Chapter 69 - Chapter 69

The moment Kurohane stepped through the portal, a dark green blade slashed towards his head. The gleam of the steel sliced through the air, almost imperceptible.

"System, use Character Experience Card: Da Wa," Kurohane murmured.

[Character Experience Card: Da Wa (Incredible strength! And he can also grow larger!)]

Under the influence of Bullet Time, Kurohane clearly saw the blade's trajectory. He tilted his head, avoiding the fatal slash with perfect precision, then reached out and firmly grasped the back of the hovering blade.

The woman holding the knife, none other than Sylvie, tugged hard twice, but found she couldn't pull the knife away from Kurohane's hand at all. Frustration and confusion were clearly etched on her face.

"Since when did Kamar-Taj wizards have such immense strength? This is completely unscientific!" Sylvie exclaimed, shocked.

"What do you know about wizards? Are wizards who can't perform Whirlwind Slash or Jump Attack still wizards?" Kurohane snatched the blade from Sylvie's hand and held it lightly. It wasn't very heavy, or rather, for Kurohane in his current condition, it was indeed not heavy!

Immediately after, Steve with his shield and Tony in his Iron Man suit also emerged from the portal. Tony looked at the woman dressed exactly like Loki, his eyes filled with unbearable curiosity.

"Kurohane, is this a female version of Loki? I have to admit, she looks much cuter than Loki!"

Kurohane: (disgusted expression). It's already abnormal enough if you think Loki is cute! You've never heard of the guy on the cover of Playboy magazine, have you? Is that true? Please don't tell me you'd sleep with someone just because they're on the cover!

"State your name and purpose, or I will take action against you," Kurohane said to Sylvie, his voice firm. He gripped Sylvie's sword with both hands and snapped it in half like a chocolate bar, then threw the pieces to the ground.

The two pieces of the blade clanged loudly on the floor and everyone present subconsciously swallowed. Bending a metal blade wasn't too difficult, but snapping it directly—with bare hands?!

Was Kurohane truly a real wizard? A wizard who studied under Gandalf and could single-handedly wield a two-handed sword to duel against a Balrog?!

"My name is Sylvie, just think of me as Loki from another universe." Sylvie stared at the broken blade on the ground, cold sweat trickling down her forehead. Kurohane's actions were too abstract, she didn't know how he did it!

"I'm evading pursuit from the Time Variance Authority (TVA), and conveniently, Earth in your Universe, will be destroyed during the Chitauri invasion, so no other timelines will be created. That way, I won't be caught by the TVA people, and I haven't done anything yet!" Sylvie explained, her tone containing a hint of desperation.

Kurohane frowned, it seemed things were indeed similar to what he had thought. This world was definitely not the main Marvel Universe, so things that didn't happen in the main Universe would definitely happen. For example, his own appearance!

"Kurohane! I'm leaving this to you, I have to go down and save people!" Steve saw the Chitauri soldiers causing uncontrolled damage on the street and couldn't stand it any longer. No matter what this female Loki in front of him said, he couldn't just stand and watch.

Kurohane opened a portal, rushed in, then came out a second later. Through the portal, Steve saw a taxi flying out of the building, the taxi dropped a large number of Chitauri soldiers, and there were clear footprints on the taxi door!

Steve: (shocked). This isn't Gandalf anymore, Kurohane is a humanoid Balrog!

Steve didn't have time to think further, he grabbed his shield and charged into the portal. Soon, the sound of fighting erupted, and from behind him, Kurohane felt incredibly happy. A veteran frozen for 70 years returning to the battlefield was better than having to painfully adapt to an era that wasn't his. Although his opponents now weren't Nazi Hydra, he still found meaning in his existence, which was quite good!

By this time, Tony had changed into a new Iron Man suit, Kurohane couldn't name the specific model. Anyway, it wasn't the Mark 6 from the original timeline, and it had already started using some nanotechnology when worn. Although it didn't use many nanobots, its joints were already connected with nanobots. Used but not fully used, the suit evolved but didn't fully evolve. But, it was still much more comfortable than the previous suits that required mechanical assistance to wear. It seemed the data obtained from that alien spaceship allowed Tony's current level of technology to increase rapidly.

"I'll help too, Kurohane, hurry!" Tony yelled from behind his helmet, already prepared to rocket off.

"Okay."

Tony didn't exit through the portal, but instead flew directly out the window, shooting into the Manhattan sky. Then a volley of missiles appeared, accurately hitting the small Chitauri spacecraft flying in front of him. Fireballs erupted one after another at the top of Stark Tower, and the wreckage of the spacecraft rained down onto the streets below.

At this moment, Thor also appeared, carrying Mjolnir in his hand. After exiting the portal, he looked at this alternate-dimension sister with curiosity. Compared to his brother who attacked him daily, this sister was somewhat cuter!

"Thor, you deal with the Aliens outside first, this is all Loki's fault. If you want to reduce his sins, you'd better kill a few more Chitauri. As for your alternate-dimension sister, I'll ask the master to look after her for a while." Kurohane was truly busy today, he hadn't used portals so often since becoming a wizard.

After closing all the portals, he immediately opened a portal in front of the Ancient One, at Kamar-Taj.

"Miss Sylvie, don't force me to be rude, go in yourself."

The Ancient One tilted her head and smiled at Sylvie, a soothing, wise smile, then gently waved her hand towards her. Sylvie didn't hesitate at all, after all, Kurohane hadn't shown any malice towards her. Having the Ancient One, this Universe's Sorcerer Supreme, look after her was more like finding the safest place on Earth for her.

The Ancient One didn't ask who Sylvie was, she just calmly poured her a cup of tea. Then she reached out and closed the portal Kurohane had opened, and this movement stunned Kurohane!

Is this the power of the Sorcerer Supreme?! Without wearing a Sling Ring, she actually controlled a portal opened by someone else! This is like someone opening your front door with ramen noodles without having your house key, and also opening your safe door, and even using those ramen noodles to lock your front door before leaving!

It was only at this moment that Kurohane realized the gap between himself and the Ancient One might be even greater than the knowledge reserve gap between himself and Tony!

Now wasn't the time to deal with Sylvie's problem, she could just be with the Ancient One for now. The most important thing now was to harvest the Justice Points fluttering everywhere outside!

Kurohane had just finished two stretching exercises when Tony's anxious voice came over the radio:

"Kurohane!!! Are you done yet? There's a flying whale out there!" Tony's voice broke Kurohane's concentration, announcing a new threat far greater than anything they had faced so far.
