She picked up the phone, glanced at it and felt a tremor in her heart; it was Atlas Hallow calling.
"Charlotte, where are you? What are you doing, not answering the phone for so long?" Atlas's tone seemed a bit anxious, a bit questioning, and somewhat irritable.
Where did she go? This man was really funny, she hadn't even asked him what he had been doing all day, yet he was the first to lash out.
"I'm at your apartment, went back to the Miller Family today, spent the whole day with my mom, I missed your call because I was taking a shower, do you need me to video call you?" Charlotte dared, but she guessed Atlas wouldn't dare.
Sure enough...
"No need. Something came up tonight, I won't be coming home. You should get some rest early." Atlas stood at the end of the corridor outside the ward, the dark sky reflected in his eyes, devoid of any light.
