Chapter 311: The Forgotten God and the Truth of the Seeds

When Xiao Qiang's spiritual power broke through into the Divine Origin Realm, a green-clad woman materialized within his spiritual sea. The moment she appeared, the spiritual forms of Tianmeng, Bingdi, and even Xuedi were instantly blocked—cut off as though someone had thrown a thick, impenetrable veil over them.

A sense of unease stirred within Xiao Qiang's heart, a fear of the unknown, but the spiritual projection of his consciousness remained calm and composed.

"I wonder what senior wishes to see me for?"

Xiao Qiang's spirit form cupped his hands respectfully and saluted the figure before him—a beautiful woman radiating a gentle yet commanding aura.

Mu Qingxue, Xuedi, and even Tianmeng were completely unaware of this spiritual intrusion. The fact that even Tianmeng and the Evil Emperor—whose spiritual strength were close to Divine Origin—were forcibly suppressed… left no doubt.

This woman was no ordinary god.

She was—a higher existence.

"You don't need to be afraid," the woman said softly. "I am only a remnant will. Even if I wanted to act against you, I couldn't. My current form is close to exhaustion."

Despite her words, Xiao Qiang didn't move out of trust—but rather resignation. He had already deduced that his situation mirrored when Huo Yuhao once met Tang San at Qiankun Wenqing Valley.

This woman had severed all contact between him and his soul spirits. If she truly intended to destroy him, he wouldn't stand a chance. Resistance would be futile.

If I'm going to die anyway, why panic?

Xiao Qiang felt a tinge of envy. Huo Yuhao, at 19, had just barely fought off two evil soul masters. Meanwhile, he—at only 17—had already clashed with Title Douluo and Super Douluo, and by 18, was fending off entire factions. Now, instead of meeting a friendly divine mentor, he faced an existence beyond even ordinary gods.

Why does my dungeon have to be on hard mode? he internally complained. Huo Yuhao's enemies were so much easier to deal with…

"My name is Life," the woman said, her voice calm but sorrowful. "Once… I was the Goddess of Life, one of the Five Great Gods of the God Realm."

"Once?" Xiao Qiang's brows furrowed.

Now was still the Douluo Dalu II era. Neither Gu Yuena nor Tang Wulin had yet inherited divine thrones. Tang Wulin hadn't even been born. So what was this "former" Goddess of Life standing in front of him?

If she were a fraud, how could she sever his Divine Origin-level mental link? But if she were genuine, then what did "once" mean?

"Indeed," she said, as if reading his thoughts. "I was the Goddess of Life. Let me show you why."

She moved close. Before Xiao Qiang could react, their foreheads touched—and in an instant, a torrent of memories surged into his mind.

A Memory from the God Realm

In the vision, a golden-haired man—holding the Sea God Trident—stood before a man and a woman. In his hands were two seeds pulsing with godly power.

"Gu Yuena," he said, "you inherited the Silver Dragon King's bloodline, yet maintained compassion. You once fought humanity to protect soul beasts, but you never lost your sense of justice. Now, for your immense contributions, I pass to you the inheritance of the God of Life. Do you accept?"

"I do," Gu Yuena replied without hesitation, bowing deeply in gratitude.

The man then turned to her companion. "Tang Wulin, you rebuilt Shrek Academy, fought the Abyssal Plane alongside Gu Yuena, and defended the continent. For your sacrifices and merits, I now bestow upon you the God of Destruction's throne. Do you accept?"

"I do," Tang Wulin answered solemnly.

Xiao Qiang didn't need introductions—he knew these three immediately. Tang San, the Sea God. Gu Yuena, the Silver Dragon King. Tang Wulin, son of Tang San.

But the memories did not stop there.

Inside the Seeds: The Betrayal

Xiao Qiang's spirit dove deeper—into the consciousness within the Seeds of Life and Destruction.

Within the Seed of Destruction, the shattered consciousness of the original God of Destruction raged:

"Damn it, Tang San! You deceived us… you even came here, where Xiao Lu and I reside!"

His power had faded. His roars, no longer heard. There were no other God Kings left. His final moments would be spent in silence—used as fuel for Tang Wulin's godhood.

In the Seed of Life, another voice cried:

"Xiao Zi… I'm sorry. I shouldn't have believed Tang San. I should've sided with you. If only we had promoted the expansion of the God Realm together, birthed more God Kings—maybe this wouldn't have happened."

"You still underestimate Tang San," the God of Destruction's voice answered. "Zhou Weiqing, the one I nurtured… he's nothing but Tang San's dog now. And now we… we are just stepping stones for his son and daughter-in-law."

"Even so… you must live," came her reply.

"Wait, Xiao Zi—what are you doing?!"

In a desperate act, the remnant consciousness of the God of Destruction burned itself, forcibly ejecting the remaining essence of the Goddess of Life from the Seed of Life, ensuring she wouldn't be fully consumed by Gu Yuena.

The Goddess of Life screamed his name in agony.

"No! Xiao Zi! I can't go on without you!"

Her voice echoed as her own soul began to burn—but unlike him, she had no plan. Her last traces burned away into nothing.

Or so it seemed.

Return to the Present

The images faded. Xiao Qiang stood silently before the green-robed woman.

It all made sense now.

"You… brought me here, didn't you?"
