Lucas rubbed his head where Nami had just punched him. His Shadow Clone and Transformation Jutsu had been dispelled by her fist.
"Why'd you hit me, Nami?" he asked, feigning innocence.
Nami clenched her fists, glaring at him before a sly smile crept onto her face. "You violated my privacy. From now on, your allowance is the same as the others'."
Turns out, one of Lucas's shadow clones had transformed into Nami earlier, something she did not appreciate.
Without hesitation, Lucas dropped to his knees and clutched her leg dramatically. "Nami, no! It was just a joke! I swear I'll never do it again!" Tears welled up in his eyes, his acting skills were at their peak.
But Nami wasn't having it. She'd been waiting for this moment. "Too late. My decision is final. No amount of begging will change it."
Just then, Usopp pointed at Sanji, who was lying face-down on the deck. "Uh… is he okay? He's bleeding a lot."
Sanji suddenly sprang up, wiping his nose with a dreamy sigh. "I'm fine. Just had… a beautiful dream. A very beautiful dream." He straightened his suit, pretending nothing had happened.
"Hey, looks like there's a town up ahead," Sanji said, lighting a cigarette and nodding toward the horizon.
"A town?"
Everyone turned to look.
Nami checked her map. "That's Loguetown, the gateway to the Grand Line."
Excitement buzzed through the crew. Their journey through the East Blue was nearly over.
Lucas crossed his arms. "Loguetown's legend. The Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, was born here… and executed here. This is where the Great Pirate Era began."
Luffy's eyes sparkled. "I wanna see the execution platform!"
Sanji exhaled smoke. "A town this big must have fresh ingredients. I'm stocking up."
Zoro glanced at his single sword. "I need two more blades. Time to hit the weapon shop."
Usopp adjusted his slingshot. "I'll check the equipment stores."
Lucas thought for a moment. "Guess I'll grab some clothes. I'm tired of borrowing Nami's."
Nami's grin turned dangerous. "Oh? Shopping for clothes? Perfect. We'll go together."
Lucas froze. That tone never meant anything good.
Before he could refuse, Nami's glare silenced him. He sighed. "…Fine."
Once docked, Luffy bolted off the ship before anyone could stop him.
"Luffy! We need to set a meeting point first!" Usopp shouted, but the captain was already gone.
Lucas shrugged. "He'll be fine. Let's split up and meet back at the port later."
Everyone agreed and scattered except Lucas, who was immediately dragged off by Nami.
Six clothing stores later, Lucas was buried under a mountain of bags.
"Nami… please tell me you're done," he groaned.
She smirked. "Aren't you a man? Half these bags are your clothes. And since you're not paying, the least you can do is carry them."
Lucas gaped. "Your clothes take up most of these!"
Nami feigned innocence. "Oh? I didn't hear you complaining when people mistook you for a woman earlier."
"That's because I'm wearing your dress!"
She shrugged. "You're free to buy men's clothes. I won't stop you."
Lucas glared. "With what money?"
Nami's eyes gleamed. "I could lend you some… at 300% interest."
"You're a devil."
In the end, Nami bought him a few outfits, out of pity or guilt, he wasn't sure.
'Note to self: Get my own money. Control the finances. Survive.'
Passing the Marine base, Lucas spotted Zoro inside… mopping the floor with three mops.
"Wait, why's he...?"
Nami yanked him back and pointed at the bounty posters on the gate. Among them was Lucas's face, half-buried under Luffy in the photo.
"You're a wanted man now," she whispered.

Lucas sighed. "Well… I also want a photo at the execution platform."
Nami rolled her eyes. "Fine. But first, put these bags on the ship."
She handed him another stack of shopping bags.
Lucas staggered under the weight. "How many clothes do you even need?!"
Nami stretched, grinning. "A lady's wardrobe is never complete."
Lucas groaned. "Women are trouble."
