The horror did not stop at Hildr just being cut into pieces. The recording went on for thirty more minutes. In this time, Stevens stood to the side and watched everything in silence. Hildr had been cut up, but she was still conscious. Her face was distorted with pain, and her eyes were red, but she did not scream out even once. She just stared at the world as though this was to be expected from this place. The piece of her body that had her legs was on the floor, but after a few seconds, it began wiggling as it moved to reunite with the upper part.
The entire scene was very disturbing. The lower part grew tendrils of blood that allowed it to claw its way back to the upper part. It raised itself from the floor until it came in contact with the upper part. The two pieces began knitting themselves back together, and after just a few minutes, Hildr was back to being a single piece.
Some people who saw this could not stop themselves from vomiting immediately.
The video ended here, but no one switched off their televisions. They were glued to the screens as though waiting for someone to tell them that this had been nothing more than a prank.
In the Draugr Domain, King Harald stood on one of his balconies and looked towards the academy.
The skies darkened as thunder and lightning made the world tremble. This was the wrath of the Night King.
His power spread all over the world, and all who felt his power understood his rage. They understood the terror he was about to unleash upon this world.
Back in the academy, Uluf, who had been searching for Hildr even before the news, immediately fell on his knees.
"This servant has failed you. I deserve death," he cried out with his head bowed. There were a few students next to him, and when they saw this, they were shaken. He had been interrogating them just a few seconds earlier, and now he was speaking to the air with his head bowed in deference. Just when they were about to think him mad, there was a change in the world. The earth trembled slightly, and before anyone knew it, a pond of water appeared before Uluf. The water bubbled as it came together to form a figure. Soon, this figure turned into King Harald. The moment the students laid eyes on him, they scattered like rats. On Lemuria, everyone knew who the Night King was.
He was a figure of darkness and fear.
His merciless nature known to all. The king looked at his Vizier with disappointment; he had sent Uluf to this place hoping that something like this would not happen.
Uluf was his most trusted and powerful follower, and this had allowed King Harald to mistakenly believe that Hildr was safe with him around.
Bang, he kicked the man with so much power that he was sent flying through the compound. He collided with a building and passed through the hard concrete walls.
At this moment, another figure appeared out of nowhere. This person used second step, with the element of wind, to appear.
"Flavia Audax," said the king.
"Harald the Crazy," she replied.
No one had used this name to call the king in a long time. Some people had even forgotten that this used to be the king's moniker.
"If you have anything to do with this mess, I suggest you tell me now. This way, I can still have some pity while ripping you to pieces," he said.
His words were chilling, and his murderous intent clear to all.
The principal still had the guts to smile at the king.
"Do you actually think you have the power to do that?" she said with mockery in each word.
"You could have easily killed me in your prime, but that was thousands of years ago. Your fading is near. I suggest you run back to your palace and enjoy your last days."
The principal clearly hated the king.
King Harald was a real king, and he would not stand for his honour to be insulted as such. He stood upright with his eyes now glowing with the promise of slaughter. He was willing to kill everything in this academy. If need be, he was even willing to start a war that would engulf the entire continent.
He was such a man, and when Flavia saw the look in his eyes, she remembered that she was not dealing with some common street hoodlum but a king with the desire for blood and death.
He was the thing feared to be lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike anyone who showed weakness.
At this moment, another figure appeared by way of second step, using the fire element. This person's power was clearly more terrifying compared to the principal's. This was the Premier, the de facto ruler of Lemuria.
He appeared between the two people.
"Fuck," he cursed out loud. He had hoped to arrive before things reached this level, but he was still too late.
"I welcome the Night King to the Dragon City. The Sol King sends his regards," said the Premier.
His words contained a warning. He reminded the king that he was in the Sol King's territory, and the Dragon City was not the place to begin a war.
Hmmmmph, King Harald snorted in disregard; he did not seem to care about the warning. In fact, his anger seemed to be rising even more.
"My daughter is far more precious than your stupid city. If I have to wipe it off the map, so be it," said the King. The sun was swallowed by a darkness, and day turned to night.
This was all over Lemuria and even in some parts of the Human lands.
The Night King was angered, and his wrath was about to render the world into nothing but darkness.
Nothing would stop him from getting Hildr back. Even the threat of the Sol King was not enough. Even though he understood that he was indeed no longer in his prime, he was still the Night King, and he had the blessing of the primordial Goddess, Nyx.
He was still powerful enough to kill the Premier and the principal before going on a rampage to render all into blood.
His blue eyes glowed with the endlessness of a vast ocean.
The Premier was stunned by this reaction from the Night King.
