Stella had been bedridden for the past few days, as the doctor advised her to rest due to her unstable pregnancy.
"Where's Hyland Riley? Hasn't he come back yet?"
Ever since the incident at the hospital, Stella felt that Hyland's behavior was a bit off. It seemed like he was wary of her pregnancy, going along with everything she said.
"Sir will be back soon, ma'am. The herbal medicine for the baby is ready. I'll bring it to you," the housekeeper said cautiously, her voice softened to avoid upsetting Stella's fragile nerves.
Stella nodded, "Please bring it over."
Watching Stella finish the herbal medicine, the housekeeper finally breathed a sigh of relief and hurried off to prepare dinner.
Hyland Riley returned home, his expression still sour, radiating a tense aura that warned others to keep their distance.
"Sir, ma'am was asking about you earlier. She didn't seem to be in a good mood," the housekeeper informed him.
