His emerald-green hair shimmered in the morning light filtering through the stained-glass windows, and his pink eyes glinted with something unreadable as he turned to Nina.
"The emperor wishes to meet with you, Lady Nina. He has expressed… curiosity. And caution. He believes it is wise to speak with you personally."
He said with a courteous bow.
Nina blinked, caught off-guard.
"The emperor? Me? Why?"
Horus smiled, though it didn't quite reach his eyes.
"His Majesty has a sharp instinct. He is rarely wrong. Your presence here has unsettled the divine balance of this temple. As such, he would like to ensure you are not a threat."
Before Nina could respond, Hwan stood abruptly, frowning.
"What about me? Should I get ready too? I've got clothes—better ones."
