"I'll be waiting at the dining hall for lunch. Don't worry, you can take your time," Prince Alexander said at the door. Then, he turned around and left Odette in the room.
"W-wait, Your Highness—!" Odette tried to reach out to him, but the latter had already left.
Odette was soon surrounded by at least five maids who bowed politely at her, "You're our esteemed guest, Lady Odette. Please rest assured, we will prepare your bath immediately."
Odette was powerless as the maids closed the door, and started preparing the room for her.
Odette had to sit at the chair next to the huge window facing the garden and resigned to her fate.
'What is happening right now? Why am I inside the private palace of the Crown Prince? I shouldn't have trusted anyone in the human kingdom. They are all very crafty and sneaky,' Odette blamed herself for being so stupidly naive. She really thought that she was being smart by using Prince Alexander to enter the kingdom at first.
