." Parasite nodded slightly, obviously very satisfied with Green Arrow's actions. "Fortunately, your Assistant made you lower your guard, otherwise I really wouldn't have found an Opportunity to escape."

Parasite's Words were like Swords stabbing into Speedy's Heart. Speedy's original name was Roy Harper. He was a teenager with extremely strong self-esteem. Although he respected his adoptive father Green Arrow, he always had the Idea of wanting to surpass him. So, facing Parasite's Words, he wished he could shoot through the other party's mouth with an Arrow and make him unable to speak again.

"It was my judgment that was wrong." Facing Parasite's accusation, Green Arrow had a different Perspective. "I didn't expect that there would be so much Energy in your Body. The frequent Attack Events happening in Star City, where victims not only lost Money but also suffered from symptoms of weakness all over their Body, it seems the Mastermind is you."

"That's right, I did it." Parasite generously admitted. "When I first came to Star City, I was really too weak. In order not to attract your attention, I had to Disguise myself as Ordinary Crime, but I didn't expect you to still find out about me. It seems I absorbed too much, letting you catch my weakness."

After Parasite finished speaking, he looked at Speedy in his Hand again. This kid didn't stop even after being caught by him, hitting and kicking him, and constantly stabbing himself with that Arrow. It seemed he needed to teach him a Lesson to let him know what a Hostage should be like.

"Ugh aaaah!" Speedy screamed. He felt the Energy in his Body constantly draining away, while Parasite was absorbing pure Life Energy with an expression of enjoyment.

Green Arrow's Brow furrowed tightly. Suddenly, his peripheral vision seemed to catch something. Ignoring Parasite's previous Warning, he resolutely shot out the Arrow in his Hand.

The sharp Arrow split the Air and flew straight towards Parasite. Parasite grinned. Having just replenished his Energy, he didn't care about this level of Attack at all. He stretched out his Left Hand to grab the incoming sharp Arrow.

"Bang!" "Ah!"

After a muffled Sound, followed immediately by a scream, Parasite covered his Right Arm. Speedy fell powerlessly to the Ground. Green Arrow's Arrow was stuck in Parasite's Shoulder.

But this wasn't the Reason he let go. The real Culprit was the Bowling Ball rolling on the Ground. This Bowling Ball smashed into his joint with great force. The huge Pain made him lose Control of his Palm, and he had to let go of his Right Hand.

Before Parasite could figure out who had hit him with the Bowling Ball, thin white Electric Current surged out from Speedy, who had fallen to the Ground. Speedy flew backwards at an extremely high Speed.

Parasite looked in the Direction Speedy had flown away and only saw a strongman whose physique was not inferior to his, and even the degree of terror in his appearance was comparable to his own. He caught the other party with Arms thicker than Speedy's waist.

The strongman wore leather pants and boots on his lower Body. His exposed upper Body had several bolts embedded in his Body. Behind him were two Tesla Coil soaring into the sky, with Electric Current wandering between them. He looked just like Frankenstein's monster in Frankenstein.

"Who are you?" Parasite loosened his Right Arm and pulled out the sharp Arrow from his Shoulder. He glared fiercely at the Frankenstein, because thanks to the other party, the Energy he had finally absorbed had to be used for healing.

"You can call me Frankenstrike." Yang Le grinned, stretched out his Right Hand, and dense Electric Current wandered between his Palm. A Manhole Cover not far away was sucked towards him.

This was one of Frankenstrike's Energies. Electricity and magnetism are inseparable. Frankenstrike, who can Control Electricity, can also Control magnetism. He had saved Speedy earlier by using the Metal Arrow on his Body to pull him over.

The Manhole Cover floated in Yang Le's Palm. As Yang Le Controlled the magnetic force, the Manhole Cover began to spin rapidly, and Electric Current constantly surged out from it. The Manhole Cover, which was originally everywhere, had instantly turned into a formidable weapon that could not be ignored.

"I advise you to dodge." As soon as the Words fell, the Cannonball in Yang Le's Hand bombarded Parasite.

Chapter 312 Flash Timer Method

The constantly accelerated Manhole Cover was already unrecognizable. If it weren't for the Material of the Manhole Cover being unable to withstand higher Energy, Yang Le could have increased its Power by several more Levels. However, even if the Power didn't reach its Limit, the Damage caused by the Electromagnetic Cannon was already enormous.

Not to mention anything else, just the deep and long gash plowed into the Ground was already a Nightmare for the Road Administration Office personnel, not to mention the Electrical Appliances Equipment in the nearby Shopping Mall, which basically all suffered paralysis to varying degrees.

Yang Le was quite satisfied with the Power of this first Electromagnetic Cannon. Unlike the silly appearance of **Buzzshock**, to use this Super Hero well, you must use your little Head, and not be a brute like Ben.

However, it is a pity that the Alien Hero **Buzzshock** has been officially nerfed significantly, otherwise he should be the strongest except for those few cheating Aliens.

But even so, **Buzzshock's** Strength should not be underestimated. Extremely high durability, considerable Power, powerful attribute Damage, **Buzzshock** even has the reaction Ability to catch Flash and the agility not weaker than Rath.

It can be said to be an Alien Hero with very strong comprehensive Strength, capable of dealing with most battles. If it weren't for his daunting appearance, **Buzzshock** could be said to be an Alien without obvious Shortcoming.

The billowing smoke has dissipated. Although Yang Le had reminded him, Parasite obviously did not have the Speed to dodge the Electromagnetic Cannon. Although the Power of the Electromagnetic Cannon was not turned to the highest Level, Parasite still exhausted almost all the Energy in his Body to block this Attack.

But even so, Parasite was already battered and bruised at this time. After kneeling weakly on the Ground, he lost Consciousness. His Limbs were twisted to varying degrees, and it looked like he had Fractures.

"I think he's really passed out this time." Green Arrow came to Yang Le's side at some point, seemingly talking to Yang Le, but actually keeping an eye on Speedy in Yang Le's arms.

"I think so too." Yang Le handed Speedy in his arms to Green Arrow. "Speedy is fine, he should just be exhausted and passed out."

Green Arrow took Speedy and said, "This will happen after being drained of Energy by Parasite. He just needs to recuperate well afterwards. Let's not talk about this for now, thank you very much for your help, Buzzshock?"

"Just call me Yang Le." Yang Le said, putting his hands on his hips, intentionally showing the Omnitrix Symbol on his Belt. "I think the others in the Justice League should have mentioned me to you."

"Yes, Batman told me." Green Arrow pressed the Button on his waist. "I'm ashamed, I didn't even go to help you, but you came to help me."

"It's okay, Earth is not centered on me, there's no Reason for everyone to revolve around me." Yang Le waved his Hand, indicating that he didn't care.

"Thank you for your understanding." Green Arrow breathed a sigh of relief. Hearing the familiar roar of the Engine, he said again, "If you don't mind, let's talk about anything else when we get to my Arrowcave. This is not a good place to chat."

A war Car, entirely emerald green, as sharp as a sharp Arrow, drove at an extremely fast Speed, and finally braked sharply in front of them.

"Sorry, the Arrow Car is a two-seater, can you become smaller?" Green Arrow looked at the tall Yang Le somewhat awkwardly. It's not that his Arrow Car is small, it's that Buzzshock's Height of nearly three meters is really too extraordinary for Ordinary person.

"That's not a problem." Yang Le turned the Omnitrix and chose a new Alien Hero. White Light flashed, and Yang Le disappeared without a trace.

"Where did you go?" Green Arrow looked around. With eyesight far beyond Ordinary person, he seemed to see something less than a centimeter standing on his Arrow Car.

"Don't tell me that Black Dot standing on my Car is you."

"It's amazing that you can find me." Yang Le exclaimed in a thin voice. You really can't underestimate the Heroes of the world. As an archer who relies on eyesight, it was within his expectation that Green Arrow could find him.

That's right, the Alien Hero Yang Le transformed into was Grey Matter. The Ability of this Alien Hero is extremely simple, it is to shrink. Although his original reminder was already very small, theoretically Grey Matter can shrink infinitely, and shrinking to the nanometer Level is also very easy for Grey Matter.

"In my current State, we can fit in one Car, right?"

"Of course." Green Arrow said with a smile. "It's just that there are no children's seats in the Arrow Car, so you have to be careful."

"Please, this Joke is not funny at all." Yang Le flew into the Arrow Car with black lines all over his Head.

Green Arrow smiled and walked towards the Car. As for the defeated Parasite, of course it was handed over to the Government for disposal. It is estimated that in the end, he will either be locked up in Prison or join the Suicide Squad as cannon fodder.

After driving for a while, the Arrow Car drove into a secret Elevator, and after another operation of the Elevator, it finally arrived at Green Arrow's Arrowcave.

As soon as Green Arrow opened the Door, Yang Le flew out and transformed back into Human. Yang Le didn't know what Megalophobia meant until he transformed into Grey Matter. If it weren't for the Instinct of Grey Matter's original Race in his DNA, Yang Le estimated that he might never want to transform into Grey Matter again.

"What an amazing Ability." Green Arrow carried Speedy and placed the latter on a Bed, saying while his Hand movements did not stop. "Although it's very impolite, I'm still curious about your Superpower. Is this a Transformation like Shazam? Or a Transformation like Martian Manhunter?"

"It's kind of similar, but also not quite the same." Yang Le laughed. "My Superpower is like a combination of both of them."

In fact, the Ability of Omnitrix is more like Amazo Armor, or Beast Boy, but the former is a Villain, so Yang Le didn't mention it, and the latter Yang Le didn't find any Information about the other party during his RV/Motorhome trip these days. But thinking about it, it's also true, the Teen Titans haven't been born yet, these younger Heroes should still be in a State of not appearing yet.

Looking at it this way, although Yang Le doesn't know which DC Universe he is in, it should be a relatively young Universe. After all, Speedy hasn't even become Arsenal yet.

Speaking of this, Yang Le suddenly remembered a more Hellish DC Timer Method that his Friend mentioned, which is the Flash Timer Method. If Barry hasn't sacrificed himself, it means that the Timeline of this story is relatively early. If Flash is Wally, it proves that Barry is already Dead, and the Timeline is relatively late.

Seeing that Yang Le had no Desire to continue talking, Green Arrow didn't mention it again, but focused on treating Speedy.

Chapter 313: Beating Up Kids 2.0

Parasite, whether for Superman or the Justice League, were considered old rivals. Therefore, the Super Heroes in the Justice League, especially people like Green Arrow and Batman, had combat and treatment methods specifically for them.

Thanks to these pre-made preparations, Green Arrow easily treated Speedy. It was simple, nothing more than injecting some serum, used to consolidate and replenish the energy lost from Speedy's body.

Fortunately, Speedy was a Super Hero who had undergone long-term training, and the Parasite hadn't absorbed too much energy in order to threaten Green Arrow. However, even this level of absorption would leave an ordinary person weakened for ten days to half a month.

Although Speedy wouldn't be weak for that long, he certainly wouldn't be nimble for a week. What was absorbed was life energy, which was even more exaggerated than kidney deficiency.

"This kid can't attend parties for a week," Green Arrow said, walking towards the living area to the side and opening the refrigerator.

"Do you want something to drink? Beer? Cola? Or ice ginger juice?"

"Cola will do," Yang Le said, his brow furrowing almost imperceptibly when he heard the last drink Green Arrow mentioned. No one but Batman would drink that stuff, right?

"OK!" Green Arrow took out two cans of Cola from the refrigerator, tossed one to Yang Le, and took the lead in opening his and taking a sip.

Yang Le reached out and caught the tossed can of Cola, unable to help but raise his brow and say, "Nice throw."

This wasn't a compliment. Green Arrow's throw was highly accurate and powerful, allowing Yang Le to catch the Cola can while standing still and without any effort. Yang Le opened the Cola, and not even foam surged out. Under normal circumstances, Cola that had undergone vigorous exercise needed to be left to stand for a while before opening, precisely to prevent the Cola from spraying.

"Thanks for the praise, after all, it's my means of making a living," Green Arrow said, lifting his hood and taking off his mask, revealing his true identity.

"Oliver Queen!" Yang Le exclaimed in surprise, but Oliver waved his hand helplessly.

"Stop pretending, your acting is terrible."

"Really?" Yang Le was genuinely surprised this time. He was quite confident in his acting skills.

"Just kidding," Oliver took another sip of Cola. "I was just testing you, but seeing your expression now, I'm sure you do know my true identity."

Oliver finished his Cola in two gulps, crushed the can, and threw it into the trash can not far away, a perfect swish.

"Although I don't know how you know my true identity, as a senior, I'll give you a piece of advice: when you're not sure, a poker face is the best choice."

"Uh, okay." Yang Le scratched his head, who told him he was indeed tricked by the other party?

"There are many very smart guys in this world," Oliver continued, leaning against the wall. "Although they don't use their intelligence for good, it's undeniable that they are indeed very troublesome. Sometimes, even just a single expression can become the key for them to defeat you."

"Have you heard of the Joker?"

"I don't think anyone hasn't heard of him," Yang Le said seriously. That was the top dog of American Comics, a guy who had been in the top three of the villain ranking for a long time, and together with Batman, they were known as the black and white devils of American Comics. Joker was white (referring to skin), Batman was black (referring to the Dark Knight), and devil referred to the fact that both of them were mentally unstable (laughs).

"That's a very terrifying guy," Oliver said, folding his arms and tapping his finger lightly on his arm. "Just thinking about how old Bats might have to face that guy every day, I admire him. If it were me, I might have gone crazy long ago."

'Maybe Batman was crazy from the start,' Yang Le thought with a poker face, applying what he had just learned.

"Among all the bad guys who fit my description, the Joker is undoubtedly the most terrifying one," Oliver glanced at Speedy, who was still unconscious, paying attention to the latter's state.

"The Joker will find the softest part of your heart, and then use his twisted humor to cut it open, and even suggest sprinkling some salt on it, euphemistically calling it: a joke."

Oliver sighed and continued, "Fortunately, Batman has been suppressing him for so many years, but who knows how long this situation will last?"

Oliver's worries were correct. The Joker seemed to be living under Batman's cape like other villains, but when he felt bored, he would break this peaceful state and shatter the life that Batman had painstakingly glued back together.

"I'm very afraid that a villain like that will appear in Star City in the future," Oliver locked his gaze on Speedy, his gaze filled with gentleness and worry. "I myself am not afraid of any challenge, but I'm worried about Roy."

"When we were on a mission before, his good performance made me think I was just overthinking, but today's mission made me realize that he might indeed not be ready yet."

A trace of wavering appeared in Oliver's expression. When Roy was caught by the Parasite, a trace of fear actually appeared in his heart. Although Roy was only his adopted son, he had already regarded the other party as his real family.

"Hopefully, this injury will teach him a lesson," Oliver shook his head and let out a long breath.

Looking at this old father who was so worried about his child, Yang Le also fell silent. This kind of sincere feeling could always move people, but after a few seconds, his expression changed again.

"I have an idea," Yang Le, the newly promoted DC Idea King, said.

"What idea?" Green Arrow was a little dazed. Yang Le's train of thought was too fast, and he hadn't kept up with the other party's train of thought.

"I can help you train Roy," the corner of Yang Le's mouth turned up in a smile that was even harder to suppress than the Omega Beams. "Aren't you worried that Roy will lose his little life because of impulsiveness and arrogance? I think we can put on an act, and I'll come forward as the bad person to give him a profound lesson that he will never forget in this life."

Green Arrow stroked his beard, thinking about the feasibility of Yang Le's method. To be honest, this method was indeed feasible.

Green Arrow bringing Speedy on missions originally had the intention of training and helping the latter accumulate experience, but because the Supervillains were too dangerous, Green Arrow always protected Speedy very well, not letting him directly face too much danger. This conflicted with his original idea, which was putting the cart before the horse.

It wasn't that Green Arrow hadn't thought about asking some colleagues for help, but they were all too familiar with each other. Not only would Speedy not feel a sense of crisis, but even his colleagues wouldn't be ruthless, making the good training look like a game of house, completely ineffective.

But Yang Le was different. He wasn't a member of the Justice League, and Roy knew nothing about him, so he might really be able to play a training role.

'Wait.' Green Arrow paused, he suddenly thought, what if all the assistants in the Justice League participated?

Chapter 314: The Parents Are Enjoying Themselves Too

"That's the gist of it." Green Arrow stood in front of a large screen. This was the Arrowcave's super computer, which also served as a communicator.

"I feel Yang Le's suggestion is quite good. If we can have a simulation exercise without the Assistants knowing, it would definitely be a good experience for them."

"I think Oliver's suggestion is excellent." Flash (Barry) immediately agreed with Oliver's suggestion. "Wally's power has grown significantly, and he just needs an opportunity to adapt to his ability."

"What do you think, guys?" Barry looked at the others on the screen. Unsurprisingly, those who received Green Arrow's communication were all people who had Assistants.

"Sounds good." Aquaman (Arthur) readily agreed. "Aqualad isn't afraid of any challenge, even if the opponent has great speed."

Clearly, Aquaman, who hadn't witnessed Yang Le's other transformations, assumed Yang Le's superpower was also super speed. Perhaps not just him, but everyone present likely thought the same.

"I also have something to add to this point." Then Green Arrow recounted the business related to Parasite that had happened previously.

"That's the business. Although Yang Le didn't explain in detail, I suspect he has other forms."

"Isn't that even better?" Aquaman said with a smile. "That makes it more of a challenge, and it'll teach these kids that there's always someone better. I remember your Assistant is quite arrogant; I said he'd learn the hard way sooner or later."

Green Arrow gave a wry smile. Unlike Oliver's stern exterior, he was quite doting when it came to educating the younger generation—or rather, he was like that with everyone close to him.

"Thanks for the advice. Looks like I've been too lenient with him." Green Arrow then looked at Batman, who had been silent the whole time. "What do you think, Batman?"

"Agree to it, Green Arrow." Batman said expressionlessly, causing Flash beside him to shiver.

"Is it just my imagination? I have a feeling you have some ulterior purpose." Flash rubbed his arm.

"Yes." Batman readily admitted. "This isn't just an opportunity to train the Assistants; we can also use this opportunity to learn more about Yang Le, and perhaps even see his other forms."

"I hope you don't pull any stunts like sabotaging things right from the start this time." Flash looked worried. "You know, Cyborg is still sore about you giving him a virus the first time you met. Just so you know, the key point is 'first meeting'."

Batman was silent for a moment, then said, "Don't worry, not this time. I just want to collect more information."

'Better not be.' Everyone thought in unison.

"About this simulation exercise business, can I add a spot?"

This sound didn't come from the communicator; it appeared directly in everyone's brain. No need to guess, everyone knew who was talking to them.

"What's up, J'onn?" Flash asked, surprised. "You've taken on an Assistant too?"

"She's my niece." J'onn explained. "She also wants to contribute to peace, but she doesn't know how to interact with humans, so I think this is a valuable opportunity."

"Of course." Green Arrow felt there was no need to hesitate. "Fresh blood is always welcome, no matter where."

The others nodded in agreement. Their ideas were similar to Green Arrow's: a constant influx of new blood was the future of this world.

"So, how do we trick those little guys?" Aquaman asked, stroking his chin. "Forget about the others for now; the Bat family's kid is just like his parents—he's not easily fooled."

"Simple." Batman remained expressionless. "We'll gather them under the pretext of Independence Day, as we discussed. Then, we just need a reason—like knocking them out and dropping them in a suitable test area."

"Or we could just stage an act, simulate a scene where we're all defeated, and have them come to the rescue. There are many methods; the key point is to choose the right one."

"The old Justice League base would be perfect." Flash said, his excited face showing he was looking forward to pranking his Assistant.

"You mean Mount Justice?" Green Arrow stroked his beard, considering it. "Indeed. Don't let the 'mountain' part fool you; because it used to be our base, its structure is very solid. Even if things get a little rowdy, we don't have to worry about collapse, and it won't affect ordinary people."

"Then it's settled." Batman declared. "Don't tell the Assistants. Let's reactivate Mount Justice first, then find a reason to lure the Assistants there. The rest will depend on how things play out. Green Arrow, you're responsible for informing Yang Le."

"Understood." Green Arrow nodded, just as he was about to end the communication, Batman spoke up again.

"Oh, and remember to tell him, to avoid being recognized, he should try to use forms he hasn't used before, if possible, to prevent the business from being exposed."

"Yes, yes, yes." Green Arrow said, resigned. He understood Batman's words—wasn't it just to record more information?

After confirming no one else was speaking, Green Arrow finally ended the communication.

——————Divider Line——————

"What!" Kid Flash (Wally West) exclaimed excitedly. "You want me to attend a Justice League meeting?"

"Yes." Aquaman looked at the surprised Aqualad (Jackson Hyde). "This Justice League meeting is actually about you Assistants."

"So sudden?" Robin (Dick Grayson) was a little surprised. Before, no matter how much he probed or directly asked, he couldn't get anything out of Batman. Why the sudden change of idea today?

Batman didn't turn around, still tinkering with his gadgets. Without looking back, he said, "It's the idea of the others in the Justice League. It was put to a vote; I can't control this decision alone."

"I see." Speedy (Roy Harper), drenched in sweat, stepped off the fitness equipment. He was still in recovery training when he suddenly received Green Arrow's notification. He'd been surprised because, based on his performance a week ago, Green Arrow wouldn't have given him this opportunity.

"Honestly, I don't think you're ready yet, but I hope you can prove me wrong." ×4

"Of course, I will."

"I'll work hard in whatever way is needed."

"As a detective, you're never wrong with your guesses, but this time you're definitely wrong."

"I'll prove to you that your assessment of me is wrong!"

The next day, at Mount Justice, the Assistants met, led by their parents.

(End of Chapter)

Chapter 315: Young Heroes Meet

"Wow, it's really Justice Mountain!"

Kid Flash (Wally West) widened his eyes, constantly scanning the surrounding environment, his excitement visible to the naked eye. He was acting like a child coming to Science Summer Camp with his parents.

"I thought the Justice League had really shut it down. Honestly, I was really disappointed for a while. Whenever I had free time, I would come and check it out."

"Sort of." Flash gave an awkward but polite smile. Afraid of saying the wrong words, he decided to talk less today.

"It was indeed shut down for a while, but after a brief upgrade, it's been put back into use. After all, it's a waste to leave it unused."

Green Arrow walked over with Speedy at some point, explaining to Wally as he walked. He and Batman had long guessed that Barry wouldn't be able to handle this situation. Because of this, Bat had also instructed him to keep an eye on Barry and be careful not to let any message leak.

"I see." Wally suddenly understood, and then noticed Speedy next to Green Arrow, immediately shifting his attention.

"Uh, hello." Wally flashed in front of Speedy and extended his right hand. "My name is Wally West, I'm Flash's assistant, you can also call me by my hero name, Kid Flash."

"Roy Harper." Roy shook Wally's outstretched right hand, but his expression looked a little cold. "Hero name Speedy."

"You're Green Arrow's assistant, right?" Wally was a little nervous. The thought of possibly becoming a real superhero soon made him unable to control himself. To relieve his nervousness, he had to rely on talking. Roy, who was his age, seemed like a good conversation partner to him, so he consciously started looking for topics, thinking that starting from their common ground would be a good choice, at least that's what he thought.

Indeed, starting a conversation from common ground is undoubtedly a good start, but the common ground of being an assistant was not a good topic for Roy.

Roy frowned and said, "Not for long. After today's Justice League meeting, I will definitely become a real superhero. I think you're here for the same reason, right?"

Wally scratched his head. He didn't know why Roy had such a big reaction, but he still honestly replied, "That's right."

Whether it was an illusion or not, Wally felt that this newly acquainted friend didn't seem so easy to get along with, not the type he was good at dealing with.

Originally, Wally had been looking forward to it when Barry told him that there would be four assistants of similar age to him. He thought that maybe they would form their own team like Barry and the others, but Roy in front of him was a bad start.

'Hope the remaining three aren't all like this.' Wally prayed in his heart, and a smile, as awkward and polite as Barry's just now, appeared on his face.

"We're not the first ones here?"

A hearty sound came from behind. Oliver and Barry didn't need to turn around to know who it was. Turning around, it was indeed Aquaman Arthur, tall and mighty, leading a black-skinned youngster who looked young but whose physique surpassed his peers.

"Of course, the fastest is us." Barry smiled and patted Wally beside him.

"We left a little earlier." Green Arrow shrugged.

"Come on, Barry." Arthur laughed heartily. "You were the last one to arrive at the last Christmas party. I even suspect you tripped over a candy cane on the way."

"I was late because I had to persuade Batman to come to the party, okay?" Barry said helplessly. Being late for the Christmas party was already a matter of years ago, but Arthur always brought up old things.

"Besides, it's a very remarkable business, okay? You know that none of you dared to invite him back then, but I went, and I succeeded."

Barry proudly raised his head, looking quite smug. In Flash's opinion, being able to bring Batman to the Christmas party was more fulfilling than defeating any super villain.

"Actually, I was kidnapped by you." A cold sound came, and everyone felt like the room temperature had dropped several degrees. Wally even couldn't help but rub his hands.

Batman appeared behind everyone at some point. Robin Dick Grayson, who was with him, also tried hard to maintain the same cold expression as the former, provided that you ignored his ears perked up with curiosity.

'I was wondering where Bruce went that day?' Dick thought expressionlessly.

"Don't say that, Bruce." Barry waved his hand awkwardly. "Didn't you have a lot of fun that day?"

Batman didn't speak, just gave a disapproving look.

Green Arrow coughed softly, as if to help Flash out of the awkward situation. He looked around and asked, "By the way, where's J'onn? Why haven't we seen him? He's always the most punctual one."

"J'onn told me he'd be a little late." Batman withdrew his gaze locked on Flash. "It seems to be because of his assistant. It's her first time being in contact with so many humans, and she needs some mental preparation."

'She? Looks like it's a girl?' Dick caught the keyword. Don't look down on him as Batman's assistant, but for some unnecessary information, if he doesn't actively ask, Batman won't actively tell him. This is also considered indirectly cultivating Dick's detective ability.

After all, he's the assistant of the world's greatest detective. If he can't even overcome this little difficulty, how will he be able to stand on his own in the future?

But Martian Manhunter's assistant should also be a Martian, right? What would a Martian girl be like?

Thinking of Martian Manhunter's appearance, and then feminizing him in his brain, Dick couldn't help but shudder.

"We're here." A steady and gentle sound rang out. Martian Manhunter appeared in front of everyone out of thin air, bringing a girl with him.

Dick subconsciously looked at the girl next to Martian Manhunter, mainly to confirm his guess, and also out of curiosity about Martians.

The result was, completely different from what he thought. Unlike Martian Manhunter, the girl had a head of beautiful red hair. Her skin was the same green as Martian Manhunter's, but this couldn't hide the girl's original beautiful appearance at all. The few freckles on her face not only didn't ruin the girl's beauty, but also added a touch of cute to her.

"Sorry I'm late." J'onn expressed his apology.
