Chapter 16 - Rightful Heir. (5)

On the other side, Lucien finally sat on the barons throne. Feeling free and young.

"Finally i am the Baron. Who is not fearing for his life live in constant pressure of dying."

Now that weeds on the house taken care of, he finally could sigh and breath properly. Waiting to hear about the good news of death of his first enemy on this world he calmly sat on the chair.

In front, servants and loyal guards were still cleaning the room of the dead bodies. Meanwhile, the merchants were boasting about his achievements, promising to spread word of his success throughout Dorwyn and beyond. Lucien didn't take their praise to heart—he knew all too well that these people simply sought power and wanted to stay close to the one now seated as Baron.

After all, the reality was clear—Argrave was a merchant city. Without the merchants, the name Argrave would hold no weight.

And it was the ruling noble family's duty to control those merchants, now that some merchant was actually leaved tugged their own tail meant there will be obvious change on the power structure on the city.

No matter how sweet their praise sounded now, once the chaos settled, their loyalty would remain questionable.

After all, hadn't they only rushed to the castle after hearing of his victory?

But soon, bad news came to him Baroness and her daughter successfully flee to unknown but luckily some Sally soldiers were captured.

"What" Lucien immediately flared up but soon controlled his anger.

"Today was full of up and down meeting will be continued tomorrow."

Seeing the merchants and other guests beginning to leave the council chamber, Lucien raised his voice just enough to stop a few in their tracks. He gestured toward the group of merchants who had actively supported him during the confrontation.

"You few," he said calmly, "stay behind. I intend to host a small gathering for those who chose to stand by me when it mattered."

At the same time, he turned to one of the knights nearby. "Send word to the patrol units—find out where that treacherous woman and her daughter have fled. I want eyes on every gate, every road, and every messenger leaving the territory."

....

"What an wild day it is" Lucien couldn't help but mutter under his breath, before he could let the baroness an room for treaty and submission she lost all of it, now only could live like fugitive on run.

Feeling great he softly sat on the bed on the Baron chamber. all of Sally soldiers and maids Are locked on the prison also the dual timer maids like Marina also on the prison bar, only some old maids are living freely.

Now that he is free he finally looked at the status screen panel

As he clicked on the shop icon three card like thing opened in-front of him

Looking at the system shop option he felt intrigue.

What did he need or what did he want to find he don't know yet, if he bought the card from shop wouldn't that mean he will have no use of that but he don't have any money for next two card, defeated he could only sigh and think for the future.

Now that nobody wants to kill him he could figure everything out slowly but surely.

"System! How to unlock the Chatroom"

[Host! don't need to think about it, when time came it will unlocked]

"Well! if you say so." It only been one and half day he transmigrated he don't want argue with system

Lucien leaned back, fingers steeples beneath his chin as cold resolve settled over his face. "Now that I wear the Baron's mantle, it's time to clean house—thoroughly."

He summoned Ser Ron. "Execute every guard who raised steel against me. No mercy. As for the Sally soldiers—Strip them naked in public than kill them publicly. Let the city know treason bleeds."

Ron bowed.

He still was felt bad about losing the evil baroness and her daughter, doing this will also decrease his blood-lust and anger from his failure.

Lucien turned to a scribe. "Draft an envoy. Send men to the Hurnor Castle of Bloodsister. Find out if my father's alive. If he is... alive escort him 150 Gold Dragon if death 20 gold Dragon, put a bounty on Rafael, Dead or alive 100 Gold Dragon."

Lastly, he signed a decree. "Imprison every maid and chef who mocked or starved me. No exceptions."
