Camille was the first to look away as she could not hold Shane's gaze.
Shane, on the other hand, cleared his throat before looking at Asher who smiled sheepishly.
"Aunt, Shayla, let's head home," he said to them. He didn't bother to comment on Shayla's words.
This caused Asher to breathe a sigh of relief, while Shayla twisted her face. She was expecting her brother to stand up for her.
"We should also get going as well, Cam," Asher said to her, and she nodded.
The ladies said their goodbyes, and they all went their separate ways, not without Shane giving Camille one last glance which was noticed by Clare.
She smiled meaningfully as they all exited the cafe.
Thirty minutes later, Asher and Camille arrived home, and they met Ethan seated on the sofa, a phone in hand, with documents on the table.
Both of them exchanged glances. They knew that they were in the wrong. After all, they had arrived home late.
Ethan raised his brows seeing the shopping bags in Camille's hands.
