after one week..
It's been a week since Raziel came into this world, and he's been behaving a lot like an aristocrat - he's been attending noble parties and participating in archery, horseback riding, and beast hunting. In just a week, his name has become well-known among the people. He's the youngest son of a marquis, after all. He has to socialize with other people in order to stay here, and he knows that - that's the most important skill he needs in order to survive. And furthermore, by socializing with other people, he can learn more about Louise Griffiths since it is a topic that always generates a lot of interest at gatherings, second only to Lucas Earhart
He sits on the couches inside of his room, glancing at the dozens of letters that were placed on the desk. Most of them are engagement letters, which makes him sigh. He then stands up and throws everything away to the trash bin.
There's a reason why he became famous so quickly—it's not because of how good his socializing skills are or how friendly he is towards others, but because most people find him difficult to approach.
He had a mysterious aura around him, and he was undeniably attractive. His beauty could even compare to the son of the Duke. Who's girls could resist such a person?
Soon, he heard someone knock at the door. He just said, "come in" while standing in front of the window and admiring the scenery where two crimson moons and a lot of stars are shining in the night sky. The door opened, revealing Cale wearing a black waistcoat. He's holding a silver tray, and on that silver tray, there was a white invitation, inlaid with gold patterns on the side with the stamp of two griffins on the center that symbolizes the crest of the viscount house.
"An invitation came for you, my lord. It's from mr. Louise Griffiths, he invited you to attend on his son's 17th birthday tomorrow night which is Adel Griffiths as well as to celebrate him for being successfully enter in the noxus academy and placed fourth in overall examination."
'So he has a son.. huh?' he thought to himself, at this point he couldn't help but giggle, making Cale frown in confusion.
"His son... do you know anything about him?" asked Raziel.
"I haven't seen him yet, but there are rumors about him being the son of a prostitute and the big mistakes of the Griffiths family. Others say he is not, as he has a gentle and calm personality resembling the aristocrat. But here's one thing I'm sure of. Adel Griffiths is quite an ambitious person. " Cale replied politely, narrowing his blue eyes at the young Master to gauge his reaction.
Raziel laughed again, "I see. Like father, like son. eh? I would like to see Adel Griffiths and decide if he's worth dealing with or not. Is that what you want me to do, right?" He gave Cale a smile, but he bowed formally in response.
"...I will not let myself lead the Young Master without his permission."
Raziel didn't answer him anymore and changed their conversation, ".. is Lucas Earhart invited too?"
"... yes. "
Raziel has been watching Lucas for a week, and has even hung out with him from time to time thanks to Cyrus Embers, who keeps pestering him. Of course, there is a reason why he can't leave him alone; although he is strong enough to wipe out one village, that is basically the reason why he has to watch him closer. After all, Lucas' soul is worth a hundred million wishes, who wouldn't tempted to that? it's one of the requirements he needs in order to return back to his world.
..unless they have a customer who wants to slaughter a village of hundreds of people, then maybe that's possible.
Which is why, the requirements are frustrating him, it's clear that the Library doesn't want him to be free, but he has no choice, as this is the only way to go back to his world.
It's now or never. If he had to dirty his hands to kill people and become the most wanted criminal in the world in order to go back to his own home, he had to do it. Besides, can he even be called a human now? He can make miracles and he's powerful enough to destroy five territories if he wanted to. He should use this power that's been given to him.
"...I see, you may go now. " he just added so Cale bowed once again to him before leaving the young Master's room and closing the door.
Meanwhile, Raziel went back on his couch and sat there before taking the white invitation and reading its content. 15 minutes later, he finished reading, so he just put it in front of him and clasped his hand together while staring at it.
"hmm.. tomorrow, huh?"

in the morning..
as soon as Raziel went out on the carriage, he just glance above the sky, it still cloudy as ever due to the smoke coming from the house chimneys and steam locomotives as well as factories. the two crimson moon were still visible even though it is morning and the whole city was still lively.
even until now, Raziel couldn't believe that he was actually living in this world. it still feels like a dream for him even if it's been a week. Sometimes, he couldn't help but to overthink and thought himself as a main character with overpowered skills who was tasked to protect this world against evil just like what he often read in fantasy novels.
it is just a relief that—that wasn't his case. after all, He prefers to be an observer rather than to be an actor. Unless it is necessary, then he will have to step in.
".. I haven't gone out of the city yet ever since I came here. I wanted to stroll around first." said Raziel to Cale and Hera so they looked up to each other.
"if that's the case then the young master should accompany by two knights. the city was vast after all. as the youngest son of a marquis, there are assassins lurking in the shadow and waiting the right time to attack you. even though the young master is as strong as those people who's at the peak of upper stage, we still have to be cautious as using your power too much can greatly affect your rationality."
hearing Cale's advice, Raziel just gives him a reassuring smile, ".. there's no need. I will be careful."

The white carriage In front of the boutique shop becomes the center of attention as the people start to whisper one after another. Inside the carriage, you will see a beautiful man with long silver hair sitting on the passenger seat with his elbow positioned in the window and his legs crossed with a sour expression on his face. This man is, of course, the youngest son of duke, Lucas Earhart.
Lucas hated it when someone disturbed him while he was sleeping, but he had to put up with it because his older sister always dragged him out of bed when he was still in the middle of his slumber, and since he couldn't disobey his her either, all he could do was to grouse.
"tsk. this is so boring."he whispered, but soon after, he narrowed his eyes when he saw a familiar person not so far away from him. he have a black hair and blue eyes. He wears a black frock coat and red waistcoat with a gold-rimmed glasses and a black sword on his flanks. he's talking the children from slums with a smile before giving them a food. what happens next is something that Lucas didn't expect. As soon as he snap his finger, swarms of crimson butterflies surround the children which make them gasp in amusement.
After seeing the children playing, Lucas smiled broadly and walked towards the alley where the slum children were. Meanwhile, Raziel just watched the children play with a faint smile on his face.
It may not look like it, but Raziel actually likes children a lot. Probably because he hasn't seen himself having fun like them ever since he was a child.
In fact, he barely even remembers the last time he smiled genuinely in front of the people. He felt that it was not needed anymore as he grew up in such an environment where people only cared for their own achievements and status, so why would he even bother?
He stopped thinking when he felt a familiar presence as he turned to face the familiar figure, he saw Lucas Earhart, decked out in a high-collar shirt and waistcoat in a striking color scheme of lilac. He was waving at him with a smile, just like a child who had found something exciting.
"if it isn't Raziel! so you're fond of children huh?" the children just glance at Lucas as they gasp when they see how attractive he is, so they approach him with an adornment on their face.
"are you a girl?~" asked the boy who wears patched and mended clothes that makes Lucas lips twitched.
"I'm a guy."
"but you look like a girl to us~"
"I told you I'm a guy."
"It's not, you're a girl!"
"you.. I told you I'm a guy! so just scram or else—!"
the children stop from talking as tears start to fall down on their eyes that makes Lucas smile awkwardly. "No.. what I'm saying is.."
"You Nobles are so mean!! I hate you!" the girl with brown hair run from them while crying while the other children gives Lucas a glare before follow the girl, on the other hand, Lucas just stare at them with dejected face, so he just pouted like a child and Crossed his arms.
"hmmp! if you hate me then I hate you as well!" he shouted.
Meanwhile, Raziel's reaction couldn't comprehend anymore while looking at the person in front of him. 'what did I just watch..? a children's fight?' he thought while staring unbelievably to Lucas.
And when Lucas saw him staring at him, he smiled widely again. " You are no doubt Mr. Silver's youngest brother. No one can compare the Ravenwood's Spiritual Art in terms of beauty." he praised him. but Raziel, on the other hand, just stood up while wearing his poker face and started to walk past him, yet Lucas immediately rushed in front and blocked him.
"ah! don't leave! it seems like you're strolling around the city, I can guide you!"
"No thanks. really."
"don't be such a snobber~ I'm a good person!"
"..."
Then again, Raziel just kept staring at Lucas smiling face. He wanted to observe him from the shadow 'till the end of school year yet, who would have thought that Lucas will approach him instead. but still.. it is a good opportunity, he just hope that he could withstand this person's noisiness until the end.
thinking this, he just sighs inwardly. "all right." and when Lucas heard his reply, he gave him a grin once again and patted his shoulder.
"then.. we should go to the entertainment district first, it is the most famous district here in the city and mostly, aristocrats often go here to have some fun and ease their mind, it is also known as the district of festivities."
---
entertainment district..
A hundred years ago, the great emperor Sirius Embers built an entertainment district for his son's 21st birthday which is byron. Since then, the district has become a popular place for ceremonies and celebrations. Some say that the entertainment district also became the battlefield between emperor Sirius and the demon lord, Sakhr. The emperor won against him by sealing him at the tomb of cataclysm that is situated deep within the district using every ounce of his power.
Thus, Byron Embers succeeded to the throne at the age of twenty-two, inheriting his father's skill. And then one hundred years have passed, another war broke out, but this time, it is an all-out war between heaven and hell. Obviously, Byron Embers fight alongside the heavens to eradicate the demons who dare to threaten his kingdom and while this was happening, Victoria Embers was born.
The heavens won for the second time and, as a result, Byron survived. For a few peaceful years, the Mylrendell kingdom flourished, and then they got another daughter named Iris Embers yet twenty years later, Byron passed away from a chronic illness. As a result, Victoria became the next ruler of the kingdom.
She married a man from the noble family of the Dmitriv Empire, but since the Queen is also part of the royal family, she didn't adopt their last name. Instead, he adopted her last name.
At this point, Iris got married to Luke Earhart, and today they already have two children - Luciana Earhart and Lucas Earhart. Meanwhile, the Queen already has four successors. One of them was Cyrus Ember.
back to the present, Raziel was taken aback when he saw a beautiful Japanese-style house made of wood around him. There were lanterns on the side of the house that served as the lighting, and flags hanging above them with intricate designs. Many people were walking in the alleyways, from the slums to the nobility.
There are food booths on each side of the street, and some people are wearing a long, loose robe.Others are wearing a kimono, while others are just wearing a white, normal linen shirt and trousers. Most teenagers are seen wearing these different types of clothing.
'this place gives somewhat a similar vibes..' he thought and still looking around, they just keep walking together, and as soon as they reach at the end of the alleyways, they found a large pagoda castle that almost reaches above the sky, and then an octagram on the floor where there are women performers dancing In front, they all wearing a long loose robe, and in every movements they made, it as if like their robe goes with the beat and flutters that makes their dances to be graceful and refined just like the waves.
There were lots of people, mostly men, watching the performers dancing together, some of them were clapping their hands accompanying the music they heard to create a beat. Raziel found this rather fascinating, so he just stood there and watched them.
"ever since the district of festivities was opened a hundred years ago, it has been used by the people as a way to deal with problems or when they feel empty or frustrated. The district of festivities also helps keep the sorcerer in control, which is why the lumence city became the home of geniuses, as they have already produced ten legendary sorcerers, with two of them being at their peak and three apostles who are very close to attaining demi-god status." he heard Lucas explained to him.
however, Raziel just ignored him as the thing he was interested to know the most was the large mysterious castle in front of him, so he asked.
"what about that castle?"
Lucas gives him a glance, a few minutes later, a small smirk curve on his lips before pat his shoulder and smile broadly.
"who knows.. I'm curious as well, want to go inside?"
".. what?"
...
