Chapter 51 - Weekday Dungeon Part 3

"Whoa! Meat!"

"I can't believe it!"

"Is this really happening?!"

The dining hall was in an uproar once dinner was served with meats instead of potatoes.

Since it was wolf meat, the taste could not compare to chicken or beef.

But wolf meat was still meat.

It was still a great change of pace from potatoes.

We did catch some fishes. But they were mainly used as broth ingredients while the grilled and fried ones were reserved for us in Party 1 and the craftsmen.

So not all of us got to enjoy them.

"I suppose there was a decent reward for clearing the fifth floor."

Shanny said as she dined on her elevated meals.

She was referring to the fact that the Weekday Dungeon, where we got the food ingredients, was only available to us after completing the fifth floor trial.

"That plateau was a really nice place. It reminded me of home."

Jonah said with a smile.

Although they found the wolf pack around the river, apparently Jonah's party did not encounter the giant wolf during their entry into the Weekday Dungeon.

I supposed such special monster would not always appear whenever we access such place.

But Jonah's trip was not entirely fruitless.

Jonah told me that the Dara flowers were still abundant once they arrived. So was the wheat and corn field. As if they were untouched.

Apparently the material supply inside the dungeon got reset whenever a new party entered.

This would mean we could keep gathering materials as long as we keep sending people to the dungeon.

Master immediately left once Jonah's party returned.

However, the fairy said we could enter the Weekday Dungeon even without master's command.

That being said, a person could only enter the Weekday Dungeon once a day. It was the condition the fairy told us.

I asked if it was possible for someone to enter the dungeon more than once in a day and the fairy was hesitant to answer. Saying we should figure that out ourselves.

I could only guess that the answer was yes and that there was a condition we needed to fulfill first.

"Well then, you two enjoy your meals."

I said to my comrades while leaving the table.

"Huh? Leaving already?"

"Are you turning in for the night?"

I shook my head upon the question.

"I want to check on the potion ingredients in the storage. I want to see exactly how much of them we have since I plan to start working on them tomorrow morning."

"Do you need help?"

"Don't worry. You two just continue on with your dinner. I'll see you guys tomorrow."

Without exchanging any more words, I left the dining hall and made my way to the storage.

Once inside, I checked on the several large sacks where the Dara flowers were kept.

From the two trips to the plateau, we managed to acquire around 500 flowers.

There were also about two barrels of plateau water, or Padang water, collected.

We still needed two more key ingredients to make health potions, which were Tawa mushroom and Surya dust.

But from the flower supply alone I could estimate how much potion I could make.

From 500 flowers we could make twenty vials of basic health potions. Or five vials of intermediate health potions. Or half a vial of advanced health potion.

For safe measures, one person would at least need two vials of basic health potion every time they went to battle.

Five people per party would mean at least ten basic health potions would be needed every time a party went into a trial.

Considering how frequent master sent us to the trials and assuming a party consumed all potions per trial, we would need thousands of Dara flowers a day to keep supplying a single party with potions.

Aside from those with the supporting duties, there were about 30 combatants in the lobby. The combatants in question were those that master kept sending to the trials.

That would mean there were at least six parties available in the lobby.

We would need to have enormous supply of ingredients if we wanted to equip all of these parties with health potions every time they went on a mission.

In order to have sufficient supply of ingredients, we would need people who would gather them.

And currently we were just talking about the ingredients for health potion only.

We still needed to gather food and materials for weapon as well.

We would need everyone's cooperation to gather all the necessary materials for the lobby from the Weekday Dungeon.

"This is heaven!"

A man's voice echoed from the square.

I looked out from the storage's window and found a couple of people hanging out at the square's benches.

They were the combatants from the makeshift parties.

"Back home I had to work hard to get food on my table. But here I got people preparing my meals for free."

The man said to his friends.

"We got synthesis in here though."

"Big deal! Master only do that to the fools who disobey master or those that simply did nothing. All we need to do is pretend to train whenever master is watching and we'll be fine."

"But what about the trials? We still need to train to kill those goblins."

"They got easier to deal with once you are used to them. Especially after you levelled up. But just make sure you don't look too good at killing them either."

"Why? Shouldn't we do well in battle so master won't synthesize us?"

The man suddenly gave a cold stare to his friend.

"Are you stupid? If we became strong, master will put us into party 1 and we'll have to fight difficult mission like that horrible fifth floor. Do you wanna die like that old man and the hunter chick? Haa, shame that pretty lady had to die. The big guy could go to the depths of Tsamudra for all I care."

"True. But won't master just be sending us to the fifth floor anyway?"

"That'll be stupid. What chances do we got when someone as strong as that lady mage struggled in that trial? Master won't send us to those difficult fights."

"Really? We won't have to go to the fifth floor?"

"I heard from Trudy that our goal in this place is to reach the 100th floor. And it doesn't necessarily mean all of us needs to clear every trials. Otherwise master will be sending the cooks and the craftsmen to the trials too."

"Then who is supposed to clear all of those trials?"

"I'm sure that's what Party 1 is for. They are meant to climb the tower in behalf of all of us. Master is only sending the rest of us to the trials to see who is strong enough to be put in Party 1 in case they lost a member or two."

His fellows cheered up with suspicious smile.

"I see! So we don't really need to work hard, huh?"

"Exactly. There is no point in that. Just make sure you don't stand out and master will leave you alone. We do that and we'll be able to live our lives here comfortably."

I had to give the man some compliment in reading master's intention.

But I did not like his attitude considering what I was just thinking about how we should work together in supplying materials to the lobby.

I would very like to confront them immediately and readjust their mindset.

But I would put my faith on master for now.

It did not take long to discover that my decision was not in vain.
